Chapter 24 Bound To Be His Wife

Sam went out of the Palace along with Celeste and decided to go back to the mountains where they are currently hiding. He admits that he could feel the burdens that Terra was carrying all the way, it affects everybody in the land of Moresis.
A sigh exited on his edges and Celeste gently tapped his shoulders upon noticing that he feels frustrated, "You seem stressed about it, why?"
"The evilness of this world can only be ended if we bring the heart with us. We cannot go down to the kingdom of Hades," Sam replied and he seem to be disturbed.
Celeste kept silent as they began to walk once more. As they arrived at the spot, dismayed looks greeted the two of them when they explained what the prince says.
Timothy feels upset, he knows that his life is in threat and it won't be prevented if they won't cut the roots of the danger.
"Terra," Timothy called her yet she was too spaced out. She knows that Thrille Daven is the one who is behind the misfortune of their place. However, she wants to confirm it still.
It quite bothers her, she told him to never show up yet Thrille was too captivated by her beauty that he falls for her. She thinks that mayhap if she put her life in danger, Thrille would rescue her and she would grab the opportunity to ask for his favor—to stop the chaos and cancel the wars that are about to arise.
"I must confront Thrille," she mumbled and they altogether glance in her direction.
"What do you mean? He is the devil, Terra. He is the second prince of the underworld, what are you saying?" Timothy disagreed.
"But we must get his heart, the only thing to do that is to let Terra meet her death," Sam spoke, and everybody who attends their conversation gasped due to his unpleasant idea.
"You want her dead, don't you? Oh, I forgot, you are a beast." Timothy argued and he barely controls himself from punching the man before him.
Sam clenches his fist and began to speak, "It is not what I meant. Terra is one of my family, and I cannot let her perish! Thrille loves her, and I know he won't hurt her."
"Nonsense. How come the two of you are family? I never saw you once in our place, who are you, beast?" Timothy asks with a bit pride of in himself. The other girls could not interfere in their discussion, they are somewhat afraid to interrupt them.
"Terra is my long-lost cousin, she is the daughter of Harlow Caddel—my mother's sister."
Upon the sudden disclosure, Timothy felt confused. He knows her as the daughter of Theodore Elliot and he doesn't trust Sam Williams. "What you are speaking is foolishness," Timothy commented which triggers Sam to reveal the truth. He knows a lot of things from the past up to the present, he wanted to keep all the secrets and mysteries he knows but he believes that the right time would come when everything shall be uncovered.
"Terra's not the real daughter of Captain Theodore. He lost his son, assuming that the Caddels took the infant. He assassinated the rest of my family and took the newborn which was left in the crib, crying. He adopted her and named her Terra," Sam confessed, and everyone was surprised including Terra Elliot. She didn't know that Theodore would do such a horrible thing. She only knows half of the truth.
"Who was his lost son?" Cachet Memphis asks, and her voice nearly trembles in hesitation.
"His lost son was Timothy Ambers," and he shifted his gaze and glanced in the direction of Timothy who could not say anything because of shock.
"What?" The ladies questioned and it feels like a dream. No one dared to believe his phrases, and the Prince was dumbfounded by what he knows.
Meanwhile, the King sits on his throne as he pondered about the schemes he wanted to take place in the life of Prince Timothy. He wouldn't show any mercy to a man who can possibly kill him. He assumes that it is quite clear in the vision that his younger son shall steal his life.
His attention was placed on the gates of his chamber when his other son, Gohan Ambers enters. "Father, I am now starting to worry about my brother." He hasten his way to sit on the couch and waited for the king to respond.
"You must calm down, Gohan. This is not your business to meddle, you should at least do your workouts and search for Lorelei!" The king replied yet his son was troubled even more.
"They probably killed him! You know I cannot afford to see his corpse. My poor brother," the prince felt weary and his heart has been sobbing in despair. He loves his brother Timothy, he cannot lose him.
"Iasariel is not our place, your brother trespassed against them and it is their will to steal his life. We cannot do anything about it, my son." His heart has become stone, yet he was startled when Prince Gohan throw a glare at him and stood up, walking nigher.
"You know what needs to take place the moment I know my brother is killed, if they won't return Timothy I shall start the war," he firmly uttered with his eyes bulging in anger.
He walks out of the room, leaving the King dumbfounded.
The sun finally set and darkness began to cover the entire land of Moresis. The folks in the mountains made a small bonfire to lighten their spot, the townsmen wouldn't recognize them at the top if they won't cause any unnecessary noises.
"Shall we proceed to stay here?" Cachet Memphis asks while she gently stroke her hair strand, waiting for the rest of the group to be gathered in a circle.
Celeste sat beside her while sensing the surrounding. She is being careful about what must take place, after what had transpired earlier, Timothy barely throw a punch toward Sam Williams. He is furious and has become bitter due to the unexpected disclosure of his past. Until now Timothy is a bit harsh towards them, he scowls from a distance and he is reasonably pissed off.
"Tim, could you at least give me a moment to talk to you?" Terra spoke, she walks nearby and sigh upon seeing the Prince gazing at the night sky.
"What else do you wish to speak? Don't spill any lies, Terra. I had enough, my entire life is a lie. How should I even react?" He blurted, preventing himself to speak foolishly. He heavily breathe in and began to calm himself.
"How can I be able to seek for a reasonable motivation if I am too downcast of what I have known. The King wants me dead, and I felt confused at that very moment. Now it all makes sense, it is because I am not his real son."
Terra remained silent, she wanted to hear his side, and being a good listener could help him feel better. The other folks at the center were simply eavesdropping on their conversation, they feel pity for the prince.
"Do you think we are the only one who is suffering such tragedy in life?" Memphis muttered and watches the flames grow even heftier.
Celeste on the other hand simply shook her head. She took a twig and moved some of the burnt woods. "Everyone undergoes misfortunes in life, with a different phase because we have distinct strengths and weaknesses," she replied, and Memphis agreed.
"And I guess not everyone can win over their battles," Memphis once more retorted, and Celeste had thought about it.
"It depends, the problem is created by our minds. If we consider certain events as problems, we think about them quite often and it would affect us emotionally and mentally," Celeste clarified and the woman beside is deeply amazed by her answers.
"You are somewhat correct," Cachet Memphis agreed.
They began again to discuss particular occasions and learned from them. And as time goes by, they decided to circle around the bonfire.
Running. Coughing. For the time being, in the far land of Glamidale. A woman prowls in the town as she dreadfully cries for help, yet unfortunately, no man attends to her cry. No man throw a glimpse of her direction and it feels like she is all alone.
The townsmen have eyes but they choose to play as blind, they have ears but they don't attend to your cries. They never care, Glamidale is a place where you'd live in misery.
"Help!" She cry out yet nobody ever take a glimpse of her being. She began to wander amidst the city and she could sense that her life is at risk.
A group of men were marching from afar and they are currently heading towards the city gates. Her countenance was flastered with fright and she hastily ran for her life and hid behind the houses of stones.
"Anong nangyayari? Bakit may mga kawal na paparating?"
"Hindi ko rin alam, ngunit narinig ko na galing sila sa pag sasanay."
"Sa tingin ko'y may paparating na himagsikan, naalala ko ang sabi-sabi na may propeta na nag anunsiyo tungkol sa magaganap na gulo sa buong isla ng Moresis."
Turmoil coated the entire atmosphere and Sage Williams could not understand any single phrase from the townsmen's discussions. She dwell among the shades and become a nobody behind the shadows.
The knights entered the city and the rest of the troops began to plaster an image of a woman. "Glamidale, kami ay naparito upang ianunsyo ang isang mahalagang bagay na nag mumula sa hari." In a snap of a second, the townsmen halted from their works and everybody walk near the center to heed the troops.
"Ang hari ay nakatanggap ng sulat mula sa kaharian ng Thornsfrost at hinihiling nila ng ating tulong," the man momentarily pause and glanced at the crowd. "Isang mamamatay tao ang nakawala mula sa kanilang piitan at sinasabing nag punta rito upang magtago."
Upon what they heard, they altogether gasp in surprise and murmurs coated the atmosphere of the city. "Kung ganoon ay kailangan natin mag ingat!"
"Siya'y patayin!"
The city is in an uproar, the knights once more grabbed their attention and spoke. "Kung sino man ang makakakita sa kanya, huwag mag alinlangang patayin. Maraming salamat at magandang gabi," their last words put gladness in the hearts of the people. The troops had their exit and the woman whom they are referring to cried in silence behind the shades.
"They cannot find me!" She cried in distress.
The entire city went back to its business and she got the courage to run fast away from the crowd.
On the other side, Terra Elliot and the rest of her companions circled the bonfire as they began to enunciate a discussion. Timothy feels a bit blue upon the oddity he received and it bothers him. However, he wanted to know more of the truth. He knows his life is in danger at the hands of the king whom he thought was his biological father.
"Can we have our moment to discuss about our plans? We must get the heart of the beast as soon as possible," Terra demanded and they simply threw a glance in her direction.
"How shall we be able to get his heart? I don't want to enter the gates of death," Cachet Memphis retorted.
"You are his lover, Terra. This time, learn to sacrifice yourself." Silence wrapped the entire place when Celeste spoke, her phrase were as fierce as the blades of her dagger.
Terra felt bitter upon attending to the woman's voice. "He won't stop unless you shall be his, I've heard such myths long time ago. Mayhap you are the key to the gates of Hades," she proceeded to speak and everyone barely grasp their breath.
"Is that even possible to believe?" Timothy Ambers retorted.
"He won't hurt you, Terra." Sam Williams uttered, the lass seems to lose her strength. She thinks it is all her fault, yet she doesn't want to die, she doesn't want to be with his arms. She doesn't want to accept the fact that she is destined to be death's bride.
Terra kept silent as she tempted to reflect on herself. She was overthinking the possibilities, upon hearing out their perspective, she wanted to do what is right and that is to be betrothed with the monster she ever thought to be the reason of everything.
In the middle of their discussion, the fire grew bigger and it caused the cities beneath the mountains to had a glimpse of its spark. The townsmen ran their way, leading themselves to the king's hall and reported about what they saw from the hills.
"The intruders burnt the hills and they are coming for us!" The folks were in chaos and the troops flee from the palace to raid the area.
"We probably must have our rest," said Sam Williams before they could go to their places of rest, and a unit from the kingdom of Iasariel overran their location.
"Stop right there!" Said one of the crew.
"What is this?" Memphis nearly screamed in horror when the rest of the men began to chain them.
"What are you doing? We are not an enemy, please!" Terra attempted to get away from their grip yet she is too weak to flee from them.
"The offenders are here," an army whispered to his companion and they glared at the men and women before them.
"Timothy Ambers, I could not guess that you are also here. Why are you hiding with these fellow sinners? Are you too cowardly to confront your death?" A man with an axe comes nigher to his direction and while the rest of the men held the Prince, he was about to swing the weapon but was interrupted when a voice of a woman speak.
"Enough with the bloody treason! Bring me to the king and I shall present myself to him as an offering for the lives of these innocents." With an autority on her voice, she gritted her teeth in anger as she throws her glare to the army before her.
"Who are you young woman?" The men shifted their attention from the Prince, and with a teasing grin they began to mock the woman.
"I am Celeste Guerra and I am the daughter of the late nobles, Calem Guerra and Leslie Alcaraz-Guerra." Upon her response, their mouth gapped open, and they could not believe that it was her. They bound her hands with chains in haste and the other members could no longer defend themselves.
Sam Williams had the urge to suck their blood and that distractive thoughts were running behind his head. "Lame," he whispered.
They got in the cities and the crowd admired their presence, they were brought into the dungeon and they feel that they lose their authority. Celeste never wished to have a kind of entrance for her comeback and she feels so offended and mad to the folks who watched them suffers.
"This is not working," she complained and forcefully kicked the cell door in much bitterness.
"I wanna go home for whoever's sake!" Memphis asserted and scowls at the corner, biting her nails in anxiety.
"We need to calm down, the king hasn't requested anything yet." Sam Williams appears at peace yet his heart is deeply troubled. He felt the sudden thirst and he could not quenched it.
"They are at the peak of killing us, can't you do something about this?" Timothy blurted while breathing heavily, he has been having a difficult time calming himself.
"You'll be dead any second, Timothy. Why don't you just accept your fate?" Sam argued. All of them are not in the right mind to think and it would only cause them to fight against one another.
"Enough, we are all in need of help here. Are we going to betray one another?" Terra interrupted them and they lowered their head.
"I never wish to be caged in this dire dungeon, I want vengeance." Celeste mumbled to herself and clenched her fist in fury. The entire place was filled with overwhelming darkness, other prisoners are hopeless for they are stuck in the dungeon for years and counting, some of them already died. It's either someone shall request for your death, or they shall fail to exist on their own.
The king of Iasariel sent a letter toward Thornsfrost and informed the royalties that they have caught five deceitful sinners. "They have seen my brother and have found Terra. I must go and visit Iasariel, father." Gohan Ambers uttered with desperation, he constantly desire to see his woman and he to feel her embrace.
"Have you gone mad, Gohan? It is quite risky," the king argued yet the prince could not wait any longer for his response.
"Permit me to go there," he demanded and flee from the presence of the king's throne. He rod his horse and entered the woods, he traveled two days journey before he could finally reach his destination.
The king could not feel at ease, his spirit is troubled for he knew that once the princes met, his darkest secret shall be uncover. He could not think straight and he fell into severe sickness.
One time, captain Theodore walked his way toward the camber of the king. He wanted to know further details about the upcoming war, for it was not postponed nor halted. It shall soon occur days from now.
"Greetings, O King. How are you feeling?" Theodore Elliot questioned, expressing his sentiments. A glass of water was on his grip and he called out for the King to let it be drink.
"Theodore, are my sons already home?" The king responded with a weak tone of voice. He was having difficulty in breathing, and he barely open his mouth to speak. His voice is trembling in anxiety and his heart is at the peak of giving up.
"Not yet, sire. Iasariel did not sent any further announcement about them," the captain replied.
"He is so foolish for running after them, don't you think? He is so obsessed with your daughter that he wanted to marry her amidst all this turmoil." His voice was filled with wrath yet he could not completely express his emotion.
"What? My daughter is alive?" The captain spoke and he nearly let go of the glass he was holding. He could not truly express the emotions he felt at the moment, he thought he was foolish to agreed on with the king to put his daughter into dungeon.
"Your daughter is my son's weakness, I have no idea who's who but the seer told me that one of my sons shall come to betray me," the king let go of his sinister laughter yet the captain seems displeased upon his plans. The king began to cough and nearly
"Why don't you take a drink, sire? I bought you a glass of water. The queen has become worried about you, she has been asking the servants to prepare a meal for you."
The king received the glass of water, he gradually sat on the mattress and sip from it. Theodore felt struck upon the phrases he heard from the king, for it repeatedly occurred in his head.
"Have your rest, O king."
He departed from the chamber and exit his way. As he walks on the aisle, all of a sudden, he felt bitter. "I cannot let you harm my daughter," he whispered.
It has been days since the time Prince Gohan Ambers arrived at Iasariel. He was rather desperate to rescue his bride upon knowing that Terra Elliot was stuck in the dungeon with his brother, Timothy Ambers.
He ask for the King's consent to visit the prisoners and as soon as he opened the gates of the dungeon, a broad space greeted his sight and there are occupied cell rooms in each corners. Gohan seeks for the said room where his brother and his bride lurks in along with the rest of their companion.
Upon his sudden arrival, Timothy Ambers was startled. Terra on the other hand felt dumbfounded upon beholding the face of the man whom she shall be marrying sooner. Unknowingly, her tears fell on her cheeks and she felt overwhelmed. She hastens her way toward him and darted herself into his chest.
"Gohan!" Terra cried on his shoulder and he embraced her back.
"Terra, what has gone in to you? Why are you here with these people?" Worries could be heard from his voice and he kissed her forehead and was tempted to give her relief.
The rest of the prisoners waited for the prince to speak, hope arises within their hearts and they know they shall soon depart from the place.
"Brother, how are you doing? I have heard that they are about to steal your life?" The eldest prince faced his brother, Timothy and gave him a tight embrace. He misses him so much and he could not deny the fact that he is worried about the young man.
"I need to tell you something," Timothy asserted yet he was interrupted when the troops announced their freedom.
They got out from the dungeon, Terra seems to be afloat due to the abrupt incidents which takes place. She wanted to rest, she wanted to end everything.
"I badly want to go home," she whispered. The prince heard her and he held her hands like never before, he couldn't believe that he could actually touch her. Gohan remembers what Constance has spoken, she wants to lowkey destroy Terra Elliot and he must saves her life before it's too late.
"Worry not, milady. You shall soon feel the softness of your bed, you appear so weak and exhausted."
"Brother, what shall we do to them?" Timothy questioned as he look behind them, upon seeing the three strangers, Prince Gohan sigh.
"Where are you from?" He asks them.
"I am from Xenia, and I was lost along my way, Terra promised me to lead the way back home, so I'm here." Cachet Memphis retorted with a suspicious countenance, she appears anxious and troubled.
"I am from this territory," Celeste simply replied and shifted her gaze.
They altogether place their gazes toward Sam Williams and waited for his answers. "I live alone in the forest, yet I always feel lost for until now, I am desperately seeking for my siblings."
"Who are they?" Timothy questioned with his usual tone of voice, feeling a bit blue.
"Sage and Alcott Williams," he responded. Timothy was at dazed upon hearing the name of the woman whom he once liked.
"Sage Williams? I no longer hear about her whereabouts," Timothy thought.
"Thornsfrost has been looking for her, she attempted to kill the captain but ended up thrusting the dagger to my prisoner, Ezekiel Harold."
Silence filled the atmosphere when Gohan responded. Terra seems to fall on the ground any moment, the thoughts couldn't process inside her head and she feels so confused and furious.
She couldn't believe how a trusted servant would attempt to kill her father and ended up murdering her best pal. "She's a monster," Terra whispers and clenches her fist. She halted from walking and that caught everybody's attention.
"She probably didn't do it on purpose," Sam Williams asserted but the lass was too bothered.
"I am about to end everything, I'm so sick of this tragedies. Mayhap, if I end my life, everything shall be restored again?" All of a sudden, she recklessly snatched the sword from the prince and held it in a risky point. She faced the sharp edge on her chest, and everybody gasped in horror upon her abrupt and careless action.
"What on earth are you thinking, Terra?!" Gohan was surprised upon her action and he nearly screamed at her.
"Put that thing down, Terra."
"You're about to go home, you should be glad." Memphis asserted and calmed her down. The rest tried their best to ease the bitterness in her heart yet she's becoming hard on herself.
"Death's been waiting at my door," Terra Elliot whispers yet she was surprised when Sam Williams snatch the sword from her grip as fast as he could and throw it away.
"What kind of mindset is that?" The vampire asks and let go of a heavy sigh, they felt pity for Terra's situation yet they know that she needs to die for them to gain the victory and restoration of their lands.
"Let's go home!"
Celeste Guerra remained in Iasariel, for she has a lot of stuff to accomplish and she wants to please her vengeful heart. Cachet Memphis was sent to her home place, the Ambers decided to accompany her and had a two days journey. Upon sending them home, Sam Williams remained with them. He wants to place his eyes at his cousin, Terra has becoming more careless and she doesn't have anyone to take care of her.
Upon reaching at the gates of Thornsfrost, Timothy smiles bitterly. He constantly thinks about the possible reaction of the king right after knowing their arrival.
"Never I had seen someone look so lost in their own home," Sam muttered, seeing the lass looking so pale and lost.
"You need a long rest, milady." They headed their way towards the Palace and the Queen greeted their sight, with excitement in her heart she ran fast to welcome her sons.
"Oh my dearest sons, goodness you two are safe! I have been worrying about you," she cried and gave them a tight embrace. Yet still, Timothy feels bitter upon thinking that he is not a real son. He feels so disheartened.
Nothing excites Terra, the surrounding appears so dry and the entire kingdom was in silent. The curse wasn't over, and her heart wanted to mourn.
She tries her best to neglect what her eyes are seeing and as they arrived at the hall, a man walks near her with the same authority he ever have since she was a kid.
"Father!" She cried out like a child and hopped on to receive the captain's embrace. She misses him that much and she nearly thought everything was just a dream.
"Terra, my daughter!"
The two of them understand their sentiments and Theodore ask forgiveness to his daughter. The princes visits their father at his chamber the moment they heard that he is deeply sick. Timothy couldn't gaze at his well-being, he is in pain and in grief.
The royalties however tried their best to solve the problem yet even the witch, Constance couldn't provide a solution for the curse she made. She knew Terra is the key towards Hades and once she perishes, the land shall be restored.
One morning, as the sun was about to completely rise, Theodore visited her daughter with a tray of meal on his grip. He wanted her to feel that he is there whenever she needs him. However, Sam could sensed that something's wrong with the captain. He has been observing everybody inside the Palace and nobody could even discerned where he lurks. He is behind the shadows, hiding and eavesdropping.
"How are you feeling now?" The lass smiled and sat on the bed, she doesn't want anybody to see her deep groanings for the desire to kill herself and offer her soul to death.
"I am doing alright, father."
"I am glad to know that my daughter is alive, you don't know how we worry about you, Terra."
'You could have at least search for me,' the young lady thought.
"Your wedding shall happen today, Terra. You know that the clash between kingdoms are becoming strong and it shall soon come to pass, you need to be betrothed to the prince before the war finally transpire."
The words of her father nearly choked her. Her eyes widened in surprise and she threw a stare at him, "Father, I cannot!" She retorted. She couldn't believe that afterall the dreadful moments she gone through, she shall be married to the prince.
"Terra, I thought we already discussed about this?"
"My heart is not beating for him!" She blurted out and carelessly stood up, walking away from his direction.
"Enough Terra! Why are you so stubborn? This is for your own good, the prince will protect you."
"No, I can save myself." Her words are firm and Theodore knows he cannot convinced her anymore.
Terra proceeded to get out of the room and she bumped into the cursed woman. "Constance?" She surprisingly mumbled when their eyes met.
"You are finally here," the woman said with a wide smile on her face.
"... What are you doing here?"
"The eldest prince appointed me to cure the King," Constance responded and walk pass through the lass.
"I must go, Terra. It somewhat displeased me seeing you here, kicking and alive." Her final words hits different, Terra Elliot could sense that the witch want her dead any moment.
She ran towards the garden and she encountered Timothy along the hallway. "Tim," she calls out.
"Why are you not preparing, Terra? The wedding ceremony shall soon takes place," he uttered.
"No, I cannot marry your brother. You know I never love him," she refused.
"But you are now bound to be his bride," Timothy asserted.
Terra repeatedly shook her head and convinced him, "No one says I cannot cancel the wedding, Tim. I might be forced to be his bride but I can simply ran from his grip any moment now, I am bound to be the death's bride."
"Terra, what are you saying?" Timothy feels confused yet he couldn't ask any longer for she ran her way.
"I cannot marry the prince, I will never let myself become somebody's playground," she whispers.
