Twenty minutes through the drive and they were already zooming toward Stanford Avenue, that's where Pandy resided. He was about to say something when he realized she'd already knocked out~ her face calmed in sleep. Do-Hyun smiled, he knew for sure she hardly got a good rest. She was kind of stubborn with cases and will go to every length and do everything to get the culprits– his observations confirmed. He smiled, glancing at her for a moment and then back to the road. Almost at their destination, her occasional turns and sniffs caught his attention. She looked so sad and helpless. It seems she was having a nightmare, silent tears trekked down her cheeks– she cried in whispers. His worried gaze kept monitoring her and he felt sorry~ this was the trauma she had endured the past years as an infant, witness and only survival of such a gruesome murder. He knew because he shared the same fate. Do-Hyun slowly reached for her hand. His fingers were long and swallowed hers easily~ gently, he squeezed hers. “ It's okay...” He whispered and Pandy tightly clenched onto him, still in slumber. “...I'm here now~you're safe.” He kept comforting her into stillness. “ Calm down, It's over.” The words repeatedly played on his lips. Soon, he realized she'd relax back into sleep but still clenched unto his hand. ****************** “ I'll bring the kids over tomorrow,” Lousia said over the phone. She had called her mother to aid her assistance since she'd want to keep the kids in the dark for the time being. “ I'll like them to stay with you till everything is over.” She briefly added. Nia, her mother knew things might be difficult for her at such a time– she was ready to assist in any way possible so she agreed without any hesitation. “ Don't worry... I'll pick them up myself.” She announced. Louisa nodded with a weak smile. After the call had ended, she dialed another line which was quickly answered after the first ring. “ Can we meet tomorrow ?” She instinctively asked and a male voice replied with an Okay.“ HAVEN~at noon... I guess you'll be on lunch break then.” Sure they've come to a deal, she bid a good night and the line went dead. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Their car finally pulled into her compound, making a stop at her garage. She was soon jolted awake the moment it pulled to a halt. Her eyes instinctively caught Hyun's gaze fixed on her. And when she noticed their hands clenched together, she instinctively snatched away her hand as if she'd unconsciously burned it with a hot saucepan. She fidgeted, casting a furtive glance. “ Are you alright?” He asked and Pandy nodded but then, he wasn't fully convinced. Would she be okay alone?~ what if he asks to spend the night so to be sure she's safe– the thoughts kept hovering. Her brows furrowed, conflicted at the looks in his eyes– he looked like he had a million-dollar question on his mind, wanting to ask. “ Are you sure?” He repeated and she tilted her head in response. “ You can come in for some snack,” She said as she flung herself down the car. “ I'll love to~ right after you,” He said, and Pandy lead the way. After making sure the car was well locked, he threaded her lead. The dark room soon swept with light on their entrance. “ Make yourself comfortable,” She said, marching to the mini kitchen seated to the right of the hall. His gaze slowly toured the simple but quite complicated condo. “ Nice place you got here.”He said and Pandy smiled with a thanks. “ Care for some water?” She queried but Hyun objected~ his gaze just had a lot to explore. He noticed two rooms at the far end of the hall– one marked with NO ENTRY and the other he believed to be her bedroom. As a detective himself, he knew that had to be her private investigative room. There must be something in there that might be of help to his investigation as well but then, how would he gain access to such a place– his thoughts kept wondering. “ What do you wish to know~ you look too dubious from up here.” Pandy joked as she placed down the plate of chicken naggers. His face instinctively lined with a sheepish smile. “ Ah...sorry for that” He apologized but Pandy just laughed it off. She knew exactly what his interest was –her short observation and investigations had proven that he was the last survivor of the other family of the 2005 Homicide incident. Joining hands with him would help the pace of her investigation and aid bring down their greatest enemy. “ No need to~ let's finish up first, I've got something to show you.” She said. He stares at her. He held his fork in one hand, his snack totally forgotten. His attention was focused on Pandy– his gaze looked like he wanted to ask what it was but Pandy gently clapped him on the arm with a chuckle. “You'll find out soon, don't worry.” She said and returned to prepare some juice. ************** It was already dawn when they realized; Pandy didn't want to risk any life so asked Hyun to stay over for the night. Although he initially objected yet Pandy's insistence left him no choice but to accept. The two were later seen at the doorpost of Pandy's secret room. She pushes through the door into a peaceful room that displayed a large board covered with a couple of pictures, portions of news articles, and snaps of crime scene weapons. The boxes of files and packed books greeted them from the table opposite the board greeted. “ Wow~ you got a lot going on here.”He said almost in a whisper. Pandy who was already in front of the board, chortled, waving him over. “ I guess this is you,” She said, pointing to a picture of a young boy in a blue shirt and jeans. Hyun looked surprised. “ When did you find out I was from the 2005 incident?” “ When I noticed your interest in “ THE HOLY MURDERER'S ” case~ it made me want to know more about you so I checked it out.” She answered. Hyun was impressed with how observant and efficient she was. Before Pandy could ask, he offered to help out solve the mystery behind THE HOLY MURDERER and bring justice to their family. She was so glad that, she wrapped him in a hug~ Hyun was perplexed at her sudden character that he remained frozen. Reality soon hit her like cold water–she instinctively redrew from his embrace without a word. She fidgeted, their gaze became furtive, enveloped in an awkward silence. “Let's check through these old files first.” She broke the silence, in an attempt to turn the atmosphere around. A sudden smash of glass outside the door flinched them out. “ What's that?” Pandy cried in a whisper.
