"You shouldn't have waited for me." I said at Uno. After his duty at the hospital, he still managed to pick me up. This man is really consistent. I never thought that the little guy I met accidentally at the riverside will be part of my life now. "Ale, I have something to tell you." he immediately said as soon as I got inside his car. "W-what is it?" I nervously asked. "I would just like to ask you to be my date—" "Yes!" I immediately answered, thinking that he'd asked me to be his girlfriend, officially. I almost burst into laughter because of my dumbness. "I'm not finished yet," he said and laughed. "I will confirm it, okay? I would just like to ask you to be my date on Gonzales Medical's Christmas ball." "O-of course, I would love to." I trailed with glee. As he drove the car, we passed the Eftychia Apolonia. A famous restaurant in town. Although the restaurant was kinda famous, they never reached the elite range when it comes to the price of their food. I kinda like the restaurant and its owner, Mr. L and Mrs. S. They maintain the high quality of the taste that their food has even if it only costs a little amount. I admired them as they do not judge people nor discriminate against them. We experienced that as an indigenous person went inside with us. She just had enough money to pay and it was all coins. Still, they accepted it and even gave her freebies. "Are you hungry?" he asked and chuckled a little bit. "Stop laughing. I just remember what happened at my late birthday celebration." I said while pouting my lips and crossing my hands, leveling my chest. "They were great people, weren't they?" "Uh-huh." I agreed. "Can you still recall what happened on this day when we're still kids?" Uno asked. "Wait. What day is it now?" "December 7." he answered. I burst into laughter as I realized it. That's the day when we fell into the compost pit near the river. We swimmed at the river that time because our parents would scold us if they'd know we fell into the compost pit. We're both wet so we stayed there for a while to dry ourselves. The sunset came and we're still there. And then he said "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" I laughed at him that time without knowing what he meant. That was the year of 2020, I guess. I was still 7 when that line became famous. He glared at me and I explained myself. "Well, dear unknown guy, the moon is not yet here." I said and laughed so hard. "You laughed at my confession." he said and wiped his invisible tears. "I was a kid back then, duh. I don't know about that thing." "I respect you like the moon. Would you let me love you like how the moon is doing? " he said. "I-is that a confession? How should I answer?" "Marry me, Ale." - After his proposal, we decided to go to a boutique to choose a gown I will wear on their Christmas ball. "How about this?" I asked and walked towards him. I saw him sitting on the couch and he saw me, he put down his phone and looked at me. His eyes twinkled. "Perfect! Everything looks perfect on you, Daph—Ale." he trailed softly. Daph who? My name isn't Daphne, Daph or what. "Whoa are you texting, Uno?" I asked. "My mother," he said. I just believed it and so we went directly home. We had some dinner with my family. He courted me for about 10 months but I've never seen his parents nor her foster parents. "Don't get me wrong, Uno. I would just like to ask you about your parents." mommy asked. "My foster parents were Mr. and Mrs. Nueva." pertaining to the current holder of the Gonzales Medical and Luisenio Unibersidad de Pampanga. "Hmm-kay." she said. "And how about your real parents?" she queried when Uno's phone suddenly rang. "I'm sorry, Madam but my mom's already calling me. There's an emergency at the house." he said and left without even talking to me. "Where's his manners?" my mother asked. "Maybe something really happened." Yulo said. "That's right, mommy. He'd never done something like that before." I said, totally agreeing to what my brother had said. "He's with his phone while eating, never calling me mom or aunt. Is he really serious about you?" my mom argued. "I'm totally assuring you, mommy. He's serious with me and you're the first to know if he did something worse." I presume and we continued to eat. He proposed to me. He wouldn't do it if he didn't love me, right? He's not even giving me mixed signals. He's into me. That's what I know and am grateful for. UNO'S POINT OF VIEW Mackenzie doesn't excite me anymore. I don't want to play with her now. I left their house because my girl called me. "Babe, I will make her scalp bleed if that Markian sticks to that girl." Gracey said while clinging her hands on me. We're about to make out when my mother called me. My real mother. "Hello." [Mother: Meet me at your Aunt Matilde's restaurant.]
