Episode 10

★Zara's POV★
As I approached the house, I couldn't help but wonder what was inside and what they wanted from me. I decided to walk towards the house, but then I turned around to grab the flag first. I hesitated for a moment, but then I turned back to face the house and made up my mind to reach for the banner first.
The situation had already made me feel insane, and who wouldn't be in such a frustrating position? However, despite the madness, there was always a "but."
When I finally reached the banner, I couldn't believe what I saw written on it. I was completely shocked.
"I knew it! I knew there had to be a reason for all of this! I miss my mother!" I exclaimed as tears streamed down my face. I knelt down and looked up at the banner to read it again.
To my surprise, the banner read, "Keep off, CC Group of Company's Property." But that wasn't true!
According to what my mother told me, we have been living in this house since before she found a job. The house was actually built by my late father. So how does it have anything to do with the CC Group of Company?
Do they just want to make me homeless? Is that all they've got? How heartless! What do they gain from making me homeless? This doesn't even amount to one percent of their company's net worth. Why be so wicked?
Since I have already seen this one, I think I should go read the one on my wall. After wiping the tears from my eyes, I reached out to the house. The message on the wall read, "This house has been acquired by the CC Group of Company. You have just 12 hours to pack out."
Doesn't it sound strange to you? Who the hell sold my house? I never remembered selling this house, so how come they acquired it? Is this some kind of prank?
They must be crazy! Even if they want to push me out of my own house, they should just come directly and do it instead of using some crappy methods!
"To hell with you guys!" I said as I tore off the paper from the wall, folded it, and threw it away. Then I ran to the banner and pulled it out.
"I will wait for them! They can try all they want, but they can't do anything! They have no right over this place, none at all!" I declared, determined to stand my ground.
"If this is some kind of game or frustration, they need to stop it! It's a must!" I continued, my anger vibrating through my body until I felt something cold in my hand.
Slowly looking down, I was shocked to see that my hand was covered in freezed. I tried to open my hand slowly, but the wood used to make the banner broke in two because it was frozen so cold in my hand and become weak.
This was clear evidence that this company was the one trying to push me out of the house with the flood. I threw away their banner and got rid of the frost in my hand. Then, I ran into the house, determined not to leave until they came for me.
However, the problem I would face now was food. How would I get food to eat? Well, I didn't think the house would be completely empty. I needed to look around inside the house to see if there was anything I could eat, even if it was just leftovers. Anything edible would be okay for me for now.
★Tina's POV★
I had finished getting ready for school and had made up my mind that I wouldn't go without my brother, David. I had to take him with me to prevent any damage from the woman.
As I stepped out of my room and into the living room, I noticed that my mother wasn't there. I knew she must have been in her room, so I headed over to see her.
However, I was interrupted by a voice saying, "A cute hard-working student, huh?" I turned around to see Aunty Benita standing behind me. I didn't say anything to her and just stared at her, attempting to leave silently. But she interrupted me again.
"You must be very intelligent, aren't you?" she asked, and I smiled in response.
"Thank you for the compliment, but you can't take that away from me," I replied. She chuckled smoothly.
"And do you think I was interested in whatever you are doing? Your intelligence? That wasn't enough to keep you alive," she said, and it felt like those words held a deeper meaning. I turned and stared at her.
"Perhaps that's your mission, right?" I asked, and she shook her head with a smirk.
"No, that's what I have come to arrange, to give you life and..." she started to say, but I interrupted her.
"Shut the fuck up! You are no god! You are just a mere human sneaking around, looking for a peaceful home to destroy!" I shouted at her.
"My intelligence? I was born with it, and you can't take that away!" I continued, determined to stand my ground.
"Yeah, but I saw your blood spill out in the air, your head roll up to the sky before falling like a piece of paper, the enemy..." she kept going, but my mother stepped into the room and the discussion ended.
She noticed the tension between us and asked, "Tina, are you okay?" I looked at Aunt Benita, scared of her last statement.
"Yeah, Mum, I'm fine," I replied, walking up to her and standing beside her while still looking steadily at Benita.
"Oh, Benita, here's David..." my mother started to say, but I interrupted her.
"Don't bother, Mum. I'll take care of him," I said, taking David from her.
My mother looked at me surprisingly and asked, "Tina, are you not going to school anymore? You're already dressed up."
"Come on, Mum. Taking care of David doesn't mean I'm not going to school. I'll take him with me," I said with a smile.
"Come on, Tina, it would be a distraction for you," Aunt Benita said as she tried to take David away from me.
"Don't even dare! Don't touch him. He won't distract me, so I'll take care of him," I replied firmly, while my mother looked at me with surprise.
"Tina, are you sure about this? What about your teachers in school? What will they say?" she asked.
"They won't even let me carry him on my own. They'll assist me," I said confidently, and my mother looked at me happily.
"You know what's amazing about you, Tina? You never cease to amaze me," she said with a smile. "Okay, since you can take care of him, there's no problem," she approved.
I smirked and looked at Aunty Benita, our eyes meeting like we were about to begin a war. "Come on, Kate, don't tell me you're serious right now? David would..." she tried to complain, but my mother stopped her.
"But she insists, so there's nothing we can do to stop her. As long as she's going to take good care of him, then it's fine. Come on, Tina, let's go," my mother said, and we both headed outside.
As we left the house, I looked at Benita with a mocking expression on my face. I was determined to teach her a lesson and show her that she was a stranger here, no matter who she thought she was.
As we arrived Outside, my mother suggested that I should take my car since I was going with my little brother, so there was no need for her to drop me off.
My mother made sure I left before her and then she left for work. As I was on my way to school, I realized that Aunty Benita was desperate to get David and it seemed like she was already getting what she wanted.
In that case, I had to do everything I could to keep her away from David. I decided not to go school but to visit my friend Tina instead. I would stay at her place until the end of the school day, and then I would come back home. I didn't want Aunt Benita to come to school and steal David.
I knew she was capable of anything, and my mum even worshipped her like a goddess. Isn't that funny? Haha.
