Episode 16

★Aunty Benita's POV★
It's a new day, and I've been eagerly waiting for it. I couldn't sleep last night because of what I have planned for today. It's a sad day, but it will teach that little brat a lesson she won't forget. She should have known not to challenge things that are bigger than her. If she gets another chance to return to this world, she'll remember this day. But if not, she'll burn in hell.
Finally, I can carry out my plan without being interrupted. I'll just lie down on my bed and wait for Kate's cry. And of course, I'll be with David throughout the day as Kate tries to come to terms with her daughter's death. Then, I'll take his power away, whether it's by force or peace, dead or alive. I don't care. I've been through a lot to get to this point, so nothing will stop me from becoming the Queen of the Coast and ruling over the powers of the seas all around the world.
However, I'm ignoring something important. Now that I've gotten rid of my problem, it seems like I have more challenges to face. The charm I used for Kate may be broken, and another spell may not work on her. I'll put that aside for now and wait for the good and bad news before deciding what to do next. It's only 6 a.m., and I'm not tired yet. Let me wait and see what happens.
However, her mother should have already noticed that she's dead by now. Tina is supposed to be out of her room and getting ready for school. So, her mother should have gone to look for her. Maybe I should wait a little longer.
I waited until 7 a.m., which is the exact time Tina leaves for school. But there was still no sign that she is dead. I wondered what was going on.
"Benita!" Kate called me without sounding bothered. I was sure it must be about Tina.
"I'm coming!" I responded with a deadly smirk. I got up from my bed and headed out of my room to meet her.
★Tina's POV★
I was all set to leave for school with my mom, and I was carrying David with me. As I had told my mom, I would take care of David until that woman, Aunty Benita, leave the house and a new nanny was hired.
Just as we were about to leave, my mom called out to Aunty Benita.
"Mum, why are you calling her out now? I thought I told you that I would take care of David," I said to my mom, puzzled.
"I know, my dear. But that's not why I'm calling her. I just want to let her know that we're leaving, so she can take care of the house and herself," my mom replied, smiling.
Just then, Aunty Benita stepped into the parlor. But she looked frightened, and I didn't understand why.
"Are you okay?" my mom asked, noticing Aunty Benita's demeanor.
"Yeah, I'm okay. But excuse me, is that Tina standing beside you? Is she all right?" Aunty Benita asked, leaving me and my mom staring at each other in confusion.
"What do you mean, Benita? Of course, this is Tina, and she's fine," my mom responded while she was still staring at me.
Aunty Benita had a shocking look on her face, and I couldn't quite comprehend what it meant.
"Benita, are you all right?" my mom asked again.
"Oh yeah, I'm okay!" Aunty Benita said, nodding with a fake smile.
"Just that...um, she looks good in her school uniform. It's like I'm seeing her appear more beautiful like this for the first time," she said, and my mom smiled.
That's the problem with my mom. She believes everything Aunty Benita says without questioning her motives. She doesn't even realize that Aunty Benita's recent actions need to be investigated thoroughly.
"Okay, then. I called you out so that you're aware that we're leaving the house. You've been sleeping today, so I just want you to take care of the house, okay?" my mom said to Aunty Benita, but she didn't respond. She was still lost in thought, staring at me. My mom glanced at me, worried that something had happened.
"I'm okay, Mom," I said to her, noticing the way she was looking at me. Then, my mom turned to Aunty Benita, who had already regained her composure.
"I've heard what you said. I'll take care of the house," Aunty Benita responded, and my mom nodded.
"Okay, but I still don't understand why you're looking at my daughter like that," Mom asked, shrugging her shoulders.
"Her appearance today makes me want to go back to college. Come on, she's so neat," Aunty Benita said, faking a painful smile.
"Okay, goodbye then," my mom said, and we started to leave the house. However, Aunty Benita interrupted us.
"Um, sorry for disturbing, but excuse me! Is Tina still going to school with David?"
"You shouldn't be doing that to your daughter. Even if she insists on taking David to school, you shouldn't allow it. It's disturbing her studies," Aunty Benita said, and I interrupted her.
"Excuse me! Are you me? Am I you? I said David isn't disturbing me, so what's your problem?" I responded with a stubborn look on my face.
"It's okay, Tina," my mom said to calm me down. Then, she turned to Aunty Benita.
"Benita, I understand what you're trying to say, but Tina has assured me that David isn't a disturbance to her studies. Her teachers help her carry the baby..." my mom was still speaking when Aunty Benita cut her off.
"Why does she need help from her teachers when I'm home alone doing nothing? Why am I even here?" Aunty Benita said, and my mom stared at me.
"That's because I love being with my brother. I love seeing his face and his smiles. Mostly, I hate it when he cries, and he's always crying with you," I said, and Aunty Benita breathed down and folded her arms.
"Did you hear that, Benita? Anyway, let's go, Tina. We're running late," my mom said, and we were about to leave when I looked back and saw Aunty Benita staring at me again.
"What?!" I exclaimed loudly, drawing my mom's attention back to us. Aunty Benita forced a smile and said, "What's that, Tina? Come on, go to school, sharp girl," with a fake smile.
My mother didn't say anything because she thought we were just joking. She left the room, and I looked at Aunty Benita and gave her a mocking smile that left her fuming before I left the house.
★Aunty Benita's POV★
I couldn't believe what I had seen today. I needed a drink to calm myself down, so I ran to the table and grabbed a bottle of drink, taking a sip.
Who the hell is Tina? Does that mean the spell I cast on her last night didn't work? No, that can't be. It's probably because my spells are getting weaker every day as I'm taking time to restore my full power as the Queen.
But damn it! This girl is giving me a hundred percent headache, and I can't take it anymore. I brought my godlike self down just because of her. She's making me feel useless.
I've had enough. I can't sit here and play games with her anymore. I'm running out of time. I began thinking, walking around the house, looking for a way to solve the issue.
Then, I realized that I have to make this appear bloody since that's what she wants. If Tina still comes back earlier than her mom, I'll stab her to death and run away with David. I've had enough. I can't take this anymore. I'll be waiting for her today, and she'll die in my bare hands. That's my conclusion, and nothing can change that.
