Episode 21
★Tina's POV★
"Then you must promise that you will never betray me," he said, while I stared at him wide-eyed.
"What...?" I asked, confused.
"I want you to swear that you will never betray me!" he insisted, as I took a deep breath and looked at him.
"Alright, I swear that I will never betray you," I replied, and he nodded. "Good, now I can trust you," he approved. Ready to go after Bethel, I quickly stood up.
"Can we go now?" I asked eagerly. "Not yet," he responded.
"Come on, what are you saying? They already have my brother, and they're going to kill him soon, then come for me," I protested, moving closer to him. He looked into my eyes and shook his head.
"No, that's not true," he said, but I was still confused. "How?" I asked.
"Restoration takes time, it's not something that happens quickly," he explained. I smirked and turned away from him.
"So we have to wait until it's fully restored before we can go after them?" I questioned, frustrated.
"No, it's not about waiting, it's about my plan. Just trust me," he reassured, and I remained silent.
I made my way to the couch and sat down, feeling annoyed. Berry stared at me for a moment before coming closer.
"Why are you so concerned about saving your little brother when I told you that you're the one who needs saving and that I'll go with him?" he asked, making me blink in confusion.
★Aunt Benita's POV★
I kept my eyes fixed on the wall clock, wondering why Tina hadn't come home yet.
It's like she has some sort of supernatural ability to evade my attempts to catch her. It's quite impressive, I must say.
It's currently 6:47, and she still hasn't returned, despite me calling her mother, who confirmed that Tina wasn't with her.
I have no clue where she could be, but she can play her games all she wants. I'll be patiently waiting for her right here.
Today, I will finally get rid of her, and nothing will stop me from doing so.
Well, I'll just practice a little more patience until 7:00 pm. If she's still not back by then, I'll go look for her myself.
After a few minutes, it finally reaches 7:00 pm, and Tina is nowhere to be seen. Her mother will be home soon.
That's when I realize it's the perfect time to track her down. It's the best course of action.
I could simply eliminate her and return home, pretending that she never came back.
"Wow, that's a brilliant idea. My thoughts never fail me," I say happily as I jump out of bed and prepare myself to make my move.
★Zara's POV★
I could hear the rushing sound of a waterfall surrounding me, enveloping my ears.
Strangely, I didn't feel any pain as I slowly opened my eyes. My vision was blurred, making it hard to recognize where I was.
I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision, and to my horror, I realized I was lying on top of a water bed. It was transparent and seemed to float in its own square space. I couldn't comprehend how it was possible for me to be lying on it.
The bed was soft and not cold, so I quickly jumped off, feeling a sense of fear. I looked around the room, which was equally amazing. The decorations, including gold, silver, and other expensive items, were truly breathtaking.
"Where am I?" I asked myself, puzzled about how I ended up here.
"The last thing I remember..." I muttered, trying to recollect my thoughts. It all came rushing back to me—how the shark was coming after me.
Alright, now I understand. Maybe I'm dead. Is this what the underworld looks like? I would have loved to escape this place, but something caught my attention.
There was a flower planted inside the room they had placed inside water. It gave off an aura of chaos. The water they planted it in resembled a bucket, completely transparent, with the roots of the flower clearly visible within it.
I wondered how it managed to remain standing. Slowly, I approached the flower, extending my hand to touch it, when suddenly I heard a sound.
The door opened, but instead of a conventional door, it was made of water, flowing back and sealing shut.
Then, a girl walked in, observing me with unwavering focus as I stared back, waiting to hear what she had to say.
She bowed before me, saying, "May I rise, my Queen?" I glanced around to see if there was anyone else in this place, but there was no one.
"What did you say? And who are you?" I inquired as she straightened up and smiled at me.
"I understand, my Queen. It has been a challenging journey for you, but it is over now because you have returned to your immortal life," she explained. I looked at myself and then back at her.
"So, does that mean I'm dead?" I questioned, to which she shook her head with a smirk.
"You cannot be dead because death is afraid of you," she stated. I took a deep breath and continued to look around, as far as my eyes could see.
This is purely my imagination! It's obviously impossible for someone to treat me like a queen just out of nowhere. I'm just waiting for myself to wake up from this dream or maybe find myself in the real underworld.
"I understand, my Queen. The world may not have been kind to you," she continued speaking. "And that's why you've forgotten so much. Your people, the people of the Coast, have missed you during this short time you spent on Earth."
I started to misunderstand her intentions. "I don't understand. Are you saying that I've been here before?" I asked, feeling confused.
"No, you haven't been here before, but you lived here. This is your kingdom. Come, let me show you around," she replied, leading me out of the room.
As I stepped out, I was startled to see two mermaids guarding my chamber with their golden tridents, even though there was no water around. They seemed to float gracefully as if immersed in water.
"If you don't remember me, then I suppose you wouldn't recall your guards either," she commented, noticing my surprised expression.
"But how is this possible?" I asked, still in awe.
"Alright," she said, snapping her fingers. Suddenly, I found myself covered in water, but to my astonishment, I could breathe underwater. I tried to speak, but I couldn't, as the water would make me choke.
"Now, may we proceed, Your Highness?" the lady communicated to me silently, without even opening her mouth. It truly took me by surprise.
Then, she gracefully floated, holding my hand, and eventually, we arrived at a place where I could see the entire Kingdom.
Only then did I realize that I had been merely following the lady while lost in awe. "Hey, I don't even know your name," I exclaimed, looking at her as she turned to face me.
"I am Naza, your loyal servant," she introduced herself. Overwhelmed by the sights before me, I was captivated by what I beheld.
The entire city was breathtaking. I witnessed fruit-bearing trees growing atop the seas and houses crafted from gold.
The most remarkable aspect was the use of water in creating these wonders. The spot where I stood was elevated, providing a vantage point for the army to scan for enemies from afar. It was constructed using water and adorned with beautiful flowers.
"Sorry, but how is this possible? How am I standing on top of water! And why does it appear solid, yet transparent like freshwater?" I questioned, puzzled by the spectacle.
"Because you chose this. Only you hold the answers to those questions. You shaped this kingdom with magic," Naza explained, but her words stirred frustration within me.
"You don't know what you're talking about! I don't possess any magic! I am just an ordinary human. I can't believe what I'm witnessing. This must be an illusion!" I protested, scanning my surroundings once again.
"If you doubt me, then perhaps there's someone who can make you believe. Look behind you," she suggested, and as I turned, I couldn't believe my eyes.
