Chapter 46 Arumi's Explanation

"Mom, please let him go!" shouted Mesya.
Arumi was silent for a moment, the woman had stepped on Denias' body several times.
"Why, Mother hurt him?" Mesya asked, the eyes of the two girls gushing clear liquid.
Arumi's footsteps left Denias' body.
"Why, honey? I'm just punishing him!" replied Arum.
"But it's not like that, Mom! It's too cruel," said Mesya.
Arumi smiled, then stroked her loved daughter's cheek.
"He wants to harm you, so it's only natural for Mom to be angry and beat him," said Arumi softly.
Hearing her adoptive mother's voice always calmed her down, and she seemed like a good person.
"Please let him go, Mom!" Mesya directed her gaze to Denias.
Denias slumped limply as if he could no longer lift his head.
"He's a dangerous person, don't you know yourself that he will hurt you with that knife?" asked Arumi while looking at the knife that was still in Denias' hand.
Mesya was silent for a moment as she swallowed her saliva.
The girl looked confused, why did Denias attack Arthur and his father, he didn't even run away?
Denias might have been doing this in self-defense since Arthur caught him first.
As is known, Denias has been missing for days and is being sought by the authorities.
Of course, this made Mesya sure that for the last few days Arthur and his family had kept Denias here.
Mesya just pretended not to know about her adoptive family.
She was a member of this family, which meant she also had a right to know about her family.
This time Mesya wanted to ask her mother everything.
The beautiful girl mustered up all the courage she had been hiding all this time.
"Mom, please explain everything to me," said Mesya with a downcast face.
Her whole body was shaking and heating up.
"What do you want to ask for me?" asked Arum.
"What, are you a murderer?" Mesya asked and she still didn't dare to raise her face.
Arumi burst out laughing, and the others laughed too, including Arthur, who thought his body was still sprawled.
Only David is still loyal with a straight face.
"Haha! Haha! You're so cute, honey!" said Arumi who laughed at Mesya's question. In fact, for Mesya, there is no humor in the questions she asks.
She spoke earnestly. She just wanted to say whatever was on her mind.
"Stop!" Mesya raised her face.
Her voice was so loud that it made the others stop laughing.
"What, you think my question is funny?!" she said, the voice that came out of his mouth was still high, it was clear that Mesya was angry. She doesn't like being toyed with by her own family.
Arumi immediately stopped laughing, her mouth suddenly closed, and her eyes sharpened as if piercing Mesya's heart.
"Why do you always ask that question since childhood?" asked Arumi in an even tone, no more smiling, always like that... Arumi's expression can change in no time.
Mesya's tears were getting heavier, she was very scared, she even thought maybe her fate would end here, surely her adoptive family would finish her off right now.
"Ah, look, your sweet face is scared, honey," Arumi wiped Mesya's tears.
"Don't cry, I don't like crybabies. The Subroto Diningrat family, it must be strong," she said.
"Family, Subroto Diningrat?" Mesya was silent for a moment. She lifted her face again.
"Why, Mom, mention the Subroto Diningrat family? Isn't this family name, 'Davies?'" asked Mesya.
"Haha, no dear, our real surname is Subroto, taken from the name of your late Grandfather named Subroto Diningrat, but for now we are using your father's surname, 'Davies' as a cover. Our family is eternal, it will not be able to die at any time, but unfortunately, our eternal life is useless as long as the Wijaya family is still alive," concluded Arumi.
"Wijaya? Who else is she?" asked Mesya.
"Huff...sorry dear, I can't explain it now,"
"Why? Don't you already think of me as a biological child? Then why keep everything a secret from me!?" Masya's breath was getting tighter.
"Mom, come on, tell me this family secret!" forced mesya.
Charles approached Arumi, then whispered in her wife's ear.
"It's about time," he said.
"Hufft...." Arumi sighed for a moment.
"Okay, Mesya. Looks like my little girl, has grown up. And it's time to know everything," said Arumi.
"Say it, Mom! Don't stall!" snapped Mesya.
"Woah! Even now, my little princess also dares to argue, huh?" Arumi shook her head and smiled faintly.
"Yes, Mesya! What you have suspected all along is true. We are murderers, we are followers of a cult, and the meat you eat every morning is human flesh." Arum.
Mesya did not budge, she was so shocked to hear the confession from her mother.
Even though she knew it from the start, hearing Arumi's words directly made her feel like she was struck by lightning.
She had become part of their family, and she had eaten human flesh like them.
Her legs suddenly went limp, the teenage girl slowly lowered her body into a sitting position.
She was crying profusely.
She was raised by the wrong family. She should have rejected it from the start.
Just wanting to achieve a dream in childhood, makes Mesya destroy her own life.
If only she had refused this family to adopt her.
Surely she would live a normal life in an orphanage.
Talking about the orphanage, Mesya remembers one thing, namely fire.
Maybe the fire that occurred at the Orphanage was also the fault of her family.
Mesya's body suddenly became strong, she stood up and came back with a face full of anger.
"Mom, is it true that the fire at the 'Pelangi Senja' Orphanage was also your fault?" asked the Mesya.
"Do I have to explain that too?" asked Arum.
"Of course!" said Mesya.
"But how do you know if the 'Pelangi Senja' Orphanage catches fire?" asked Arumi.
Mesya is silent again, she can't say if she knows about this from Romi, because can endanger Romi's safety.
