Chapter 27 Present, Dario?

Chapter 27:
As Sophia called for the doctors, she couldn't help but notice the tears streaming down Adelaida's cheeks. Concerned, she gently placed a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Adelaida, are you okay? Are you in pain?"
Adelaida managed a weak smile and shook her head. "No, Sophia, it's not physical pain. It's just... I can't believe how real everything felt in that other realm. It was like I lived a whole lifetime there, and now coming back here, it's like I'm torn between two worlds."
Sophia's brow furrowed with worry. "Two worlds? What do you mean?"
Adelaida hesitated, unsure if she should share the details of her experience in the other realm. It all felt so surreal, and she feared that Sophia might not understand or might think she was losing her mind.
"It's hard to explain," Adelaida finally said, choosing her words carefully. "I just... saw and experienced things that felt so vivid and real, but I'm back here now, and it's like those memories are fading away."
Sophia's eyes softened with compassion. "It must have been a very intense dream, Adelaida. Sometimes our minds can play tricks on us, and dreams can feel so real. But you're back now, and that's what matters."
Adelaida nodded, not wanting to delve deeper into the topic. She knew that her experience had been much more than just a dream, but she also understood that trying to explain it to Sophia might be difficult.
"I'll be fine," Adelaida assured her friend. "I just need some time to process everything."
Sophia nodded understandingly, not wanting to press further. "Okay, just know that I'm here for you, no matter what. If you ever need to talk or if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know."
"Thank you, Sophia," Adelaida said, touched by her friend's kindness. "You've always been such a great friend, and I'm grateful to have you in my life."
As the doctors arrived to check on Adelaida, she felt a mix of relief and sadness. Relief that she didn't have to explain her experiences further, but sadness that she would have to keep the memories of the other realm to herself.
In the days that followed, Adelaida tried to focus on the present, cherishing her time with her family and friends. However, the memories of the other realm continued to linger in her mind, and she couldn't help but feel a deep sense of longing for the people she had met and the love she had experienced there.
She kept those memories close to her heart, treasuring them as a beautiful and enigmatic part of her life's journey. And while she couldn't share the details with others, she knew that those experiences had shaped her in profound ways.
As Adelaida lay in her hospital bed, surrounded by the love of her friends and family, she knew that she had been given a rare glimpse into the enigmatic forces that sometimes shape our lives. She couldn't explain how or why it had happened, but she knew that she was forever changed by her journey to that other realm.
With Sophia by her side and the support of her loved ones, Adelaida knew that she could face whatever uncertainties the future held. Whether in the present or in the enigmatic realms beyond, she understood that life was an intricate tapestry of moments, love, and connections.
And in that hospital room, surrounded by love and the beauty of the present, Adelaida found solace in the knowledge that her heart was full of the memories of the past and the promise of the future—a journey of intertwined lives and enigmatic forces that had brought her to where she was meant to be.

Adelaida went home, fully recovered, her heart still racing with excitement from her recent journey to the other realm. As she stepped into her familiar surroundings, Sophia rushed to her side, unable to contain the great news she had been holding.
"Adelaida, you won't believe it! Your project was exceptional, beyond anything the professor had seen before!" Sophia exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.
Adelaida's eyes widened with surprise and delight. "Really? That's amazing! I poured my heart and soul into it, trying to capture the essence of the ancient world as if I had truly been there."
Sophia nodded eagerly. "And you succeeded, my friend! Your craft transported everyone who saw it to that distant time. It was like a glimpse into history itself."
A tinge of disappointment crept into Adelaida's expression as she said, "But the professor mentioned that the board didn't consider it. I thought my hard work had been in vain."
Sophia's face contorted with disbelief. "Are you nuts? Your project was flawless, Adelaida! The professor praised it so highly, and everyone who saw it was in awe. There's no way the board would overlook something so extraordinary."
Adelaida fell into deep thoughts, conflicted by the apparent discrepancy between the professor's praise and the board's decision. She knew she had poured her heart and soul into her project, and the positive feedback from her professor filled her with pride. Yet, if the board had indeed dismissed it, then she couldn't comprehend the reason behind their decision.
"Maybe the situation was altered somehow," Adelaida finally mused, trying to make sense of it all. "Or perhaps my work wasn't aligned with their specific criteria. It's just hard to understand why something so praised could be overlooked."
Sophia placed a reassuring hand on Adelaida's shoulder. "Don't dwell on the board's decision, my dear friend. Your project was extraordinary, and the professor's recognition speaks volumes about your talent and dedication. Sometimes, the path to success isn't straightforward, and there may be factors beyond our control."
Adelaida nodded, feeling a mixture of validation and consolation from Sophia's words. "You're right. I should focus on the positive feedback and use it to fuel my passion for artistry. Maybe there's a different path for me, one that will lead to even greater accomplishments."
Sophia smiled warmly. "Exactly! Your journey doesn't end here, Adelaida. This experience has only added depth to your craft and enriched your perspective. Keep believing in yourself, and amazing opportunities will come your way."
With Sophia's unwavering support, Adelaida felt a renewed sense of purpose and determination. She knew that the enigmatic forces that had guided her journey to the other realm would continue to shape her path in the present.

"Adelaida, don't think too much of the past and your experience in there," The voice talked to her. "This situation is a gift to you, you have improved the past realm. Be happy as you continue in this journey,"
"Wait, how, why?" Adelaida could not find the words to ask.
"Don't question my capabilities Adelaida as I have never questioned yours." The voice sounds like it was happy for her. "Dario" Her heart beats as the voice mentioned her lover. "He's in here." Her eyes grew wider as her heart is beating fast. "This will be the last time Adelaida, farewell"
With that the voice vanished, unable to answer Adelaida's question,   "Where is he?''
delaida's mind was a whirlwind of emotions and confusion. The voice's words echoed in her thoughts, leaving her with more questions than answers. She desperately wanted to understand what had just happened, why she had experienced the other realm, and how it was connected to her present reality.
As she searched for answers, her thoughts inevitably turned to Dario. The voice had mentioned him, leaving her heart racing with a mix of hope and trepidation. Could it be possible that Dario was somehow connected to the enigmatic forces that had led her to the other realm?

Determined to follow her heart, Adelaida set out to find Dario. She rushed to the place they frequented together, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, to feel his presence once again. Her heart sank as she saw no sign of him, and she began to wonder if the voice's mention of Dario had been merely a figment of her imagination.
As the days passed, Adelaida continued to search for him, asking friends and acquaintances if they had seen him. But all her efforts yielded no results. Her heart grew heavy with each passing moment, fearing that she might have lost him forever.
