14 - Day 2
/Myrtle's Point of View/
I woke up earlier than Sean to roam around the place. I went outside barefoot and looked at the ocean through the shore.
This place is heaven. I can't believe I'm actually experiencing going to a place like this.
Thank goodness the staff lend me a shawl to cover my skin. I'm still wearing my nightgown since the extra shirts here are not yet dried.
I let the cold breeze of air touch my skin and sighed. I can't believe I am actually married.
Am I dreaming?
Of course not.
"Good morning, beautiful. Why did you wake up so early?" I heard a voice from behind.
I didn't look back because I knew the voice was from Sean. After a while, I felt his arms being wrapped around me.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked him in shock.
"Hugging you, obviously?" he replied in his deep, morning voice.
I just sighed. I looked at the ocean and inhaled heavily.
"Do you like it here?" Sean asked as he buried his face in my neck.
Gosh. His actions make me weak.
"S-stop r-rubbing your face on my neck! I-it tickles," I said, stammering.
"Hmm? Alright."
"Isn't it on the contract that we can't be touchy-touchy against each other?" I yelled and faced Sean.
He just smirked at me. How mischievous.
"Let's eat breakfast," he then suggested.
...
After we had breakfast, we walked along the shore together. There were actually many things to do here, and I find it amusing since I never got to experience such things.
And to add that, I am finally wearing pretty decent clothes, thanks to the kind staff.
I don't feel comfortable showing too much skin to anyone—not even to Sean. Even if we're married by contract, I should still keep my dignity.
I can't believe a mere farmer like me married a young billionaire until now.
I know our marriage isn't like any other marriage made from love. Still, I feel like this marriage will actually make me grow.
As I stared at the ocean, I realized that I felt so happy.
My mom is finally in Switzerland right now. The doctors recently updated us that she was doing really well. I hope her surgery will be a success.
Mom is a great and strong woman. The surgery is just going to be a piece of cake for her.
"What do you want to do? Do you want bungee jumping? Or surfing? Let's do everything you want," Sean spoke. He was just standing beside me.
"I just want to enjoy the view right now," I replied.
I never dreamed of something like this happening in my life, ever. I always thought I would end up on the farm until I grew old, even if I graduated med school.
But here we are today. Chilling on a beach with a filthy-rich husband.
Sean and I found ourselves staring at the sunset. We were by the shore, and my head was resting on his shoulder.
"What do you love?" I suddenly asked him out of the blue.
"Me? What do you mean by that?" he asked in confusion.
"I mean, you know, the things you love to do or actually love. Your hobbies, favorite music," I replied hesitantly.
I know I shouldn't ask about that stuff because I don't care about any of those. However, I realized that we can't keep this marriage going on without getting to know each other on a deeper level.
I don't even know his favorites!
Sean inhaled heavily. "Things I love. Hmm, I love my job. I love my family. I love money. I also like playing the piano. I don't have any particular favorite music, but I'm fond of classical and pop," he replied enthusiastically.
I remembered the day when I first met him. He played me music while he was singing and playing the piano. That clearly wasn't a dream.
"So, that day at the hospital, why did you act like you didn't know me? When in fact, I'm your first love?" I asked him again.
I feel like this is a great time to ask him many questions. Of course, he's also free to ask me if he wants to.
"It would be weird if I suddenly acted like someone who knows you. You were in a middle of a breakdown, and I didn't want to interrupt you," he explained while his lips formed a small smile.
"Then why didn't you tell me immediately the following day? You even brought me in your place and lend me money and everything," I retorted.
"Because I don't feel like confessing during those times. I was having fun teasing you," he uttered and looked at me with a mischievous grin.
"I still didn't forgive you for everything you've done. I haven't got a job because of you," I complained and pouted.
"Come on. What's important right now is that your mom is finally getting her treatment. Oh, and I still have one answer from your first question." He looked at me and moved closer to my face.
"I love you too," he muttered.
I felt my heart throbbing so fast as I stared into his eyes. It's always different when Sean tells me those words. I don't know why I am feeling these things anyway.
It was like the first time when we kissed in the rain.
"That's not allowed in the contract. You should not fall in love with me," I said.
He didn't reply. I wonder if he even heard me.
It felt awkward, so I broke the silence.
"You know what, you're my first everything. My first kiss, my first holding hands, my first date, my first marriage, my first husband," I mumbled slowly while his face was just inches away from mine.
He smiled at me with a part of his upper teeth showing. "I'm glad I was your first in a lot of things. But firsts actually will never matter in the end. What will matter is the 'lasts.' That's why, miss Myrtle, I had always planned on making you my last." He moved closer again and looked down at my lips.
I swallowed a huge lump in my throat. He was so close to me that I couldn't handle his aura. His handsomeness, his body, his eyes, everything about him.
He's just too beautiful.
"May I?" he asked for permission before landing his lips on mine.
The sun was setting, the waves were crashing against our feet, the sand was scattered around.
Without a second thought, inadvertently, I nodded my head.
He gently kissed me. I felt his soft lips against mine, and I kissed him back.
He cupped my face, and I placed my arms around him. He was constantly brushing his fingers on my cheek as we continued kissing.
After ten seconds, I pulled away from the kiss, and both of us caught breaths. He was just looking into my eyes like my eyes were the most beautiful thing in this place.
After that, he pulled me and grabbed me by the waist. The next thing I knew was that I was already lying on the sand, and he was on top of me.
He lowered his face to me again and kissed my forehead. "I love you. I'm dead serious about it. It's okay if you don't love me yet, but I'll make sure you'll fall in love with me," he said in his deep, hoarse voice.
He attacked my lips once again, and I couldn't do anything. I liked how he kissed me. Even during the first time we kissed, I liked it. I like his kisses a lot.
I pulled him closer to me as we kissed. His arms were still cupping my face.
After a while, I felt his tongue slowly brushing on my lips. I made way for him as I followed his movements.
Everything was just getting so intense. My heart was beating so fast, and it was scorching.
His hands went down inside my shirt. I was startled when he suddenly grabbed my right breast.
I didn't know what to do. I panicked! This was the first time a guy did this to me! Should this even happen when people are kissing?
Abruptly, I stopped kissing him and tilted my head away from his.
He also stopped and pulled his hand out of my shirt.
My emotions were messed up. I didn't know what to say, and I was too embarrassed to speak.
"Sorry," I heard him speak.
He pulled me up and suddenly hugged me in his arms. He brushed my hair while he kept muttering 'sorry' while we were embracing.
I don't know why he kept apologizing. I'm not mad at him at all. I was just startled.
He kept gently caressing my hair.
"I'm not mad," I finally spoke.
"I know. I just feel like I shouldn't have done that," he replied. He was still hugging me.
"You shouldn't. That's a violation of the contract."
"Right. I'll just pay my fine."
He finally pulled away from the hug, and he looked at me intently in the eye. The wind brushed his hair, and I smiled at him.
"You're a really good kisser," I teased him.
"You liked it?"
I nodded.
He smiled at me and planted a kiss on the tip of my nose.
"Let me remind you, Mr. Sean, you broke many contract rules today," I sternly said.
He just smiled at me.
"You're starting to fall in love with me," he said.
"I'm not."
I heard him chuckle.
"Let's break our own contract. Damn the rules."Download Novelah App
