After a few minutes, they finally arrived at Agrianthropos City. Beckett talked to a few people there before they entered completely. Vivianne followed Beckett like a child because of the size of the place, as if she might get lost. Vivianne glanced around as they walked. There were people cleaning the streets, selling their products, and doing other things just like ordinary people. That wasn't what she expected. She thought that because there were bad people here, she would see bad deeds like in their organization. There's no time for slouching, smiling, or even resting. It's all about work there, and if they talk to others, it should only be about work too. Vivianne also thought that the place only looked ethereal from the inside since they were hiding their real identities, but it’s not the case. The place is really beautiful. Ordinary, yet peaceful… Something she didn't expect. “A penny for your thoughts?” Vivianne blinked and snapped back to reality when Beckett spoke. There, she saw that they were in front of a house. It wasn't too big, but it wasn't too small either. It was simple, but the decorations were obviously expensive. There was also a second floor and a terrace in front, where beautiful views could be seen. Vivianne was sure it would be peaceful to hang out there, especially tonight with the fresh air. It suits her preference so much, the same as Beckett's. “Come here. Have a look,” Beckett invited her, and she followed. Like she expected, the interiors were simple yet pleasing to the eye. The whole house had a white and gold theme with touches of black. It was similar to Beckett's penthouse before, so she had a thought. “Did you also build a house here?” Vivianne asked. “I can’t say that this is my house, but I have the right to live here,” Beckett replied before opening a room there. “You can buy your clothes at the department store and place them here. You can also stay here for now if you want.” “Stay here… When I want to?” Vivianne pointed to herself while furrowing her brow. “I don't understand. I thought we weren't going to live together yet?” “I know, but I’m talking about the times when I’m not around and I unintentionally leave you alone.” Beckett looked her in the eyes, and she saw a hint of sadness in his expression. “I don’t want it to happen, but I don’t hold the future. So, instead of fearing what might happen, I prepared something just in case.” Beckett scanned the room, and Vivianne did the same. “If something happens, and you need somewhere to run, go here and find me,” Beckett said before gently stroking Vivianne’s cheek. “I promise, once everything is right, I will run toward you without any hesitation.” Over the course of two days, Beckett toured his wife around there so she wouldn't be too lost on their next visit. Vivianne was also surprised to see some illegal places there. That's where she realized that not all beautiful and enticing-looking places are clean. It was just like the Allamino family. They seemed honorable in the eyes of others, but they were truly rotten inside. “This is the bar.” Beckett pointed to the bar beside them. “You can go inside if you want to. The rules here are stricter than outside. No one will try to disrespect you here, or else, they will face severe punishment from the founders.” “Won't you forbid me like other men?” Vivianne asked, raising an eyebrow. She suddenly remembered her ex-boyfriend Tristan. She knew he was probably in hell by now, but there wasn't a day when he didn't scold her for wearing revealing clothes or going out with her colleagues. “Why would I?” Beckett smiled, but there was also a hint of curiosity in his tone. “Your body, your rules. So if you want to go somewhere, then I’m here to support you. Just make sure that the place is legal and safe, though.” Vivianne paused when she heard those words. Somehow, she felt validated. Before, she was always told by Tristan that she was just being difficult, and she should just follow the man because that's tradition. She had seen the signs but decided to act blind because she loved Tristan so much at that time. His infidelity became the turning point for her. “Are you okay?” Beckett suddenly asked, bringing Vivianne back to reality. “H-Huh?” “You spaced out after I showed you the bar.” Beckett glanced at the bar before returning his gaze to his wife. There, she suddenly remembered where they first met. It was also in a bar, and she even asked him for a hug because of the sadness she felt. He suddenly remembered how hard she was crying. “Wait, you’re not thinking about Tristan, aren’t you?” Beckett's expression darkened as he asked. “Don't be jealous. I was just remembering how toxic our relationship was before, and I'm happy that despite the pain, I was able to break free from that kind of relationship and find even better things.” Vivianne smiled before touching the space between Beckett's eyebrows, which was furrowed. “Shall we? Because in a place this big, I'm sure two days won't be enough to explore everything, so... why don't you just take me as far as we can walk?” “I like the idea.” Beckett's annoyance disappeared, replaced by a smile on his lips. He extended his hand toward his wife. “Shall we?” Without hesitation, Vivianne took the man's hand before continuing their journey. AFTER their stay in the Agrianthropos City, they went back to their City to deal with some things. Beckett resumed the schedules that were postponed because of their wedding and honeymoon in Venice. It was mostly photoshoots, and despite the hectic schedule, Beckett still found time to supervise his other businesses. It was fortunate that Nathan was there, his right-hand man. Beckett's presence was only needed when there were important decisions to be made. Meanwhile, Vivianne went back to being a dress stylist. Only as a freelancer, though, but nonetheless, Vivianne was happy because she was no longer confined to managing the Mafia. Since she married Beckett, Alfred's control over her had diminished, and almost everyone knew that she was Beckett's exclusive dress stylist before they got married. So when she said she wanted to return to her old job, there was nothing her father could do about it. But because Beckett was her husband, everyone looked up to her, so she had to be extra careful. “One… Two… Three… and we’re done!” The photographer of the man Vivianne had dressed clapped when the photoshoot was over. Vivianne smiled. She missed this feeling. When she saw how confident the models were in the clothes she put them in, it somehow boosted her self-confidence as well. “Thank you, Vivianne,” said Brix, her client's name, before giving her a small paper bag. “This is just a simple gift, but I hope you like it. Your talent in the showbiz industry is well-known, so thank you for accepting my offer.” “No problem, and thank you for trusting me.” Vivianne took the paper bag and smiled. “I'll go ahead, okay?” “Sure. Sure.” Brix smiled and asked one of his people to accompany Vivianne to the parking lot. Vivianne drove back to the warehouse because she needed to take care of something there. When she parked her car, she looked inside the paper bag first and smiled when she saw that they were silver earrings. Along with that, her phone rang, and she received a text message that made her furrow her brows.
