Chapter 9: Anastasia Cullen

Chapter 9: Anastasia Cullen
Vishiea’s POV
“The king wanted to meet you and others today at eleven thirty,” My brow furrowed as I looked at her. “I mean, at luncheon. You are one of the VIPs, so you must be there,” she continued. I see. I nodded my head.
“I’ll be there. Anyway, thank you for informing and helping me,” I said and smiled a little. She smiled back, “It’s my pleasure to help you, my lady.”
She stood up and bowed, “I’ll take my leave then. I’ll see you around,” she said, turning her back on me. I watch her vanish in my vision. When she was gone, a sigh escaped from my lips, and I looked around.
“This feels surreal. Now that I’m back, I’ll make them pay,” I murmured in the wind. A smirk slowly formed on my lips.
It’s payback time.
I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to shower. I wanted to roam around the palace once again. I’ve been exiled for seven years, and I miss this place. I only hated those people who lived here. No, I don’t hate them; I loathed them.
After a quick bath, I wore my clothes and applied a few makeups on my face. When I was ready, I left the room and walked down the wide hallway.
While walking, I saw many maids looking in my direction. Some of them smiled and bowed to show respect. They probably know that I’m the only successor of Miss Kiara, the Duchess of Cullenfield.
I just nodded my head and continued to walk. I miss doing this. If Darius was busy before, this is what I always do. I toured the entire palace to discover exciting places. Like the library, the garden, and even the kitchen.
Most of the time, I spend my time in the kitchen. I joined the royal chefs to cook something for the royalties. It’s just a pity that I can’t do that anymore. A sigh escaped from my lips, and I stopped walking.
I walked closer to the terrace on the third floor and looked at the scenery before me. The palace was at the top of a hill, a few miles from the mainland city.
I closed my eyes to feel the cold breeze touching my skin. I couldn’t help but remember the past. I remember how he hugged me on my back while we watched the same scenery in front of me. How he whispered into my ear how much he loves me.
“Can I ask you something, love?” He asked while hugging me on my back. I hummed and replied what. I felt him smile and embrace me even more.
“If we will have a child in the future. Do you think I will be a good father?” He asked. I thought about what he said, but a few seconds later, I smiled widely. I turned around and faced him.
“Of course, you are. You will be a great father to our children,” I replied. That made him smile and hug me again.
“Children? Do you mean we will have many children?” I winked at him and playfully punched his shoulder.
“It’s not that bad if we plan to have many children. You are my mate, and we are destined to be together forever,” he laughed at my response.
“Silly you, but I agree. Yes, we will be together until our last breath.”
That sounds ridiculous. I can’t believe I fell for his lies. My eyes were fluttery opened when I felt someone staring at me. I looked around the whole area, and I was right. I saw three men looking at me.
And one of them was familiar, very familiar indeed. The man I will never forget… Darius. He was staring at me now as if he didn’t want me out of sight. A grin slowly formed into my lips. I guessed it right. I know he knows it’s me, the girl he hurt before.
One of his companions was trying to get his attention. “What?” He snapped and glared at them. My grin widened. I used that opportunity to leave. This is not the right time for us to talk. It would be better if he thought what he saw now was an illusion.
I walked back to my room and prepared for the luncheon. I’m pretty sure he and his fiancée will be there. I’m wondering how he will act. Surprise, like earlier or something? I’m pretty satisfied with his reaction earlier. It seems like he just saw a ghost. If I were him, maybe my response would be the same.
I glanced at the wall clock to see what time it was. It’s eleven in the morning, half an hour before the luncheon. I need to get ready for our reunion.
At Eleven ten, I heard someone knock on my door. “Come in. The door was open,” I answered. I saw Yana open the door carefully and enter.
“I’m here to get you,” She informed me. I nodded and stood up.
“Great. Let’s go,” she nodded and guided me out. While we were walking in the hallway, I saw some familiar faces. I even saw the warrior who’s guarding Darius 24/7 before. I’m happy to see him still working here.
“My lady?” I heard Yana asking for my attention. I looked at her, “Yes?” She smiled widely before asking me a question.
“I was wondering if the rumour is true about your mother,” I raised an eyebrow.
“What do you mean?” she bit her bottom lips. “I heard that she’s sick. Is that true?” She asked again. I let out a sigh, “That’s true. That’s why I’m here and not her,” I replied. She looked down, “That’s sad. She’s the kindest woman I know. I hope for her fast recovery.”
I tapped her shoulder, “Yes, indeed. And thank you, Yana.” She nodded.
“No worries, my lady.” She said and stopped walking. I looked at her in confusion. “I can’t go inside. I will wait for you here, my lady.” Oh, I see. I nodded, “Thank you for guiding me then. You can go back to your room and have a rest. I remember my way back,” I thanked her.
“Really?” I nodded. “Yes. So, go now.” She bowed and started to leave. I took a deep breath and looked at the two men guarding the dining room entrance.
They bowed and politely greeted me, “Welcome, my lady.” I just nodded. They opened the gate for me to get inside. As soon I entered, another man announced my arrival.
“Let’s welcome. Lady Anastasia Cullen from Cullenfield!”
