Tamed By Her Love Episode 76

At that point, she was resting her head on his lap, and facing him. Then, he smiled, and asked, “Why? What is your offense?”
“I should have let you know that Prof. Farrell stood in the place of a parent for me.”
“I see. It's not your fault. The bickering we had now and then did not allow us to discuss extensively about us.”
“I got you. No more bickering. I guess?”
“You are right. We should be stable enough to take care of our love baby. Okay?"
“I love that. Promise me that you will stop emaciating.”
Now Johnny showed worries, and asked, “Is it too obvious?”
“Not at all. But I wish to see your old self.”
“It is okay. I will submit my project tomorrow, and take enough rest.”
“That is better,” she accepted got up from his lap, and began to adjust her hair.
“Take it,” he announced. She turned swiftly, and to her delight, he gave her a hot kiss.
Thereafter, he said, “I love you, my Ruby.”
“I love you too,” she responded, and he got out of the car, walked to the passenger's side, and opened the door for her.
He held it for her until she got out of it. Then, he shut the door and they walked to the lecture hall. He ensured that she got into her hall before he waved at her, and turned back.
Now, the joy that radiated from him swallowed his emaciated skin. He greeted as many students who greeted him before he got into his class. Meanwhile, his sex friends had learned to stay away from him, especially Ivy and Chantelle, who were in the same class as him.
At Ruby's Lecture Hall.
She was in love for the time, and her first sex brought her a love child. She believed that the pregnancy was proof of her love for Johnny, and she was proud of it. The lecturer was not in the class yet when she walked in, and she confidently joined Carmine.
Now, she looked intently at anyone who dared to look at her, and rather than look away, the person would end up looking away in shame. Soon her phone beeped, and it attracted her attention. Likewise, she discovered that the message was from an unfamiliar number. She hurriedly punched on the message button, and read through.
(Hi, my daughter. I hope you slept well, and how is my grandchild? I wish to check on you, and I hope you love your new house. For security purposes, delete this message after reading. We will sort things out later. Love from your mom and dad.)
Instantly, her face sparkled with joy, and the people around could see it. Then, she quickly responded.
(Good morning, Mom. I'm doing well, but just missing you and Dad. Your grandchild is fine, and missing you too. I will delete the message as you said. I love you, Mom.)
She quickly wrote the number in her diary and deleted the message at once.
Then, she turned to Carmine, who was busy with her book, and whispered, “I have a big gist for…”
“Good morning, all,” the lecturer, who just walked in, interrupted her.
“Good morning, Mr. Rodney,” the students responded cleared their desks of any distractions, and focused on him.
“We will continue later,” Carmine whispered, and Ruby nodded her head in approval.
Then, the lecturer began by apologizing for not being available the previous day.
“I apologize for being absent yesterday. It wasn't intentional.”
Afterward, he turned to the computer for his PowerPoint presentation, and suddenly, a voice came from behind, “Why were you absent from school, Mr. Rodney?”
He turned briskly and faced the class. Meanwhile, he saw the students focusing on him with a bleak outlook, which made it difficult to dictate the last speaker. At least, he was certain of one thing - he heard a boy's voice. Now, he was torn between two options, to ignore the question, and carry on with the lecture, or give them the honor of explaining why he was not in the class to render the service that they paid for.
Howbeit, he chose the first option, but he regretted it. He turned and booted up the system, but he heard another voice, and this time, a female.
“You have not answered the question, Mr. Rodney.”
Now, the thirty-year lecturer, who taunted his lecturers too in his school days had no choice but mellowed down.
He faced the class and stated, “I was at the Vice Chancellor's office.”
It was not a secret that he was among the teachers, who crowded the Vice Chancellor's office, just to see a girl who fell pregnant, and he was ashamed of himself. Now, the response was not satisfactory because he did not give his purpose for being in the Vice Chancellor's office when he was supposed to be in the class. Likewise, a student boldly raised his hand, and Mr. Rodney was attracted to it.
“Yes? Do you want to ask a question?” He asked.
"Yes. I have a question, Mr. Rodney," the boy answered.
"Go on. Let's hear your question," he gave him the go-ahead to speak.
Now, the class focused on the boy and waited for his question.
Innocently, he asked, “If I may ask, Mr. Rodney, what is the definition of truancy?”
In the same vein, the class focused on Mr. Rodney for his response. Now, he had gotten the joke, just like the other students.
To avoid complicating things, he conceded that he was at fault and said, “Truancy is when Mr. Rodney stays away from class without a good reason. Are you satisfied?”
At that point, the students were laughing loudly at his admittance and definition. Likewise, he laughed. Carmine and Ruby laughed along with them. After the laughter, they had their lectures and he left afterward.
Meanwhile, the pregnant girl, whom he took the pain to see the previous day, was right in the class with him, but he was unaware. Nevertheless, they did the same thing to other lecturers, and the classes ended for the day.
At that point, Johnny and Stanley were off lectures and were walking towards Ruby's and Carmine's hall. They were happy to see them laughing happily when they walked up to them.
“What is new, my Ruby?” Johnny asked after he took her hand.
She narrated the fun they had with their lecturers, and he responded, “I like the boldness of the boy who asked for the meaning of truancy because that was undoubtedly what they exhibited yesterday.”
“You are right. I'm famished. Let's go home at once,” Ruby requested.
“Oh! I think it is the effect of those drugs.”
“You are right.”
Now they were already beside the car, and Stanley and Carmine joined them too. Immediately, they drove off.
“I hope no one embarrassed you, Ruby” Stanley requested.
“Not at all. They have all gone to sleep,” she answered with confidence, and they laughed heartily.
“Where are we going?” Ruby asked when Johnny veered off the road to the house.
“To get food from the mall. You need to eat at once,” he replied and drove on.
Ruby confirmed her belief when she concluded that Johnny was the only person who would give her the kind of life that she needed. After a few minutes, of drive, they were at the mall.
“Let's go. You have been sitting all the while. You require some exercise,” Johnny proposed after he parked in the car park.
“You are right, dear,” Ruby accepted.
Then, he turned and faced Stanley and Carmine, who were sitting quietly in the back seat for their opinion, and they acknowledged his offer.
“You are right. Carmine, let's go,” Stanley said and got out of the car to open the door for her.
Johnny did the same for Ruby and shortly, they were in the mall. Now, Johnny had more battles to fight. To protect, Ruby who was vulnerable, and himself. Nevertheless, Edwina and Isabela were still on suspension, and planning a comeback, either for good or bad.
Furthermore, the four walked into the mall picked up what they needed, and returned home. Now, Ruby was out to take care of Johnny as much as he was out to take care of her.
