Tamed By Her Love Episode 78

"I don't think it's necessary. When they are through, they would give me a call.”
“Through with what, if I may ask? She said they would only pick a few things, and come back immediately,” Johnny reminded him, and got up at once.
Meanwhile, Stanley was concerned, “Where are you going?” He asked.
“To look for them. It is not safe for Ruby to be moving about. She could be attacked, and you know what it means,” Johnny poured out, and walked out of his room.
Now, Stanley was frightened by his revelation, so, he called Carmine instantly.
“Hello, baby,” she greeted him after she picked up the call.
“Can I come and pick you, if you are through with what you are doing in the hostel?”
“You can come over. We are at Ruby's house in the estate,” Carmine explained without considering the weight of their act on him.
At that point, Stanley was distraught. He had not come to terms with the Vice Chancellor arranging for accommodation for Ruby, even if he stood in place of her parents.
“Could it be part of the scholarship?” He thought aloud.
Then he walked to the parlor, and met Johnny, who had picked up his car keys, and was set to leave for the girls' hostel.
“Calm down, guy. We are going together,” he informed him, and returned to his room.
After he washed  up, he picked up his keys, walked back to the parlor, and requested, “Let's go.”
Johnny picked up his jacket and followed him without a word. When they got out of the house, he headed towards his car, but Stanley called his attention, “Guy, I'm driving.”
“It is all right,” he accepted, and walked towards Stanley's car.
When they got in, Stanley gave him an inquiring look, and smiled. Then, he turned on his ignition, and looked at him again. Likewise, he wondered how he would react if learned that Ruby was not in the female hostel, but at the house arranged by the Vice Chancellor. Nevertheless, he drove off. To Johnny's surprise, he veered away from the road to the gate, and headed into the estate.
“Where are we going?” He asked at once.
Stanley chose to restrain him from getting worked up by intimidating him at once.
“Don't you wish to see your Ruby again?”
“I do, but why are you not going to the hostel?”
“They have left the hostel,” he responded curtly. Now, Johnny got the meaning of such a response. Stanley was tired of his too many questions, and he cautioned himself. They drove on in silence until he parked in front of Ruby's new house. To aggravate Johnny the more, Prof. Farrell's car was parked in front of the house, and its engine was on.
At Ruby's Apartment
Before one hour after the Vice Chancellor left, the interior designers had furnished the house, and left. Then, the janitors assisted Ruby and Carmine to do the finishing. After Stanley parked, they saw one of the janitors walking out of the house with some trash, which included empty packs of household wares. At that moment, the two were lost of the right step to take.
“Hello, my friend,” Stanley called out when the janitor got close to his car.
The janitor recognized him, and greeted him happily, “Good evening, Sirs.”
“Good evening. What are you doing here again?” Stanley demanded, just to get a clue to what was going on.
Impeccably, the janitor divulged, “The Vice Chancellor's daughter has moved into the house.”
"I see. For how long has the Vice Chancellor been here?”
The janitor looked at the VC's car before he faced them, and said, “He just came.”
The janitor hardly completed his statement, when Johnny opened his door, and attempted to get out of the car.
Then, Stanley dismissed the Janitor at once, “Thank you. You can leave.”
The janitor walked away, and, he faced Johnny, and advised, “Where are you going? You may not get the truth about the whole situation if you are confrontational.”
At that point, Johnny shut the door and looked at the VC's car. He rested his head on the headrest in dejection, and asked, “What is he still doing there?”
“I am wondering too.”
“If the accommodation is part of her scholarship, does that give him the right to visit her at night?”
Now, Johnny was drawing his conclusions. It was just 6 PM, and he had described it as night. Without waiting for an answer, he opened the door quickly, and got out.
“Guy,” Stanley called out, but Johnny was already on the verandah of the house. He knocked, and pushed the door open at once, and walked in.
“Johnny,” Ruby called out from the kitchen. Then, Carmine, who was with her, looked up from the burner that they were testing, and smiled.
“Welcome, Johnny,” she greeted him.
Now, Prof. Farrell, who was seated on the couch in the parlor, and was comparing the items in the house with the list on the supplied invoice, looked up, and Johnny greeted him coldly, “Good evening, Prof. Farrell.”
“Good evening, Young Man. How are you?”
“I'm fine,” he snorted, and faced the two girls.
Nevertheless, the VC felt that it was time to leave and allow the girls to be free with their friends.
Then, he stood up, and inquired, “Ruby and Carmine, I hope you are okay with the house?”
“Yes, Prof. We appreciated it,” the girls responded happily.
“It is okay. Take care.”
“Goodbye Prof.”
Before he moved an inch, Stanley, who locked his car and followed Johnny immediately, opened the door and walked in. He overheard the girls say 'goodbye'.
Then he greeted the Vice Chancellor, and he responded hastily, and walked out of the door. After he shut the door, Ruby tried to cheer Johnny up.
Then, she moved closer to him, and asked, “Do you like the furnishings?”
To avoid spoiling her joy, he smiled coldly, and said, “Yes.”
Then, he pulled her closer, gave her a peck, and inquired, “How are you?”
Ruby understood him very well, and could read his mood. She was aware that the peck and question were mechanical. However, instead of responding, she looked into his eyes, and asked, “When did you wake up from sleep?”
“A few minutes ago.”
“You really had a good rest,” she pointed out.
Meanwhile, Stanley had taken his seat on the couch.
Soon, the two janitors, who were working in the room, walked out, and announced, “We are through, Ma'am.”
They were surprised to discover that the Vice Chancellor had gone, and Johnny and Stanley had replaced him.
All the same, they greeted them, “Good evening, Sirs.”
“Good evening,” they responded without interest.
“See you, later,” Ruby responded.
