"Suffering is like anything else. Live with it long enough, you learn to like the taste." - Leigh Bardugo ____________________________________ Arche was walking quietly when he suddenly stopped walking due to the ringing of his phone from his pocket. He immediately took it from his pocket and when he saw who was calling, he was very happy, so he immediately answered it with a smile on his lips. "My Haru! Thank God you called me. Do you know that I've been waiting for your call for three weeks? How are you? When are you going home? I miss you, my love. Do you want me to go there to your province? I'm going here. I asked Nicole how to get there." This was the question of Arche and the pleasure could be seen on his face. While not far from where he was, Haru stared at Arche and tried not to cry. "Haru? Are you still there? How are you? Are you okay?" "A-Arche I miss you, d-don't go here because I going home soon." Those were the only words Haru uttered as he watched Arche in the distance, and Arche was still happy because he had already talked to Haru. "I miss you too, love. Have you eaten yet?" "Yes, don't be sad, okay? I'll be home soon. Don't worry about me. I'll call you again later. Bye Arche, mom Emma is calling me right now. She needs help." Haru didn't wait for Arche to speak; she immediately ended the call. The tears she was holding back were falling profusely. She glanced at Arche once, and she saw Arche with a big smile still on his lips then she quickly returned to her room. Haru kept crying in the room where she was staying. It hurts her to think that she will leave the person she loves in such a situation where Arche knows nothing of the pain she feels. For her, she was happy to see Arche in the distance was smiling happily. I'm sorry Arche, I don't want to hurt you because I love you. I'd rather choose to feel the pain I'm feeling now because I don't want to see you crying or sad. She said in her mind and then took her phone to message someone. On the other hand, everyone was happy to chat, especially Arche, who happily informed them that he had already talked to Haru, and he also told them that Haru would be home soon. Their chatting was stopped because all of us suddenly received a text message from an unknown number. "If I die, please be happy. I don't want to see anyone cry or be sad. And I want everyone to smile at my funeral or at my grave. I don't want anyone to cry, I want to see all of you smiling in front of my coffin." What Casey read in the text was that they had received all of them. Were staring at each other because what they received was the same message as what Casey read. They all had astonishment on their faces because they didn’t know who was texting this message. While Jasper and Nicole looked at each other because they knew who that text was from. "Maybe someone is joking with one of us. Whoever this person is, it is not a good joke," Nikki said, then stood up to leave in front of them, and also Nicole stood up and left. She tried to call Haru, but Haru didn't pick up her phone to answer Nicole's call. The night passed, the hospice was quiet in the hallway. Almost everyone was resting. It's already 2 o'clock am. Haru was quietly watching the sky. She only gets out of her room every night so that Arche couldn't see her. She just silently watched the stars shining in the sky as if something was waiting to fall. "I'm right, you're the one I always see here every night. That's why I don't see you with Arche anymore because you're hiding something from them or from him." Haru looked at the person who spoke, and she saw a man sitting nearby her, she immediately recognized the person it is Dante. "I found out that you have cancer because I heard of the conversation between Doc Kian and his mother while they were arguing about your illness to telling the truth to Arche." Haru came over to Dante and sat down on the chair next to him. "I know you have a reason why you hide your diseases because I was like you before. Did you know that Arche was very happy to come into my room and he told me that he had already talk you." Haru was quietly listening to Dante. "I can see the joy in his eyes as he talks about you. Haru, you can't hide your illness for a long time because any time he will know and he will also know the truth. Why don't you try to tell him? I'm sure he will understand you." "I'm afraid of what might happen Mr. Dante. I don't want to see him cry or be sad. I'd rather want to disappear without knowing him about my illness until he forgets me." "Haru, do you think that's the way it is? Arche loves you so much that he can't forget you right away. Tell him everything about your situation, about your disease before it's too late." Dante's last words and then he left Haru alone. Haru doesn't want to hurt anyone around her, especially the one she loves. She wants to own everything she feels the pain and be forgotten by the people around her as if they didn’t recognize her. Haru closes her eyes tightly and she doesn't even know what is best to do for everyone. "It's hard to think if you're going to nurture your feelings alone. I'm here to listen to you." Haru suddenly open her eyes and she saw Doc Kian standing in front of her. Kian sat down next to her and spoke. "I see my little sister to you. Like you, she is like that when she has a big problem, and if she thinks about the problem, she closes her eyes tightly. Sometimes she looks at the sky as if asking for help here. She kept her problems to herself, even though she was a very young girl." Doc Kian laughed at the last word he said and then continued speaking. "She looks older than me, but it hurts so much for me that she died because of my father's friend. My mom and I took the two-person very important to us." Haru glanced at Kian, and there she saw in his eyes the sadness because he missed his sister and father. "So my mom and I were sad when my dad and my younger sister die. I want to brag to dad that I'm a doctor now but he died. I know my sister will be proud of me because she wants to be a doctor." Haru listened to Kian until she saw in her mind a vague image, but she ignored it. "Back then, I don't really want to be a doctor but because of my sister, I love this job now, I fulfilled my sister's dream that she would never be able to do it. I remember what she said before: she wanted to be a doctor because she wanted to cure our dad and she wanted to help people who had an illness but we don't think that she disappeared early and her dream was not fulfilled, so being my doctor, my sister is my inspiration." Kian simply wiped his tears dripping from his eyes and then stood up. "Come and I'll take you to your room," Kian said and helped Haru to stand up. Haru walked quietly and watched Kian's face as if examining it.
