*Claire’s Point of View* --- I am still shocked that she actually came to our house to return my jacket and my phone. And I really thought that I lost it last night. Well, thinking about the kiss last night, that was really great, like damn, I couldn't believe that it actually happened. And every time I think about it, I could feel some whirls in my stomach. I don't know what it is, but it is something amazing, really amazing. I just finished rehearsing some of the songs that I will perform at Mom's resto with Shay. And talking about Shay, where on Earth is she now? I thought she would be here early, but it's almost noon already. Well, my mom waited for me last night, and I told her everything that happened, like, everything. She was thrilled, and at the same time, so worried. And now, my mom and Sammy are actually talking about me like I am not here at all, like, hello, I am really out of their topics about me. Hmph, these ladies are surely having a great time together. Then I heard a car just stopped by our house, and I'm really sure that it's Shay. "Oh, finally, thank goodness! I thought it would take you forever to get here, Shay. Why are you so late? You have not caught the breakfast and snacks." I told her as she stood near the table while she eyed the last bite of the cake on my plate. I know she really loves my mom's cooking. That is why she always gets here early. And I wonder what happened to her and why she's late. Then she went near me and took my last piece of cake using her bare hand and shoved it in her mouth, then licked her fingers. "That's so gross, Shay. You could've just used my fork," I let out, and she just shrugged. See? I still can't believe that we are actually cousins. And she seemed to remember something. Then she smacked the back of my head. F*ck! Was it the one that she used earlier? "What was that for?" I yelled because it is freaking hurts. "That's for checking if you're still alive. What was that I heard that you got into a fight with drug addicts last night? Well, thank goodness you're safe and sound. Why didn't you tell me or even call me, huh? I was so worried about you, and you're with Sam, how is she? Why'd you..." She ranted like my dead grandmother and stopped when she noticed that I cleared my throat. "What? Well, anyway, where's your mom?" She finally asked, and I just stared at them while mom and Sammy were staring back at us. They're actually at the sink. Mom's washing the dishes, and Sammy's helping her. When Shay looked at where I was looking, she looked back at me dashingly and tapped my head. "Oh, you got a visitor." She uttered and went near them. She greeted my mom and kissed her cheek. And as she got closer to Sammy, she reached out for a handshake and introduced herself. Then I noticed that the blonde went uncomfortable, and Shay kept on smiling like a hyena. Is there something wrong with these two? After introducing herself, Shay kissed the back of her hand. And I just scoffed. I'm not jealous, alright? Not at all. Well, I know that Shay thinks that there's something that happened between us last night that I brought her home. But for the freak's sake, I didn't. Or is it just me who thinks about it? I don't care. Now, they're also talking like I'm not here. Well, they kept on whispering and laughing. All three of them, like I am not here at all. Alright, enough of their enjoyment without me. I went to the sink and brought my empty plate, glass, and fork because I am going to wash it myself. Then they moved along to the living room. Like, come on, people, they don't want me to listen to their topics. --- After I was done washing my dishes, I went to my room to change my outfit since we should head to the restaurant now. My shift would start at eleven-thirty, and we still have forty-five minutes to get there. I am wearing a red shirt and some jeans. And I let my hair down and wore my contacts. Now, I am ready. I finally went downstairs with my guitar, and all three of them stared at me, especially her. "What? I'm going to my job. And don't tell me, Shay, that you will still change clothes at your house. We would be so damn late." I stated as I went near my mom to give her a goodbye kiss since she just stays at home on Sundays. I looked at Sammy, and as I was about to say something, she cut me off. "I'll be fine with your mom. Really fine." She stated, then Shay high fived with her. What's up with these people? I just gave her a weird look and went near the door, and I'm ready to go. Then I fished my keys from my pocket, and I will use Alice this time. As I noticed that Shay's not following me, I looked back at them and called her, "Hey, Shay! Are you gonna go with me, or you'll stay here?" I just felt somewhat irritated, like who wouldn't be? They keep talking about me and laughing. "Coming! Don't be so hot-headed, Babe, or else you'll get old fast." She uttered as she went near me. "Umm, Red. Take care." Sammy told me and winked. And I am very sure that my face is as red as my hair now. I looked away from her and just waved goodbye. Then Shay nudged me and whispered something, "She likes you too." And she ran fast to her car. Are you kidding me? That's great news. Like, very great. I just noticed a red car in front of our house, and maybe this belongs to the cheerleader. Well, it's a really cool Lambo. Mom, Shay, and Sammy are getting along well with each other. And that's a good thing, I guess. Mhmm. --- Moments passed, and we're still here at Shay's house. It's taking her a millennium to get dressed. Thirty minutes left, and I am going to be late with my shift. And I don't want to break any traffic rules. People are actually waiting for me every Sunday just to watch and listen. They enjoy the songs I sing, and I also sing some requests from the customers.
