Chapter 20 - Diamonds And Castle
*Pryce Winsley's POV*
---
"Hold on to me, Sweetheart," Blair ordered, kneeling on one knee while trying to feel the ground with both her hands. I did what I was told and placed my right hand on her left shoulder, and she closed her eyes.
I know she is trying to get us away from the werewolves that are about to come close to our location. We can't get into more trouble, and we don't know if this large number of supernatural beings are friendly.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the sight of darkness, but using my vampire form, I could see clearly. Then suddenly, there was light coming from my mate's hand that then went floating around while regenerating smaller ones. It's not the flame that she usually uses. It's something bright— something like what Cassie made back at the cemetery.
"Woah! Blair... This place is... It's... Extraordinary." I let out in awe as I roamed my gaze around, and she looked at me with a smile that is brighter than the light she created.
"Yeah! You like it?" She replied and asked while holding out her hands for me to hold. I took them, nodding my head as I am just speechless seeing the view down here. And she leads me to where there is a body of crystal clear water with the surroundings almost covered with different colors of gems, diamonds, and rubies. It's just simply breathtaking.
"It's warm," I uttered when I touched the water, and she cleared her throat and answered like a smartass, "Of course, it's warm because... Because we are in the center of the Earth."
I bit my tongue when I heard her answer as I don't want to let out a laugh. She seems so serious.
"I'm just kidding, Baby-blue. But yeah, we are somewhere deep down and away from the Earth's surface. Magma is probably around us. And I think that is why these precious things were formed because of the intense heat the rocks and other elements down here encountered since the beginning of the existence of this planet. What do you say, Honey-bee?" She explained, and I couldn't agree more or argue.
"Very well said, Blair. Now, what should we do next?" I replied and asked her since I noticed that it is kind of hard to breathe in here.

We have accomplished our mission in getting enough diamonds and putting them in a safe place in our house, which means in the closet and under the bed... That's what my girlfriend suggested that those parts of the house are safe. We just can't sell them right away and open a bank account yet, because... You know... Things. We were dead, remember?
And after we took up lunch and a couple of blood, we agreed to go back to Transylvania for our tour in the castle of the vampires, even if it is midnight there right now. My fearless hybrid mate mentioned that it is even better. Well... talking about a freak.
"Come on, Babe. Just figure out later how to operate that AP to take photos." My girl whined, seeing that I am in bed busy dealing with the android phone in my hold, and she seems done dressing up for our trip to the castle.
"No. I have already figured it out, Blair. Look. This is what Cassie said that there is a front camera and filters. Damn, it's really different from those old keypad phones back then that could also take pictures, yet not that clear, and has no front cameras and filters. Imagine, you could touch the damn screen to do anything with it! You should explore yours, too. Come here for a while, love." I explained while feeling so amazed with the thing in my hold that we bought the other day. It is amazing.
My mate teleported to go near me from the couch, and she looked at the phone with her oh face, then I took a picture of us. Selfie is what they call it.
I showed her the photos I have taken earlier, and she seems impressed with the thing and what it could do.
"Cool! Now, that is something crazy. I'll bring mine, too." She uttered in amazement and went to get her phone at the top drawer of the nightstand.
"Alright, remember, Pumpkin, that we should avoid being seen by any vampires when we get into the castle. We stay in our stealth mode as much as possible. No human mode, alright? Because those fanged creatures there could sense us as a source of food. But we won't worry too much since ordinary vampires can't teleport, only those with royal blood and the ones we turned. Therefore, it will be easy for us to get away from any trouble if we go separate ways. But we shouldn't go on separate tracks. I am not sure what was in the castle, which made me feel strange when I first went there and never wanted to go back. And, now... I think I am going to find out if what it could be if that would occur again." Blair explained and held my left hand as we are ready to go.
"Noted. Don't worry. I will just go home here if ever I'll be in any trouble. Let's go?" I replied, putting my phone in the right pocket of my black leather jacket. Well, all we are wearing are black, and it just seems like we look more vampiric. Gothic. Though I wanted to add some black makeup, I think we would look creepy as heck as if we were going to a Halloween party or scaring some kids.
---
The half-moon at the horizon adds up the magnificence of the scattered clouds and fog all around the tall and vast castle by the hill, which exactly looks like what I imagine a vampires' castle would be. It's exceptionally astonishing.
After taking a couple of pictures of the spectacular view before us and a few selfies, we proceeded to get into the castle.
"Wow, this is strange." Blair let out, and I turned my head to look at her while we walked into an empty hallway with paintings on the wall. I can feel the presence of individuals within the castle, and I recalled what my girl told me that having royal blood, she could sense more than how any ordinary vampire could, and that means I do, too.
"What is it, Blair?" I asked her, worried about what she must have felt, and I am curious about it. I don't know if it's good or not.
"It's strange that... That I can't feel anything strange. I feel just fine." She answered and kept on walking and turned right, and I just shrugged my shoulders in response. Well, I guess that means good, right?
When we teleported to the other side of a wall, we arrived at a place where there were lots of shelves. Bookshelves. It's a library.
"Could you look at this place? It's amazing, Blair." I let out, looking around, and she muttered, "Yeah. It is."
She gestured her hand to make a book float out from a particular shelf, and it went to where we are.
"This is the only book I have read in this library that time I visited here. It's about vampires in connection with humans. There is a chapter here that tells how a vampire could turn a human into... A vampire." She said and opened the book without touching it, and I am guessing that that is what she did to me when she converted me into one.
"Wow! So you mean... Everything here is about vampires?" I asked her, curious about how this could be a great way to learn about me being one of them.
"Yep. Mostly. All the kinds of beings. Supernatural or not. There are books about history, abilities, weaknesses, novels, and a lot more. And... I know that look on your face, Cupcake. You want to read things here, am I right?" She answered and asked something that I cannot lie about.
"Hell, yeah! But maybe some other time, if... Your dad will let us borrow some. Perhaps just a dozen every month?" I replied, excited about the thought of learning things about vampires, and she agreed, "That's great, Baby-blue. I know he would. But if not... Well, he would, whether he would agree or not."
---
After we roamed a little while in the library, my mate led me to the part of the castle where she felt the strangest thing before, long ago.
"It's bizarre why I can't feel it anymore, here in this hall, particularly, strongly. This is where it really comes from. It scared the shit out of me that I immediately went home and decided never to come back." She uttered, and I suddenly saw something unusual, or maybe it's usual to have such a thing in a vampires' residence.
"Is that a coffin, Blair?" I asked her, and she went to look at where I was staring at.
"Yeah, it is. Oooh, what could be the thing inside there? Let's check it out." She answered with a broad smile and went near the thing, and I just looked at her weirdly. Why would she find out what is in there? Of course, if it is not empty, there could be a corpse in there. Jeez, that's creepy.
"It's empty," Blair uttered when she opened it, and I went near her to look at it. Mm, no creepy corpse, I guess.
"Because I am here, Little One."
We heard a voice that made us both turn to look at the newcomer. It's the king.
"Dad! Hi? No. Hi! Whatcha doing here?" Blair greeted the man in surprise, and he just laughed at his daughter's reaction. I was startled, too.
"The question is... What are you, two, doing here? You didn't tell me you are visiting. We could have prepared something for your arrival." The king replied, walking nearer to where we were, and my girl chuckled sheepishly. "No, we are just... Uh, touring? Just... trying to, you know, find things. And... Surprise you. Surprise!"
"Oh, you are so adorable, Claude. But, yeah, I was surprised to see you both in here. I just got here from the Nwitches'. I had lunch with your mom. So... Umm... You found my coffin here, huh? This is where I have put myself in a state of temporary death, which caused you to live for seventeen years, Little One." He let out, giggling, and explained the thing behind us, which made my mate make her cute thinking face.
"Now, that makes sense. You are the strange thing. It's coming from you and our curse. No, never mind that, Dad. But you got a cozy coffin here." The princess muttered in the realization of something and asked me with a teasing smile, "What do you think, Babe? Should we get one for ourselves at home? Well, we should just share one. Sleep inside it. What do you say?"
Her dad just laughed at us when I just told her to do what she wants. Well, that would be weird and spooky to sleep inside a coffin, though.
---
After the king toured us around the whole castle and showed us the splendid room that he would let us use if ever we would like to stay here for some time, we talked about things while we were having dinner, yet that means breakfast here in Transylvania.
"It's so wonderful, isn't it, Babe?" Blair asked me while we both stared at the sunrise as we were on the balcony of our room. It's indeed impressive.
"Yeah, it is beautiful. It's just a little bit sad to know that not all vampires could witness this kind of view here." I replied, looking at her face, and she smiled a small one. They told me that not all of our kind are Daywalkers that could resist sunlight. And most of them only get out of their havens when it is nighttime.
"Mhmm. Yep. That's why vampires are called night creatures, Nightcrawlers, and other night names. And because right now..." She answered, slowly wrapping her arms around my waist and pulling me closer to her, and she went to whisper in my right ear, "it is nighttime in our house... we better go home. We are Daywalkers, and we should head to bed now."
Well, I can feel what she feels right at this moment— horny.
"Nope. Not time for that yet, Love. You promised your father that you are going to visit your mom in the palace. We better head there first, then we get into it. Alright?" I refused to go home as I just remembered what we had agreed on earlier with the king. And it just made my mate groan in dismay.
I turned around to look at her and saw that she was wearing a puppy dog face.
Oh, no, that won't work on me.
I just raised my left eyebrow while staring at her intently and trying to make her surrender.
"Fine. Now, we better go so we can finally sleep. I have a thing with this jet lag that makes me want to stay in bed for the next seventy-two hours with you." She agreed, and I just pinched her right cheeks. She is just so charming.
I pulled her in for a quick kiss, but she pulled me tighter to make it deeper. Okay, I will not make this moment go beyond kissing, especially now that we have a room here that is quite great for lovemaking. It's soundproof, by the way.
After a couple of minutes of our make-out session, we finally went to teleport to the Northern Witches' dimension and into their palace.
"Prycie, Blairie! Hi! You are finally here! We have been waiting for you at your house, but you both aren't there. And I guess you went to your daddy." My best friend greeted us when we arrived at the hall where she was with Queen Claudia, and the queen of the werewolves had been waiting for us.
"Hello, everyone! What is the unannounced meeting all about?" Blair let out and asked the women in here. Just then, the king of the vampires appeared and went to sit beside his wife on the couch.
"We have something important to tell you both." Alison began, and I gulped as I felt that it would be about me, primarily. And it makes me feel all nervous.
