Chapter 1 The Blank Canvas : Part 1

He releases a heavy breath by his mouth. The bouquet of red roses was falling from his grip to the ground. He raised his head looking to the clear blue sky. The white cotton cloud obstructed the evening sunlight from dazzling his eyes. The birds were chirping lovely at the trees nearby him.
Some people took the chance to spend their time with families, strolling, and having fun at the park.
Everyone was on cloud nine, except him.
He lowered his head looking down to the ground. As he glanced at the ground, he saw the bouquet. The anger suddenly running to his head. He then kicks away the bouquet from his seats. He rubbing his face with both of his hands, calming himself down.
The bouquet stop in front of a pair of black sneakers. The owner stops suddenly as she realized the bouquet.
"Who the hell in this world would throw a beautiful bouquet like this?" She wondered before picking the bouquet up. She then noticed a boy around her age sitting on her favorite bench while covered his face with both of his hands.
"Ummm... I'm sorry, but is this yours?" He put down his hand, turning his head to his right. A girl wearing a purple plain polo shirt with a pair of black leggings standing in front of him. A big smile appear on her fair face as he raise his head looking at her. She lend him the roses bouquet which was wrapped nicely in black and pink glitter paper.
"Just throw it away. I don't want it." He turned his sight from seeing the bouquet. The red came back coloured his face. It's not like he hates the bouquet which he bought with his own money but it's because of what just happened a solid hour ago.
"If that so..." She stands straight back. "Can I keep this ?"
He ignoring her question.
"I'll assume that as 'yes'." He looking at her as she took a seat next to him.
"Excuse me, didn't you see I'm sitting here now?"
"Pardon me, but you're also sitting on my favorite bench," she took out her drawing canvas and put it in front of her. Next to it was a stool with a cup filled with paintbrushes and a colour palette. She put also a box of poster colours on it.
"Are you an artist?" He asked her
"I will," she replied. " If I win the contest next month."
She put one of her brush into a cup of clear water. She took it out and move it towards the colours. She stopped. The brush wandering on each colours in the pallet, before landing on her lap. "Only if I have any ideas to make one..."
What the hell with this girl? He thought in his mind. But he doesn't care about her, his mind still rewinding the moment of him with his girlfriend.
"So... What is the problem?" She asked suddenly to him.
His hand rubbing his brown hair before his hazel eyes glanced towards her, "Do you want to know?" He replied to her with a question.
"If you want to share .." she answered. The clean brush in her hand moving on the canvas like she was painting. "Since I still haven't got any ideas for my painting.."
He sighed. "It just my girlfriend..."

Around an hour ago: 
"Why you're too late?" A girl wearing a sky blue dress asked him with anger on her face.
"I'm sorry dear," he takes his seat on the wooden chair in front of her. " The traffic was jammed as there was an accident on my way coming here."
"It just your excuses!" She crossed her arm on her body and turn her sight from seeing him.
"No, I'm not giving any excuses to you..." She still staring outside the cafe window, looking at pedestrians walking on the path in front of the building. He took out something from his back.
"However, I have something for you," He give her the bouquet of roses. She looks with the empty sight before took it from his hand. 
She threw it onto the floor. 
"Why the wrapper must be in black? You know about how much I despise that colour right?"
He was hesitant. His mouth locked, he doesn't know what to say. She gets her butt off from the chair, leaving him alone at the table.
"You don't know me well enough, I guess.."
______
"What's wrong with that woman?" She asked.
" I thought you would be on her side..."
"Why would I?" She crossed her legs "I hate a person like her. She just thinks about herself, she didn't even care about how much time and money that you spent to buy this pretty bouquet though" 
He glanced at the roses in her hand. A heavy sigh came out from his mouth as he looking back to the ground that covered by green grasses. "But it also my fault..."
"Kinda..." 
He tilted his head. "I thought you were on my side"
"I'm not on her side but I'm not either on your side." She replied. "Both of you pissed me off,"
He gives a deluded sight. " You said you want to hear me"
"I was and I did. It's because I want to know about why you're sitting here, showing your frustrations, leaving such a gloomy aura at my favorite spot,"
"Tch!" He gets up from the bench and leaves her alone at the wooden bench under the oak tree. 
"Hey wait!" He keeps on his pace, ignoring her. " If you still want me to hear you, just come here again tomorrow. I'll be here every day at the same time!"
He getting far away from her. "I guess he hears that..."
