The guy in the suit glanced around the bus, but no one, not even myself, seemed interested in answering his inquiry. Then there's Tara, who raises her hands as she stands up to confront the guy. "How come you're searching for her while I'm already here?" Tara was going to place her hand on the guy's chest when the man suddenly took her hand and held it strongly in his own. "Hey, I'm the one you're looking for, I am... Gemma?" "I couldn't care less about you; I just want to know who Gemma is." The guy said solemnly. Mishelley rises to her feet. "That's what you get for stealing someone else's identity. Tara isn't Gemma, and she will never be Gemma." She's trying to do something. I know what she wants to do. I yanked her shirt off to deter her since I was certain she'd point at me. "Mishelley, don't you dare point at me," I said in hushed tones. "Don't ever point a finger in my direction. I'm warning you." The guy let go of Tara's hand and began to move toward where we were. "Tell me, young lady, and I'll spare the life of the girl." "Well, I couldn't give a crap about her either, so you can do anything you want to her," Mishelley said, pointing to Tara. "Stop beating around the bush and tell me who Gemma is." "All right, okay." I lowered my gaze because I knew Mishelley was going to point me out. "She's right here, right alongside me," Mishelley pointed at me. "MISHELLEY!" When I rise to my feet, a guy comes up behind me and pulls me out of the bus. "Make sure that you are not going to hurt her because if you do, I will surely track you down!" Mishelley screamed as the guy continued to take me away from the bus. "Traitor! Mishe, don't ever show your face to me again!" I yelled out in frustration. "I'll see you around!" Mishelley waved her hand in the air. I pushed against the man's grasp, but he just tightened his hold on me. "Get off of me; what do you want from me? You are neither a member of the king's family nor a servant of the monarch." "Please stop resisting; I was only carrying out a command." "Did the king order you to do this?" "No." "No?" I repeated myself. "If not, who is it that has asked you to kidnap me?" "You're exaggerating. I'm not kidnapping you." He said, chuckling. "I'll let you know who asked me to do this." He released his grip on my hand as we approached the black vehicle. He dragged me inside the vehicle and slammed it shut. "Lunatic!" I let out a yell. After I uttered that, a familiar chuckle could be heard inside the vehicle, and when I turned around, I noticed the man from the royal ball resting against the rear seat. Wait, what? He was the musician who performed a stunning piece during the royal ball. He's the nephew of Queen Elbereth. Is he the one who asked the man to abduct me, then? But, this man is supposed to be in Norway; thus, how come he's still in the Philippines? "If only you could see your face right now, you seem completely surprised." The man said as he moved closer to me. "Hello there, Gemma! It's been a long time since we've seen each other," He let out a sigh. "At long last, we've met; I'm delighted to see you." "Pardon me, but who precisely are you?" He scoffed. "Just as I predicted, I know you won't remember me since it's been a decade since we last saw each other." Suddenly, he drew his face closer to mine. "Hi, I'm Marcos!" He introduced himself and then placed his hand on my head while smiling. "Marcos?" I murmured. I was so thrilled that I embraced him, which caused him to hit his head on the window. "Ow." Marcos moaned, chuckling in his voice. "I- I'm sorry," I touched the part of his head where he had banged. "I was a little too happy and didn't notice the window. Does it hurt?" "It's all right," Marcos said as he took my hand in his. "I was a little scared that you wouldn't recognize me when I came in. I'm feeling better now." "Marcos..." I found myself clinging to him once again. "I came back to see you, but your babysitter started telling me that you would be going to another country. I was devastated that you hadn't said goodbye to me or sent me a postcard. I was under the impression that you weren't going to show up again." I felt his finger running over my hair. "My mom will not allow me to say farewell to you, despite my strong desire to do so. My bad, Gemma. I'm sorry that I kept you waiting for so long. Nevertheless, now that I'm here, you won't have to wait another year to see me again." While he was caressing my hair, I had a flashback to his new name and the fact that he was the Queen's nephew. I let go of the hold I had on him. "How come your name is different from when I met you? Leif Chasen?" "After we flew to another country, my mom decided to alter my name to Leif Chasen. I was against it, but I had no other choice. That's the only way for my dad to stop hunting us." Marcos paused. "And, as for me being the Queen's nephew, I apologize for not informing you sooner. My mother and the Queen are related by blood. After my mother passed away, I was taken by Queen Elbereth." "Y- your mom p- passed away?" I repeated. "That saddens me. You must have felt a lot of anguish when your mother passed away; I'm sure you were alone throughout your grieving." 'It's been two years since my mother passed away, and I'm alright. I've moved on from the sadness, but I still can't forget her.'" I raised my eyes to meet his and, thereafter, offered him a warm grin. "With me by your side, Chasen, you are no longer alone." I grinned. After that, Marcos flicked off my brow. "I would prefer that you address me as Marcos."
