AVIALANCHÉ: The Proposal

Vishnu was fast asleep so Jerson decided to go to the address that Harvey sent. It wasn’t far away from his residence.
Thinking about it, Jerson knew he trusted the Avialanché too much. He didn't know them until yesterday yet he was doing everything they were telling him to do. It was a foolish move yet he couldn’t just set them aside. He needs them for his plan.
Jerson drove his car to his destination. The traffic wasn’t that bad and the road was peaceful. This kind of serenity was suspicious. Just a few days ago, the police authority almost rummage the whole city to find the suspect for the mass murder that happened in a café using the Vuintor Poison. Jerson knew that it was their fight with the Empresarium. Though it was just a form of self-defense, if the evidence would be based on casualty, the people of the Empresarium suffered the most while they didn’t even gain a single scratch from it. The people of Empresarium suffered a great loss. The police authority would make it seem like it was an assassination.
Jerson heard his phone ring again. He put on an earpiece before answering the call.
“Where are you now?” Harvey asked.
Jerson took a deep breath before answering. “I am on my way there.”
“Okay. We’ll wait. Just be faster okay? And oh… be careful,” Harvey replied.
Jerson nodded even though he knew Harvey wouldn’t see it. This will be the last time he’ll heed Harvey's demand.
After a few minutes, Jerson arrived at the place. The penthouse was extravagantly big and glamorous. He sighed before driving towards the parking lot. Jerson couldn’t tell if the walls were painted blue or if the lamps exude blue lights that the whole penthouse was azureous in color. The place was captivating.
As Jerson gets out of his car, Harvey comes to him and looks at his car with admiration. The car was a Bugatti La Voiture Noire whose price was just Harvey’s salary for the whole year.
“I didn’t know you’re this loaded, man,” Harvey whispered.
Jerson pressed his lip. The car was given by his grandfather, hence, it is not him who’s loaded but his grandfather. “I just borrowed it.”
Harvey rolled his eyes. “We should go. The boss is waiting.”
“You won’t kill me, will you?” Jerson asked.
Harvey laughed. “As I said, we’re not your enemies. Heeding to your capacities and your wealth, I know that you aren't just an ordinary person. I wouldn’t risk everything just to kill you,” he replied.
Jerson sighed. He followed Harvey all the way.
Outside the penthouse was a pool. The penthouse was a three-story building and most walls consisted of clear transparent glasses. On the rooftop was an organized green garden.
Jerson brushed his hair as they entered the living room. There were lots of unfamiliar and new faces that were sitting all over the place. He put on an indifferent expression. “I thought it would only be you and your boss. Why is it so crowded?” he asked Harvey.
“They wanted to see your face,” Harvey replied.
Jerson furrowed his brows. “Why?” he asked.
“You saved my life. We’re brothers here. Although we don’t give much value to our own life, we value the life of our brothers,” Harvey retorted.
“I saved you because the situation called for it. I didn’t mean to save you that time, Harvey,” Jerson stated.
Harvey laughed. “You have an eccentric personality, really.” He brushed his hair and dragged Jerson to the front where a tall man was sitting while facing all the crowds. He was silently looking at Harvey. “Boss, this is the guy who gave us the copy and the guy who saved me.”
Jerson looked at the man.
The man’s black hair was covering half of his face. He also had gloves covering his hands. He was looking at Jerson like how predators were looking at their prey.
Jerson looked at the man with the same intensity which made the man crack up. “You really are something, Mr. Luiselli,” the man said. “Anyway, I would like to thank you for giving us the copy and for saving our little dwarf.”
Harvey furrowed his brows. “Little dwarf? The fuck?”
Jerson rolled his eyes. “Saving him wasn't intentional, but okay. I can’t argue with that as I literally saved his butt there,” he said nonchalantly.
“You know what? I don’t like you,” the man commented.
“Same feelings,” Jerson replied.
Harvey massaged his temple. He could only guess that the two of them would never get along based on how they behaved. He sighed as he glared at the man. “Kier, I believe you have something to say to our guest.”
Kier tilted his head and smirked. “Right! I almost forgot after looking at this guy’s smug face.”
Jerson didn’t react and just let it go. He wished to have a peaceful discussion with Kier.
“I wouldn’t want you to join our organization, but I have to repay you for your help and good deed,” Kier said. “Tell me your conditions and as long as we can, we’ll give it to you.”
“I don't need anything though,” Kerson answered.
Kier crackled. “Just say what you want. Don’t be shy,” he said seriously.
Jerson gets goosebumps of how cringe it sounded to him. He sighed and crossed his arms. “But I have a proposal,” he said.
Kier tilted his head. “A proposal you say? Tell me about it.”
Jerson sighed. “I need you to be my aid when the right time comes,” he said. “Not too long from now, everything will go north and south, chaos will occur, and everything will be out of hands. Before that happens, I need you to aid me. I need you to process my fake death and erase Jerson Luiselli’s track record.”
Kier's disinterested face finally shows a hint of involvement in Jerson’s proposal. “This is a proposal you said. What will we gain if we do this in your honor?”
Jerson smiled. He took out his ID and gave it to Kier. “Soviet Kierson Ferrer, the heir of Ferrer's powerful household, will be your ally.”
