“That is you, Soviet Kierson Ferrer, the current owner of Clientes Esclavos.” Jerson slammed both of his hands against the table. “What the hell are you talking about?!” he angrily said as he seethed his teeth. “The past owner of the Clientes Esclavos before you, was your grandmother, my wife, Navarre Emerson Ferrer,” the old Ferrer confessed. Jerson was dumbfounded while Harold Ferrer, his grandfather, continued talking. “Your grandmother was part of the mafia.” Harold declared. “Navarre, my wife, is a good person and a good Madam of our family. She’s my light, my savior, my remedy. My wife is a good person but her family wasn’t. Her brother, Wayne, murdered her.” Harold clenched his jaw. “The Oliveira brothers and Wayne Emerson became colleagues soon after their parents and your parents died. After I managed to kill that bastard Wayne, the Oliveira brothers took over that clan. Wayne’s son, Derrick Emerson, became your butler. And that's where all your misfortune happened.” Jerson felt like his head was going to explode after hearing everything. “Noah de Oliveira suspects that you are my grandson, hence he tried to harm you, thinking I would do something to oppose it. The attempted murder that harmed Derrick was Noah’s scheme. His plan failed and his partner’s son died, and you, as the target, would be the one to blame.” Jerson couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He trusted Noah. Noah treated him like he was his brother. Noah might be angry right now, but he knows that Noah wouldn’t do anything ridiculous such as this, but he also knows that there's no reason for his grandfather to lie. “Noah made you the bad guy. Vishnu de Oliveira believed his older brother’s wisdom, and the same goes for your friends,” Harold added. “Now, Noah, Breather in the underworld, was planning to kill us.” Harold pinched his snout and licked his lips. “Breather targets people that hold so much weakness. You as the heir became the target as you showed him too many frailties. Indeed, a perfect target.” Jerson shook his head. “He did nothing!” Harold slammed the table. “He did everything, Soviet!” he shouted. “Why do you think all your friends didn’t trust you?! Why was it so easy for them to toss you away?!” Jerson couldn’t think of an answer as he, too, was confused why it was easy for them to just toss him away after everything he have done. “That's because Breather, that bastard did everything without you knowing. Take credit for your hard work, and gain everyone's trust. Everything he did was just a cover-up to make you trust him." Harold sighed. “To make you closer to him after you disappeared, he planned out an attempted murder and planned to save you from it. That would make him the good guy, and you’ll eventually trust him. He never thought that you’ll suffer from selective amnesia. Yet, even though his plan failed, he had you in his hands. That made us dubious to destroy him. He has Ferrer's weakness.” Jerson clenched his jaw. “I-I don't understand. If he held me as a hostage, why would he let go of me now?" Red who was silent finally interrupted. “That’s because you’re no more than useless shit for him. He has the ledger now,” he explained. He gave a file to Jerson. As Jerson skimmed the file, Red continued explaining. “I am sure Derrick said something about it before giving you the ledger. That kid was being controlled by the Vanovick family. Derrick probably thought that Noah de Oliveira was a comrade,” he stated. Jerson shook his head. “You knew? And you didn’t tell me?” Red sighed. “I only know it for days. The Master wants to say it to you personally.” He massaged his head. “Your grandmother was also the one who abducted Alec’s sister. Vishnu triggered the assassination of your parents. It could be said that none of those people will trust you as you could not trust them. And Vishnu tried to kill you as per the command of his brother. Your friendship with them was all fabricated and planned.” Jerson truly was ignorant about everything. He thought that Noah was true to him. His friendship with them was genuine. Who would have thought that they tried to harm him more than once? Who would have guessed that Vishnu, the love of his life, tried to kill him? He loathed criminals but the person he loved and his family had crimes? Jerson clenched his fist. He couldn't accept it. No matter how he tries to understand everything, it just doesn’t make any sense. What did he do for Noah to use him to this extent? He didn’t do anything wrong for him to suffer and get betrayed like this. They treated him like a tool while he was thinking of risking his life for them. He was used and when they thought he was worthless, they neglected him. Jerson angrily gritted his teeth. He wanted to ask Noah, Vishnu, Alec, and Van if what his grandfather confessed was true. If that was the truth, what would he do? If he found out that he really was just a tool, what would he do? Those people who he trusted most betrayed him, what could he possibly do? Jerson laughed. He thought that it was all but what Red said broke him apart. “Vishnu de Oliveira already gained his memory after Derrick showed up. I know you have feelings for him so I'm telling you this. They are living together now with Noah de Oliveira's blessing.” Jerson couldn’t take it anymore. He slammed the table with his full strength making it break causing a wound on his arm. He was bleeding. “Young Mas—” “One step forward and I’ll kill you,” Jerson angrily said. He walked out of the mansion and drove the limousine back to the main gate where his cruiser was parked. He had to ask Vishnu about it. He had to ask for confirmation. He knows and he felt it too. Vishnu loves him. Those tender touches, soft kisses, and the way Vishnu took care of him. Those gestures couldn’t be fake. Vishnu loves him dearly. With so much thought in his mind, Jerson couldn't think rationally. His mind was clouded with ‘whys’ he could not answer. He was angry. He was hurt. He was betrayed. It was a total roller coaster of emotions. He bit his lips so hard, wishing that all of those were lies. Wishing all of this to turn out to be a bad dream. When Jerson saw the sea near the Ferrer’s estate, he stopped at the shore and sat there silently. And as if heaven could understand his heart, it rains. Along with the raindrops dripping on his face, his tears fell like a cascade. His heart oozed with pain. At the shore, while raining, he cried his heart out.
