“Aini, dinner!” cried Hendramo, who had just returned. He pounded on Aini's door. However, the child did not come out. The wrinkles on Hendramo's forehead increased; he tried to open the door to his son's room only to find it locked. Hendramo struggled again to knock on the door until finally Aini woke up. 
"Yes?" he answered in a hoarse voice. Hendramo, who saw that Aini had woken up, looked annoyed. "Sorry, I overslept."
Hendramo didn't say anything and immediately went to the dining table. "Quickly come to the dining table; food is ready."
Aini immediately nodded her head; it didn't matter if Hendramo didn't see her. She immediately ran to follow Hendramo, who took big steps because of a confused feeling. Aini could only bite her lower lip with her heart beating very fast. Many questions swirled in his head until he felt confused about where to start. However, the most troubling question is the reason why. 
Why did his father want them to eat together? 
When Aini arrived at the dining table, her eyes looked so round. On the dining table there is a lot of food, which is definitely not homemade, and various menus that look expensive. Niar, who was opening the package, looked up when he saw Hendramo, who had arrived. His gaze immediately shifted to Aini. 
Very clearly, his expression turned to one of exasperation, but he only gave a light chuckle before rolling his eyes. Her expression turned sweet again when she faced her two children and even gave them the food that was in the package, dividing it evenly. Seeing that, Aini didn't even feel scared. His gaze immediately fell on a packet that was on the table; he didn't even touch it at all. 
“Hurry and eat." "The wrap is yours,” said Niar curtly. 
"Mine …?"  Aini walked slowly to the table and found the package had her name on it; it was clear that this was not something specially bought by her family, who were now in front of her. 
"From Leo."
Hendramo took part in their discussions, sat quietly, and waited for Niar to feed him like his two children. Aini tilted her head in confusion. Why did they meet Leo? What made Leo suddenly come to bring food, though I had never met him? Before Aini could ask, Hendramo had already started eating, which indicated that he didn't want to talk anymore. 
With hesitation, Aini finally pulled a chair to sit far from the others. Aini knows that no one wants to be close to her. When he opened his food, his eyes widened wide open, amazed at what was there. Right at that moment, Aini got a message from Leo. His frown deepened after seeing what was there. I think Leo really has gone mad. 
“H-he…?”  Leo's message said that he would come soon tomorrow to surprise Aini. He could only shake his head before finally eating heartily. Even though he didn't like Leo, the food he ordered clearly tasted delicious. 
As Leo said, he came so early that Aini had just finished getting ready to go to work. As soon as he opened the door, Leo was already in front of his car door, his arms folded, and he gave a grin that was hard to describe. Obviously, this made Aini take a deep breath. Seriously, couldn't she have a quiet day without Leo around? 
"Breakfast together?" asked Leo, who opened the car door. Aini stared inward, trying to reject the offer. However, he only let out a long sigh and finally nodded and entered. As soon as he was seated, Leo closed the door gently and dashed towards the driver's seat. “Was last night's meal good?" You didn't reply to my messages at all. 
"Yes... delicious," replied Aini, sounding a little cold. He even stared outside and refused to listen to Leo, who had already spoken. "Why... didn't you come last night?" asked Aini finally. This made Leo silent for a few moments; luckily, they were at a red light. He blinked a few times and faced Aini, trying to understand what she was saying. 
"Overnight?  Ah, about the food? I know if I come and give it directly, you will surely reject it. Therefore, I asked your father for help. Even though I miss you and want to see your face, I have to hold back, right? all because you are not happy with me. "At least that way you won't see me as often."
"Then this morning, why do you have to come and deliver to the office?" This time Leo gaped, looking at Aini like he was someone who wasn't very smart. 
"If asked why, of course, because of that." Hearing Leo's words made Aini glance at the man, trying to find answers in his expression. Leo, who was back driving, just gave a small smile. “I get jealous easily of other men, so I want to show off my future wife to everyone I can meet." Wrong, huh?”
Aini was silent upon hearing that explanation. He couldn't dodge back. Even if he said he didn't like it, of course he didn't have the right. In the end, she was going to marry Leo, so she had to get used to it from this very second on. Aini let out a sigh before she finally waited for them to arrive at the place where Leo was headed for breakfast. The restaurant Leo pointed out was different every time, so he was curious as to how he could find all those good restaurants. 
As soon as they arrived, they immediately ordered food. Aini also said that she couldn't take too long because she had to get in soon and she didn't want her to be late. How would Dave react if he was late? With that in mind, Aini always tries to arrive on time or before the scheduled meeting time. However, this time it felt like he would be late because of Leo. Another sigh came out at the thought of how angry Dave was. 
"Don't eat too fast." I'll explain later." Leo, who was sitting across from Aini, immediately rubbed the woman's lips, wiping away the stains that were there and making sure there were no other stains. "Sweet, like our breakfast menu today?"
Aini, who heard that immediately, lowered her head and got a half-eaten pancake. It was obvious that the pancakes tasted sweet, and because of that, he felt even more embarrassed. Is it possible that she could fall for Leo the way she loved Dave? The question that suddenly popped into Aini's mind made her shake her head vigorously. What kind of question did he just think of? Obviously, that's not good at all! 
Leo, who saw Aini's attitude, immediately corrected the position of his messy hair because he was trying to shake his head earlier. The warm sensation in her head made her bite her lips softly. Would she really fall in love with Leo? The possibility is inevitable, but still. It felt like he betrayed Dave. On the one hand, the boy had already approached Marissa; was it even worth waiting for him? 
"It's finished?  Let's hurry to the office. I'll make sure you won't be late. With Leo's sweet words, he immediately took Aini's hand and led her to the car. The two of them moved towards Aini's office, where Dave was waiting for him. 
 
47. Jealousy
Dave, who had come earlier in the morning, felt homesick because he had not seen Aini for the past few days, but found the woman's chair still empty. When he tried to look for it elsewhere, he still couldn't find it anywhere. At first Dave had tried to think positively, but over time, he actually felt that Aini was deliberately doing something like this, to stay away from him. Wrinkles on the forehead could not be avoided, making some who saw Dave feel afraid. 
They thought that something bad had happened to Dave, recently the company wasn't doing very well, but they didn't expect it to be this bad. Sometimes one's wants and needs cannot be the same all the time, making it difficult for some businesses to continue their work even though there are already many investors working behind them. Everyone who saw Dave was whispering and talking about the possibility of them all receiving some bad news in the near future. 
"Almost the hour," said Dave, looking at the watch on his hand. As the minutes went by, his expression became more and more unpleasant to read. Obviously this makes those who want to go to his office feel reluctant. “Why is he so late today?”
"Good morning," said one of the workers in Dave's office when he opened the door. Hearing the door open, Dave immediately looked in that direction thinking it was Aini. However, her expression showed disappointment and anger as she realized that was not the woman he was looking for. 
"Why don't you knock first?" Dave said in a tone that was so sharp. 
“A-ah, that….” Dave's workers seemed overwhelmed when they heard what Dave said, thinking that he was already in trouble. Indeed, this is true, it's just that he still has the opportunity to apologize for his actions. “I-I already knocked, but… Y-You didn't reply.”
Dave was silent for a long time, aware of his actions. He blinked a few moments before nodding in understanding. It turned out that he was indeed the one who misunderstood, even though the worker had good intentions with his arrival, but he actually thought that was not true. Feelings of uneasiness and guilt filled Dave so much that he could only lower his head and refuse to look at his worker. 
"Excuse me. So, what's going on here?"
"This morning I saw a letter addressed to you, from... a person named Hendramo." Dave rolled his eyes when he heard that and immediately ordered his worker to put the letter on the table. When he had gone out, Dave immediately went to the letter left behind. However, his eyes fell on the car that had just arrived, exactly three minutes before the check-in time. 
"Aini?" muttered Dave who realized the woman, alone with someone who was none other than Leo. 
His eyes widened when he realized Aini who was hugging Leo. Have they really gotten that far in the relationship? Or is this just an illusion that he can no longer bear because he has to be away from Aini? Various possibilities flashed through his mind, he could feel his blood boiling with rage. What is he really feeling? Why is he like this? Though usually he would be fine, so why now behaving like this? 
Dave shook his head, trying to think straight. However, from where he stood, he could see Leo who seemed to have left a kiss on Aini's forehead. Obviously that made him feel even more angry. Her hands were shaking violently from suppressing her emotions, but could she really hold it in? Even though it wasn't clear, it felt like Dave saw a smile on Aini's lips. Is she really happy with Leo? Was that what he wanted to say? 
With fast steps, Dave immediately went down to meet Aini. Percum alone he questioned himself continuously. It would be better if he immediately asked Aini, to get a clear answer rather than questioning himself like that. He still remembers how Hendramo slapped his own son, if it came to that, would it be possible for Aini to like Leo? That's impossible, right? 
"You're late," Dave commented when he saw Aini who entered, still waving her hand at Leo, or rather driving the man away. Aini jumped and immediately looked at Dave and Leo alternately. 
“S-sorry….” Aini immediately bowed because she felt guilty. When he glanced up, Dave's expression was still full of anger. “I-I really am sorry.”
"What is this?" Leo, who apparently still hadn't left, finally made Aini stand up straight, he was satisfied and didn't like the fact that his future wife was trying to bow down apologetically. “Why should he apologize? Isn't it that if someone is late, it's just a deduction from their salary?”
"He's just an apprentice, he should know himself." Leo gave a small sigh and narrowed his eyes. 
"As long as you know, yes. Aini was late not for fun…”
“To be late is to be late. Come to my room now.” Even though at this moment Dave said in such a cold tone, inside he kept cursing himself. Even though he was trying to be lenient with Aini, he immediately acted like that by himself. Maybe because of the jealousy burning inside. 
"Forgive me!" Aini called back when she was in Dave's room, only the two of them. Again Aini bowed her body as a sign that she felt guilty. 
"What did you do with him so early in the morning?"
This time Dave managed to contain his anger. He squinted at Aini but didn't give her a condescending look. Hearing Dave's changed voice, he immediately looked up and found Dave's gaze now. Not angry at all, more disappointment. Obviously this made Aini feel confused. Why should he feel that way? Wasn't he already happy with Marissa? The question bothered Aini, but she kept trying to keep quiet. Dave and Marissa's relationship had nothing to do with him. 
"So what?" Aini replied curtly, ignoring their status as superiors and subordinates. "Am I not even allowed to go out with someone I will call husband later?" Dave's eyes twitched for a moment. It should be him, it should be that name for him. As long as he was silent, he could only think like that. Why should Leo get that title? 
“‘Did you… love him?”
The question that was raised so suddenly managed to attract Aini's attention. He rolled his eyes and faltered for a few moments. Just by looking at her face, Dave felt sure to himself that Aini still had feelings for him, he still had a chance to win her heart. There is still time for him to stop this marriage. Whatever happens, he will not let Aini fall into the wrong hands. 
For a few moments there was only silence between them. It wasn't that Aini didn't want to answer, it wasn't that she also had doubts about her choice, she was just afraid she would hurt Dave's feelings. He might have answered similar questions, but Aini knew that Dave was just trying to reconfirm his feelings. Even so, the choice was unanimous. He would forget about Dave and let go of the man. 
"I have started to love him and slowly, I will start to have honest feelings for him, returning the time we spent together before."
