Chapter 81. Dress Fittings

To meet her best friend, Aini lied to Leo and said she would look for a dress for their wedding later, specifically for Lia. That's why that day, Leo didn't pick up Aini and allowed Aini to approach his friend. As soon as the two met, Lia immediately ran to Aini and hugged her tightly, making a sound like a stifled cry and rubbing her best friend's shoulder. Even though it's only been a few days, it still feels like it's been a long time.
Aini, who had let go of Lia's embrace, looked at the hand that still had bandages on it. The wrinkles on her forehead couldn't be avoided until Lia decided to cover her hands behind her body. Her gaze was panic-like, and she immediately glanced around, trying to avoid Aini's gaze. She had absolutely no idea of lying to Aini. What did he have to say about her hands?
Not wanting Lia to dodge, Aini immediately pulled her friend's arm gently. “Why is this? Why don't you tell me?”
“It's okay, really!” Aini gave a look like she wanted to say that she knew it was a lie. Finally, Lia decided to give up and sighed. “When I went to the restaurant, someone spilled hot water. That's all. I've also been to the hospital to be checked, really.”
“Then?” Aini immediately put on a pitiful expression to Lia, trying to get an answer from her.
“He said she would not leave a mark. Don't worry, okay?” For a few moments, Aini was silent, she doubted what she heard. Is Lia really okay? She didn't even have time to check his hands anymore. That feeling of guilt made Aini lower her head deeply, clearly attracting Lia's attention. “Never mind. Don't even think about it. You, yourself, how? Why do you want to meet today?”
Lia's words succeeded in making Aini silent and lowered her head. She really didn't know what to say to his best friend. She would rather not lie to her, but at the same time, she would rather not explain the problem either. Aini's silence made Lia more worried, suspecting that something bad had happened at home when she wasn't there. It was clear the worry made him feel scared, afraid that he wouldn't be a good enough friend for her.
Instead of answering with an explanation of their intentions and purpose for being here, Aini just gave a big smile before she held Lia's hand tightly. Surprised, Lia looked up and watched with a questioning look, questioning her sudden change in attitude. Unfortunately, Aini had absolutely no intention of giving an explanation and instead started walking a few steps.
“You don't need to ask any more questions, just follow me, okay? We'll arrive later if we don't ask too many questions.”
Lia pursed her lips, feeling a little annoyed that Aini didn't answer her silent question. “Yes yes. Must be a great place, huh? I don't accept that it's just an ordinary place.”
“Surely you will feel wow,” Aini replied in a bitter voice, not heard by Lia. It was clear that Lia would be surprised when she saw the intended place because the place they were going to be a clothes shop.
As she said to Leo, Aini will still bring Lia to try on several dresses for her wedding. Even though in Aini's heart she really hopes that the marriage will end or not even happen at all, having some preparations is of course very useful for the future. Both of Aini's hands immediately sweated from fear. Will Lia's reaction be okay? Or will she just scold him? All possibilities were thought of by Aini until she felt her body goosebumps.
Lia, who didn't understand Aini, could only look at her best friend with a frown. The frown did not go away, while Aini herself was not aware of the expression given by her best friend. Just by the expression that was addressed by Aini, Lia felt that wherever they went did not have a good enough destination, so she chose to be serious too. A small sigh escaped his lips. He really didn't know what to do with Aini.
It took a while before they finally arrived at their destination. Obviously, this time, Lia couldn't hold back the shock and shock inside her. Not only were his eyes completely round, but he was also letting out a small scream. Several people watched them before finally Aini covered her best friend's mouth, not that Lia did this purposely, it's just that she felt really shocked when she read the bridal inscription in the shop in front of them right now.
“Aini… what is this?!” screamed Lia who was finally released by Aini. Seeing her best friend's response that she herself had predicted, Aini could only give an innocent grin that clearly added to Lia's emotions. “Aini, explain it to me right now! What are we doing here?!”
“That ….” Aini looked around, trying to find out what she said to Lia as a lie. However, he still found nothing, so he pushed her in. “Okay, just come in first. I'll explain later.”
“Just explain now, Aini! I want to know now!” Lia, who felt encouragement from Aini, tried to restrain her best friend. “I would like to know now!”
Before Lia could say another word, suddenly a worker inside opened the door for them and greeted Aini, even mentioning Leo's name, who had made a reservation first. The name mentioned succeeded in making Lia speechless. He glanced between the present workers and Aini in turn, unable to believe what he had just heard. What did she not hear you correctly?
“Please come with me,” said the person serving Aini. Again, Aini only gave a grin to Lia and now withdrew her hand. “For the color, I've seen the wedding dress. With much consideration, we have decided to select a few from this collection.”
“This is for…?” Lia, who saw the line of dresses, looked at Aini with bulging eyes.
“Yes, this is all for you to try. The problem is: I already have a wedding dress, all that's left is the person who will be with me all the time…. Do you want to be the maid of honor?” It was clear from the tone given by Aini that she had doubts. Was she really doing the right thing? “You see… I can only trust you. If you're not the companion, I can't possibly invite Salsa, right?”
Hearing that name mentioned, Lia looked a little angry. Her eyes were ablaze before he finally nodded her head. “I try! I'm the only one you can trust!”
“Could you follow me to try on the clothes, please?” The person who had been waiting for a while gave a sweet smile towards Lia. Although he felt a little scared, but he finally worked up the courage to do it. After all, this is all she does for Aini. Obviously, her best friend needed help with this.
As soon as she saw Lia who had entered with several collections of clothes that had been chosen, a sigh escaped Aini's lips. She immediately sat down on the chair that was there and looked around him. To be honest, she still couldn't believe that she was getting married, even though he didn't know how long it would take. With a head filled with various problems, Aini finally shook her head and decided to focus on the existing problems first. Namely, Lia's dress.
