Chapter 85. Emotional Overflow

Arjuna has mixed feelings after hearing Lia's story. Even though he said that he would help to find a way for them to get Aini out of Leo's trap, it was still more difficult to do. Leo is by no means a weak foe, his mindset is like being ahead of them all. For that reason, it was clear that Arjuna was worried. Coupled with Dave's relationship, which doesn't seem to improve at all with Aini.
With all the problems on his mind, Arjuna finally decided to come to the office to meet Dave at lunch. Before arriving, he left a note saying that he would meet her, telling her not to go anywhere and to stay put. When he arrived, the expression on Arjuna's face was clearly filled with anger. Everyone who saw Arjuna decided to lower their heads and stay away from him.
Brutally, Arjuna immediately opened Dave's office door to find the man slumped over his desk. Viewed from any angle, it was clear that he was asleep and focused on his world. Dave's actions now had clearly succeeded in making Arjuna even angrier. Without further ado, Arjuna immediately trotted over to Dave's desk and kicked it hard, managing to wake Dave up from his sleep. When he jumped, his eyes opened wide at the sight of Arjuna.
“Ah… sorry,” Dave said groggily before he rubbed his face, sitting up straighter. Now Arjuna could see Dave even better. Not only did his expression look messy, but his clothes were now also completely untidy. He who had taken off his jacket was seen loosening his tie, while his shirt looked as though it had not been ironed. “Have arrived? So, what are you going to say?”
Arjuna, who was too angry and surprised by Dave's condition, now, blinked his eyes confused. “H-huh…? That… uhm, why, huh….” Arjuna now has a blank stare, like someone who is not in the right mind. It took a while before he finally remembered what he wanted to cover. “Oh! This is about Aini!”
“Aini? Why?” Dave, who was still semi-conscious, was surprised when Arjuna thumped his desk once again, as if wanting to emphasize that this was a big problem and this was all one of his faults. Dave struggled to shake off the drowsiness, but he decided to remain silent.
“You said why? Do you know what Lia told me?”
“Lia? Since when did you two get close? Again… why have you been so obsessed with Aini lately? Don't tell me you… like him?”
Arjuna was silent for a moment. He never expected to hear such a question from Dave. Even though he seemed to have lied before, it felt like those lies weren't enough to convince him of what was happening now. He did seem to meddle in the existing issues, it's no wonder that Dave started to feel suspicious of him. In his panic and confusion, Arjuna decided to clear his throat and avert his eyes, not wanting to answer Dave at all.
Dave's eyes immediately narrowed at the man in front of him. However, no matter how long she spent just staring at the boy, she had absolutely no intention of answering him. Knowing that there was no event to make him tell the story, Dave finally sighed before sitting down relatedly. He looked outside, remembering how Leo and Aini had come that morning, even looking very intimate. Not only did his heart ache, but remembering it made his head ache too.
“Do you love Aini or not?” asked Arjuna plainly. He glared at Dave, filled with loathing. Obviously, this made Dave sigh and still refused to look at Arjuna. “I asked you, do you love Aini or not, huh? Don't be like a hothead who loses to fate before you try anything.”
“You know what about me? Do you know what I'm trying to do to get Mini back to my side?!? Fueled by his emotions, Dave finally slammed on the table and stood up, meeting Arjuna's wild eyes. It's just that he doesn't want to lose so that it makes his face look even more sinister.
"Yeah, I don't know anything about you because you're a selfish person who isn't even concerned about other people's feelings! As long as you know, yes. Your love for Aini now does nothing like the hatred that is in Leo. But, here I come to know that you have absolutely no right to get Aini!”
“I don't understand you. What do you mean, huh?” Dave, who was starting to regain consciousness, tried to hold back his emotions, he would rather not get into a big fight with his best friend.
Annoyed by Dave's dismissive attitude, Arjuna tugged at Dave's collar, bringing their faces close together. "Aini has already fitted her wedding dress, which means they have set a wedding date. Yesterday, Lia even had to go with Aini for the dress fitting!”
“Aini … dress fitting?”
Dave, who heard that, felt his body, immediately, go limp. If it wasn't for Arjuna's strong grip, he would have fallen to his knees. A pitiful expression and like a sign that he had lost, made Arjuna feel a little sorry for his friend. However, it was clear that the anger and hatred only grew. He clenched his other hand, feeling it shake quite a bit. Meanwhile, he himself could only lower his head and mutter something.
Both of them fell silent. Dave, who didn't listen to Arjuna's words and also Arjuna, who didn't have the intention to explaining what he said. They were in this situation for some time before Arjuna finally threw Dave into his chair hard, trying to revive him. Unfortunately, what he did had absolutely no effect on Dave. The man looked like he was about to give up.
Dave's arbitrary actions succeeded in making Arjuna's anger peak. He immediately stepped behind the desk and pushed Dave's chair, pushing him up against the wall. The expression he gave was already not just anger and hatred, but that of someone who had lost his mind. He kicked the chair Dave was sitting on and startled the man.
“Listen to me carefully, if you really love Aini, if you really love her, you should never let her get hurt! With the fact that you know what he's going through, you should still be by his side! But what are you doing? Your actions hurt Aini even more!”
Dave briefly looked up to meet Arjuna's face before he finally lowered his head, the expression on his face completely unreadable. “Yeah… I'm just a trash guy for Aini. If you already know, you shouldn't have said anything, right?”
“You… say what?” Even though he didn't see it, Dave could feel that Arjuna's gaze had changed. If before it was exactly like someone who had lost his mind, this time it was clearly like he had gone crazy. Without saying anything, Arjuna raised his fist and punched Dave twice in the face. "I hope that will make you aware. If Aini, it's not just hurting others, but also you. If you… can be a better person for Aini.” Knowing that there was nothing he could do anymore, Arjuna finally sighed and left Dave alone.
