Chapter 1: Fangirling from Afar

Aaliyah's room was a haven of admiration, a shrine to her adoration for Korean Actor Superstar Dae-Seong. Posters adorned the walls, each capturing a different facet of his charismatic smile or intense gaze. She sat cross-legged on her bed, engrossed in a fan forum discussing Dae-Seong's latest drama. Her fingers tapped out comments on her laptop, connecting with fellow fans who shared her passion.
Her best friend Mia burst into the room, her excitement palpable. "Guess what I found online!"
Aaliyah tore her gaze from the screen, curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Mia grinned and waved her phone. "News about Dae-Seong's upcoming fan meeting in Manila!"
Aaliyah's heart raced as she snatched the phone from Mia's hand, eyes scanning the article. "No way! He's actually coming here?"
Mia nodded vigorously. "Yep! And you bet I'm getting us tickets."
Aaliyah's pulse quickened. "Us?"
Mia laughed. "Of course! I'm not missing the chance to see you lose your cool in front of your ultimate bias."
Aaliyah blushed, her cheeks matching the shade of her beloved Dae-Seong's hoodie draped over her chair. "I don't lose my cool!"
Mia raised an eyebrow. "Remember when you screamed for five straight minutes after he tweeted a selfie?"
Aaliyah covered her face with her hands, embarrassment flooding her. "Okay, maybe I do... sometimes."
Mia chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm excited too. It'll be an unforgettable experience."
As the weeks flew by, Aaliyah's room underwent a transformation. Stacks of Dae-Seong merchandise turned into neatly packed bags of essentials for the fan meeting. Aaliyah's heart raced every time she thought about seeing him in person, her anticipation growing by the day.
"Dae-Seong oppa, here I come," Aaliyah whispered to herself, practicing the Korean endearment she'd heard in countless dramas.
Mia entered the room, holding up a poster of Dae-Seong. "Are you ready to fangirl in person?"
Aaliyah squealed, snatching the poster from Mia's hands and hugging it tightly. "I can't believe this is happening!"
Mia grinned. "Well, you better believe it, because we're going to meet him, and you'll finally get to see if he smells as good as he looks."
Aaliyah raised an eyebrow. "You can't be serious."
Mia shrugged. "You know how they say scent is the strongest sense tied to memory? What if he smells amazing and you remember it forever?"
Aaliyah laughed. "You're insane, but now I'm curious."
As the day of the fan meeting approached, Aaliyah's excitement reached a fever pitch. She spent hours picking out her outfit, discarding one option after another. Mia watched the fashion show with amusement. "Remember, Aaliyah, you're not going on a date. It's just a fan meeting."
Aaliyah sighed, standing in front of her mirror in a cute dress. "I know, but what if he notices me?"
Mia smirked. "With that outfit, he'd be blind not to."
Aaliyah threw a pillow at her friend, laughing. "Stop teasing! I just want to look nice."
"You already do," Mia said with a wink. "Now let's get some sleep. We've got a big day ahead."
The night before the fan meeting, Aaliyah tossed and turned in bed, her mind a whirlwind of excitement and nerves. She closed her eyes and imagined standing in front of Dae-Seong, her heart racing as she handed him a letter she had written, expressing her gratitude for inspiring her through his work.
In her dream, he smiled warmly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Thank you for your support," he said in perfect English.
Aaliyah's heart soared, and she woke up with a smile on her face, the dream lingering in her mind like a promise.
As the sun rose, Aaliyah sprang out of bed, her energy renewed. The day had finally arrived, the day she would be in the same room as Dae-Seong. She dressed quickly, her outfit carefully chosen for maximum comfort and style.
Mia entered her room, eyes wide with excitement. "Are you ready for this?"
Aaliyah took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "I think so. Let's do this."
They headed to the venue, joining the throngs of fans who had gathered, their energy palpable. Aaliyah's hands trembled with a mix of excitement and nervousness as she clutched her ticket.
As the doors to the venue swung open, Aaliyah stepped inside, her heart racing as the anticipation grew. The room was a sea of excited fans, their energy infectious. Aaliyah found a spot near the stage, her heart pounding louder with every passing second.
As the lights dimmed and Dae-Seong's voice echoed through the venue, Aaliyah's breath caught in her throat. He stepped onto the stage, a vision of charisma and charm. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Aaliyah felt a sense of belonging among fellow fans who shared her love.
As Dae-Seong began to speak, Aaliyah listened with rapt attention, hanging onto his every word. His smile was just as dazzling in person, and his presence filled the entire room. She marveled at the fact that she was breathing the same air as her ultimate bias, a dream she had never imagined could come true.
As the fan meeting continued, Aaliyah's heart swelled with emotion. She laughed at Dae-Seong's anecdotes, her admiration for him deepening with every passing minute. She shared excited glances with Mia, their eyes sparkling with joy.
And then, something magical happened. Dae-Seong's gaze swept across the crowd, and for a brief moment, it felt like his eyes locked.
