"You're leaving? Why so", their coach asked in a rather calm tone. "This used to make me happy, but now, I just feel like I'm being forced to do it. My heart doesn't belong here anymore", Jae-seong answered with her head hanging low. "If that's what you really want kid. It's just such a waste, you're one of our best players, you can even keep up with the seniors", their coach said writing something down. "Are you really sure about this", he asked. "Yes. I'm so sorry-", Jae-seong answered but got cut off. "You don't have to be sorry. Now, if you change your mind, you know where to find me. Here, take this to the administration and tell them it's from me", their coach said handing her a letter that he wrote. "If you don't mind me asking, what is this", Jae-seong asked taking the letter. "You will know in the next few days, now go", their coach said as she bowed and left the office. "So", Lucas asked waiting outside. "He told me to give this to the administration", Jae-seong answered showing Lucas the letter. "What is that", Lucas asked intently looking at it. "Exactly my thoughts", Jae-seong said dragging Lucas. "Why are you in such a hurry", Lucas asked being willingly dragged. "Yuta, remember", Jae-seong asked. "Oh yeah right. Keep on dragging me then", Lucas said which made Jae-seong stop. "You're enjoying this huh", Jae-seong said before storming off leaving Lucas. "Hey! I was just joking", Lucas exclaimed following Jae-seong. "I have work today", Jae-seong said. "I know and I'm coming with", Yuta responded. "Seriously", Jae-seong asked face palming herself. "What? I wanna show some support at least", Yuta said with a smile. "Weird, but okay", Jae-seong said walking past Yuta as he followed. "So, where are we going", Yuta asked. "Well, I have a shoot with some skin care company and after that I have a shoot with a clothing line", Jae-seong answered looking at her phone as they were walking. "Is this how your day normally goes", Yuta asked. "No, but since I'm off the scholarship grant already, I have to do this", Jae-seong answered still busy with her phone. "But what are you doing now", Yuta asked again seeing Jae-seong as noticeably so busy. "Well, I don't have a manager so I am handling everything on my own", Jae-seong answered. "Are you hiring", Yuta asked which shocked Jae-seong but at the same time made her laugh. "Are you seriously asking me to hire you as my manager", Jae-seong asked still laughing but immediately stopped when she saw Yuta's reaction. "Oh so you're serious", Jae-seong said. "You see, I'm only making enough and I can't risk hiring a manager now that I need money the most", Jae-seong said scratching the back of her neck. "Who said you have to pay me", Yuta asked which made Jae-seong widened her eyes. "No no I can't accept that", Jae-seong said slightly in panic. "Why not", Yuta asked. "I just don't want to be pitied. I can still manage anyways", Jae-seong answered honestly. It will be always this way anyways. At the end of the day, all I have is myself. "There is one thing you don't know about her though, not even Taeyong knew this", Jaehyun said interrupting their little meeting the night before the ferris wheel ride. "What is it", Taeyong asked intrigued. "She doesn't like asking for help no matter how hard it is already for her. She's the type of person that would always be there for you and would put your needs first above hers. She would always smile in front of you and she really really hates it when other people see her in a vulnerable state. She doesn't want bothering others with her problems and deals with them on her own", Jaehyun said which made the three visibly sad. Jaehyun then reached for his phone and showed it to the three. "This is a text conversation I had with her when we were still back in Incheon about a few years ago. This was when she would get dragged in and out of Seoul by our own mom. They are really not of good terms and our mom only saw her as someone who she can milk money out of. At night, I would hear our mom scold her for pointless things and when we get up in the morning, she would have puffy eyes and new bruises that are strategically easy to hide, it's as if it's on purpose. She would always tell me that she's fine and that it's nothing. I always knew something was off but there's nothing I can do if she won't let me help", Jaehyun explained as they read the conversation.
Jae-seong -No no there's nothing to be worried about :D -I'm fine hihi -I'm actually already familiar with Seoul! You should come with us sometimes! -Oh and if Mark and Lucas looks for me, tell them I won't be able to make it today -Thanks ^^
