Femi Badmus walked in with an air of superiority. You could see a picture of a triumphant man. He had succeeded in nailing his former bestie. He felt very fulfilled as he whisked in with a smirk on his hot, and dashing face. "Femi!" Anu whispered fully surprised to see him. "That's me, my courageous Anu. We need to talk about you. I'm sorry I haven't been available but now I intend to stay a bit. How about dinner tonight?" He demanded feeling excited about his new accomplishment. "Don't you think it's too early for this? I'm not in a good frame of mind. I'm downcast with this new revelation. Can't we wait?" Anu pleaded with her eyes dialating. Femi stood gazing into her eyes, all his excitement gone into thin air. How can I delay any longer? Does she know that I left my business to come all the way from Lagos? If only she knows how I feel about her! Femi mused in his heart. Anu could see through him. She has always admired the young, dashing, handsome dude. He is everything you need in a man. He is well built, able bodied young man. His face is well sculptured like a Greek god. Her heart melted and she could feel a strong attraction towards him. A kind of vibration kept on going through her body. She hugged herself immediately. But is this right? Morally, it's wrong to pally with a man who put her husband behind bars. Moreover, the man behind bars, is the father of her child. Anu was not comfortable about having a date right away. But she must admit that she felt something for the guy. Oh my God! What do I do now? She thought in her mind. "Come off it, babe! I bought a dress for you. Go inside and change into this." Femi handed a cloth in a parcel to Anu. It's clear, he would not take no for an answer. With reluctance, she stretched out her hand to collect the cloth, but not without whispering to her mother and brother. "Are you sure, this is right?" Anu asked, turning first to her Mom, then Iyin her brother. Iyin shrugged his shoulder and declared, "You are of age sis. I would not interfere in this. Maybe you need a break from the tyrant husband, Bayo. Hmm, maybe not. I feel you should decide what you want at this point. If you are confused, pray to the holy spirit to lead you. As many as are led by the spirit of God, are sons of God. I'm not a judge, but your brother." He voiced out feeling uneasy. Could this be a sign that I should say no? Saying No, is a sign of maturity. I am getting confused. My heart is skipping fast, and I feel guilty and awful. She reasoned in her heart. "My daughter, I feel you should stay with us tonight. My son, Please be patient and come back tomorrow. It's just some hours away. Your outing will be better enjoyed tomorrow than today. Please, my son. We all appreciated your sacrifice of love. You are wonderful." Mrs Moji bailed Anu out and rightly so. Femi left the house without saying a word. He was dejected. Anu wanted to escort him outside the house but with a wave of his hand, he stopped her from moving an inch. He was quite disssappointed. He entered his vehicle and drove off. While Anu went into the room very sober. She could not come out till the following day. Bayo was released from the police station by the following day. He was the one that woke them up in the house with a shout of a drowning man. "Where is the harlot? Come out here?" He kept on yelling. Mrs Moji came out of the house and discovered that it was him. She became infuriated. "Ha ha, Bayo! What has come over you? What errant nonsense is this?" She hissed at him. "I know that I offended her but she should at least be reasonable enough to return home. Does it mean that she has left me?" Bayo asked. "Oh! You mean that you realized your mistake and you are still angry with her? A reasonable man will plead and not flex his muscles. Are you okay?" Mrs Moji challenged him, rolling her eyes. "Okay Mama, please plead on my behalf. Let me see her at home today. Can I see my son too?" Bayo implored. "No you can't see him, Bayo. Remember that you rejected this boy by denying the paternity. You made me go through hell in your house, treating me as if you were doing me a favour. Please, I have forgiven you and that is why I am not pressing charges against you. Go in peace, let's part ways now!" Anu shouted with a furrowed brow and pouted lips. "Please Anu, I'm very sorry for making your life miserable. Let's go home together. I love you my wife." He implored with a sober look. He looked tired and worn out. Anu looked at him and broke out in tears. Her heart was broken. Bayo walked closer and held her in a warm embrace. "No! This can't be! Leave this place at once! You rogue! " Anu disentangled immediately and they both turned to see him standing tall.
