Anu, full of excitement on seeing Femi Badmus, her face lit with joy. Faraway from home, she sometimes misses her mom, Iyin her brother, and of course, Ayomide, her son. You can imagine the joy of seeing someone she knows. Moreover Femi came with all intention to see her. Oh la la! The two embraced each other for a very long time. Happiness had to cough and cough, but they refused to disengage. Righteous, Anu's bestie tapped Anu, being uncomfortable with the way they were held each other. She felt it wasn't moral "Ha ha, sister Aanu, yaya? Ha ha, this is getting too much. Please stop it, both of you." With all reluctance, Anu disengaged from his warm embrace. Could you believe that she became emotional and started to cry, with tears brimming from her pretty eyes. Waoh, damn too tender and delicate. "That's okay, my baby. I'm here now. I promise to be coming to check on you. You must have missed everyone at home, isn't it ?" Femi uttered, feeling good for the acceptance. He got more than what he expected. Anu nodded with a faint smile. Femi gave her a big surprise by pecking her, on her two lovely cheeks. She raised her brow in utter surprise. "You see what I am saying. I can't seem to get it, Sister Anu? Righteous the nosey friend spoke. "What is it now! I'm an adult for crying out loud. Are you my mother, to be monitoring my movement?" Anu said, impatient with her bestie. "Yes, I have your reply please. I'm your covenant friend. We both promised ourselves that we will be each other's accountability partner. I'm watching your back, sis. Heh, what are friends for?" "You nosey friend, leave here this minute. Let me be please." "Nope, there is no way I am leaving you here with this hungry man. Look at his eyes, full of lust for you. I pity you, friend, your heart is too open." Righteous insisted on not departing from the place. "That's okay my love, I will give you a call. Let me be on my way to Lagos. I promise to come next weekend. I will take you out on a date. And to you, Miss Righteous, your righteousness is like filthy rags before the Lord." Femi declared to which they all broke out laughing. "Hmm, next weekend, you say? I have someone who will be coming too." Anu replied thoughtfully. "Who is that?" Femi asked, his voice rising. "The man who is my sponsor. He is a very good man, a philanthropist. Oh my God! He is my angel in human form. May God bless him for me. Do you know that he is also taking care of my junior brother? As I'm talking to you, my brother, Iyin is with him. He sends money to my mother every month. Hmm, he is too much. Infact…" Anu was cut short by Femi. "Enough my baby, enough. Did I tell you that I cannot take care of you?" Femi demanded, his eyes turned green with envy. His countenance changed, with furrowed brow and pouted lips. "But Femi, why are you taking this personal? You are not my husband, are you? Instead of you to be happy for me, you are angry. For what reason? By the way, I am not your love, or your baby. Please stop it!" Anu warned with a stern face and voice. "Please, I'm sorry but I am not too comfortable with some of this so called, philanthropist. No man does favour without a reward. He is looking forward to getting something from the favours, he is rendering. I am a man, and I can bet with my life. The man wants you to warm his bed." Femi exposed. "Stop it, Femi! From your mouth? Oh may be you are damn right. You are also being nice to me because you want to sleep with me, isn't it? Then you are both birds of a feather." Anu declared. "Well mine is different." Femi replied. "Says who? You are all the same. You want Anu in the other room, tell me the truth." Righteous uttered. Turning to Anu, she declared, "Didn't I tell you the same thing he voiced out earlier today? As if he heard everything we discussed. Anyway, be careful, because I do not trust that your philanthropist, not at all." "By the way, what is the name of the man?" Femi asked. "Oh, he is a barrister, you know." "OMG, I say that you should tell me his name. I'm sure he has a name." Femi shouted, irritated to the bones. "My dear friend, please listen to the voice of wisdom. I feel that Righteous is talking sense. Beware of Mr. Philanthropist." Happiness interjected. He had been listening to their conversation and felt he should say something. Happy also nodded to what his brother had spoken. "Anu, can't you tell us the man's name?" Righteous insisted. "He is Barrister Babajide Badmus!" Anu replied. "Baba, what! That's my blood brother!" Anu pointed at Femi, and replied, "Your blood brother?" Her face widened in deep surprise.
