"What", Jae-seong asked in shock. "I know you heard me. Don't make me repeat myself", Yuta said in a monotonous manner. "Surely there are other compromises. Can't you think of another option", Jae-seong asked trying to avoid what he wants. "Well I thought you were sure about compromising", Yuta asked back leaving Jae-seong no other option. "You know what? Okay fine, compromise, right? I'll move in with you next week but until then, let's not see each other or even talk to one another, don’t even look my way", Jae-seong responded emphasizing the word ‘compromise’ with her head hanging low. "Why is that all of a sudden", Yuta asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Do as I wish and I'll comply with what you want", Jae-seong simply said before standing up from her seat and walking out the place. Jae-seong walked continuously without looking back. After walking for a while, she eventually felt weak and dizzy to which she decided to sit down by the convenience store that was conveniently few steps away from her. They don’t call it convenience store for nothing. As she sat down she immediately placed her head on the table and slowly closed her eyes. She was about to fall asleep when she felt a tap on her back. She immediately lifted her head and looked towards her back only to see Ten waving at her with a wide smile. Jae-seong squinted her eyes and raised an eyebrow as her lips formed a smile.
"This is no place to sleep in", Ten said before taking a seat beside her. "What are you doing here", Jae-seong asked chuckling. "Was just about to buy some snacks when I saw a familiar someone looking uncomfortable trying to sleep", Ten answered making Jae-seong laugh. "How about you? What are you doing here", Ten now asked. "Just wanted to rest up a little bit before walking home", Jae-seong answered with her eyes focused on the table. "Is something bothering you", Ten asked finally taking notice. "Huh? No no. I'm fine", Jae-seong responded trying to laugh it off. "No you're not", Ten said as he stared at her with widened eyes. "Just pretend that I am", she responded forcing a smile.
"Well alright then. If you say you are fine then you are", Ten said raising his hands up in defeat. "Is it hard living by yourself", Jae-seong asked out of nowhere which caught Ten off guard. "Uhm well honestly, I think it's better than living with someone else", Ten responded hesitatingly. "Why is that? Like don't you get bored or scared or feel lonely", Jae-seong asked again. "At times I do but it's better than having to put up with someone who I can't stand at all", Ten answered making Jae-seong suddenly get lost in her thoughts. "Why all of the sudden questions? And what are you planning to do", Ten now asked.
"How long are you planning on staying in university", Jae-seong asked completely ignoring Ten's questions. "To be honest with you, I'm planning on dropping after this semester", Ten answered with a shy smile. "Really? Isn't it finals week next week", Jae-seong asked with her eyes widening upon realization. "Yeah, guess you'll only get to see me at Sun", Ten responded chuckling bitterly. "But why", Jae-seong asked. "I know you know how hard it is to manage our time, having to balance life at university and life as a trainee is such a handful. Plus, I have always wanted to be a performer so I decided on focusing on training since this is what I've always wanted to do", Ten answered as Jae-seong just sighed at the thought.
"How about you? Why are you suddenly asking about this? You're having thoughts of dropping too aren't you", Ten asked poking Jae-seong's arm. "That's the problem, I don't know what to pick. I don't know if I'll pursue my childhood dream of becoming an architect or pursue this once in a lifetime opportunity of becoming an actual performer", Jae-seong responded as she spaced out staring into nothingness. "Pursue whichever fulfills you and will make you happy the longest", Ten said patting Jae-seong's head with a smile.
"It ain't that easy picking just one", Jae-seong replied grumpily removing Ten's hand. "It really isn't. You can take your time thinking things through if you have to", Ten said. "But the end of the semester is just around the corner and I don't want to enroll in another semester just to end up dropping it the very next day", Jae-seong now visibly frustrated. "Are you free tonight", Ten asked out of nowhere. "Well yeah", Jae-seong answeres hesitatingly. "Come with me", Ten said as he stood up and extended a hand towards her. Slowly, she took his hand and stood up as well.
