"A what now? A witness", Jae-seong asked with her eyes widened. "Remember your kidnapper", Jaehyun asked as if it wasn't obvious. "Vividly", Jae-seong answered as if it shouldn’t even be asked anymore. "Well they have done it multiple times apparently. They messed with the wrong girl", Taeyong explained as he started driving. "What do you mean", Lucas asked as he can't help but be curious. "The girl they took is the daughter of one of the well-known lawyers here. Normally, they would be afraid knowing that he is the grandson of the president but this lawyer is known for being bold and not fearing anyone but the law", Taeyong explained which amused the three. “Shouldn’t that make me a victim not a witness”, Jae-seong asked emphasizing the words ‘victim’ and ‘witness’. “Well technically yes, but court terms, you’re being summoned as a witness not as a victim since your case is only recent and I don’t really know maybe ask the lawyer that or whatever”, Jaehyun answered. “She does have a point, you know”, Taeyong said. "But why do we have to stay in your house", Ten asked sounding as if he is opposing the idea.
"Because he isn't detained and knows the list of witnesses. He might harm you and everyone close to you, which includes us", Jaehyun explained making them more stressed than terrified. "Why does he have to be such a pain in the ass", Lucas asked face palming himself as his body sunk in his seat. "How is that even possible? How can he not be detained?", Ten asked really opposing the idea of staying at Taeyong's. "Simple. He is part of a powerful family", Jae-seong said sounding irritated. "Then why go through all this hassle when at the end of the day, he is still part of said powerful family", Lucas asked. "Because there are still people who still believe that justice will prevail and serve them right", Taeyong answered with a sigh.
"When is the trial", Jae-seong asked. "Saturday", Jaehyun answered. "What? It's only Thursday? That fast? How", Jae-seong asked as she was mentally unprepared for whatever is to happen. "The lawyer simply knows his way in and out of the law", Taeyong answered as they slowly approached his house. "How did he even kidnap another girl that fast", Jae-seong asked getting more frustrated as more information gets fed unto her. "They took her before you and started working on the case as soon as they got her back", Taeyong explained. "And when was that", Lucas now asked as he was equally as confused as Jae-seong and Ten. "Last month. They gathered as much evidence as possible to indict properly", Taeyong explained as he pulled up by his mansion.
"What are they charging him", Jae-seong asked as they got out the car one by one. "Other than the abduction of 12 women? He will be facing charges against assault bodily harm and sexual assault as well", Taeyong answered making Jae-seong speechless. "There is a high possibility that he will be sentenced to life imprisonment, or worse, death", Taeyong continued which made all of them fall silent. "Let's just head inside first", Taeyong said after the awkward silence. "I can't believe I was in the same area of a criminal", Lucas said as soon as they got inside. "Why do you make it sound so bad", Ten asked trying to hold back his laughter. "Because it is! Jae even got a taste of it", Lucas responded before laying down on the sofa.
"How about my stuff", Jae-seong asked changing the subject. "I have it all ready in your room upstairs", Mark answered who was walking down the stairs making all the heads turn towards him. "When did you arrive here", Lucas asked. "And I have a room", Jae-seong asked as well. "Definitely earlier than you, and yeah, you're sharing the room with Taeyong", Mark answered as he continued walking down. "Taeyong? Why", Jae-seong asked turning to face Taeyong. "We all have decided on it okay. It's only you who's spent multiple nights in his room and there is only 5 rooms vacant", Jaehyun explained shrugging. "But why is it me who has to share rooms", Jae-seong asked.
"Because we said so", Vernon said exiting the kitchen. "And why are you here", Jae-seong asked with a smile. "Apparently I am that close to you", Vernon responded chuckling. "Tch whatever, I'm starving", Jae-seong said giggling as she walked towards the kitchen. "There isn't even a single egg in the fridge", Vernon said making Jae-seong stop on her tracks with all of their heads turning towards Taeyong. "I'm sorry I don't even eat here anymore jeez. I'm gonna go to the grocery now okay", Taeyong said raising both his hands up. "I'll come with", Jae-seong said enthusiastically as she ran towards Taeyong.
