"This one this one", Jae-seong repeatedly exclaimed as she pointed at nothing specific as they passed by the candy aisle. "Which one", Taeyong asked. "All of them", Jae-seong responded biting her lower lip with eyes widened at the sight of candies. "Still love sweets huh", Taeyong said chuckling as he approached the candies with Jae-seong following him from behind. "What do you mean", Jae-seong asked as her hands started picking up the sweets left and right. "I'm just saying that a lot hasn't changed about you ever since", Taeyong responded smiling at the sight of her looking like a kid happily picking out sweets. "Wrong! I changed a lot just so you know", Jae-seong exclaimed before placing the sweets at the cart all at once.
"Really now? Changed how exactly", Taeyong asked as he started walking away from the aisle. "Well... for starters, I now sleep facing my right side", Jae-seong answered fidgeting her fingers. "Wow what such a huge change", Taeyong responded sarcastically. "So what if I'm still the same... with some minor adjustments", Jae-seong asked emphasizing the last part. "I just miss it, you know. I miss you, I miss us. I just miss it so much", Taeyong said suddenly getting emotional in the middle of the grocery store. "What has gotten into you saying the word ‘miss’ four times in a single breath, that’s more than how many times you’ve ever told me that word since the start of our relationship", Jae-seong asked laughing but Taeyong kept a straight face. Jae-seong eventually stopped laughing as she noticed Taeyong's reaction. He eventually smiled and muffled Jae-seong's hair. "You're lucky you are Jung Jae-seong", Taeyong said before walking away.
"Huh? I'm lucky? How", Jae-seong muttered asking herself with a confused face. "Hey! What is that supposed to mean", Jae-seong asked running after Taeyong as soon as she got back to her senses. "Lucky how? Hey Lee Taeyong! Wait for me", Jae-seong continued as she ran after Taeyong who was completely ignoring her. The two continued to run after each other making their trip inside the grocery store take up double the time they intended to spend there.
The rest of the weekend went by pretty fast for Jae-seong who had a busy schedule, balancing her studies for her last week of school before dropping out and her responsibilities as a trainee. Before she knew it, she was waking up to a not so ordinary weekday as she has to step inside the court to stand as a witness after her first day of finals.
"How you feeling", Ten asked nudging Jae-seong's side. "Sick. Oh I'm sick. Looks like I don't need to go to court today", Jae-seong said out loud faking out coughs. "Sick or not, you still have to go. Besides, we are already on our way, you can't back out now", Jaehyun responded glaring at Jae-seong from the front seat. "Dang it", Jae-seong muttered making Lucas and Mark laugh. "You could just stay silent you know, like they always say, you have the right to remain silent", Mark teased as Jae-seong pouted. “Just shout that you plead the fifth for every single question isn’t that for the defendants only”, Lucas asked laughing at the thought. "Of course I won't do that gosh", Jae-seong exclaimed crossing her arms. "You aren't even the defendant, what are you so nervous about", Vernon asked peeking from the back. "I even don't know", Jae-seong exclaimed now hiding her face in her palms.
"It's her first time", Jaehyun responded making Jae-seong whine. "Alright! We're here", Taeyong said making Jae-seong tense up. "Already? We just left your house, how can we be here already? Why was the ride so fast", Jae-seong kept asking refusing to leave the van. "The ride literally took 20 minutes", Lucas responded looking at his phone. "You'll be alright! Come on! We're here, we won't leave you", Ten said as he slowly escorted Jae-seong out the van. "There you go, now let's go inside", Jaehyun said as soon as she got out of the van. She suddenly became mute as they walked towards the entrance. Not a single word until they finally entered. Strangely enough, they felt something weird.
Jae-seong then started shaking her arms and legs with her eyes closed. "Let's do this", she said talking to no one specific as she finished shaking her limbs and opened her eyes. She then started waking towards the courtroom. The rest looked at each other with weirded out looks as they saw Jae-seong transform within literally seconds. "Is it just me-", Mark tried speaking up but got cut off. "Nope", the rest said in unison before following behind Jae-seong. "She really is something", Lucas commented. "Yeah, something scary", Mark added making them chuckle.
