Regine couldn't believe that she had just met James's ex-girlfriend, Sarah. She was even more shocked by the fact that Sarah had come back into James's life. Regine knew that she had to talk to James about Sarah. She didn't want her to come between them. The next day, Regine went to the library to study. She knew that James would be there too. Regine found James sitting at a table in the corner. He was reading a book. Regine sat down across from James. "Hi," she said. James looked up from his book and smiled. "Hi, sweetheart," he said. "What's up?" Regine took a deep breath. "I need to talk to you about something," she said. James's smile faded. "What is it?" he asked. "Sarah," Regine said. "I saw her yesterday." James frowned. "Why did you talk to her?" he asked. "I didn't talk to her," Regine said. "She came up to me." "What did she say?" James asked. "She told me to stay away from you," Regine said. James shook his head. "She doesn't mean it," he said. "She's just jealous." "Are you sure?" Regine asked. "Yes," James said. "I'm sure." "Okay," Regine said. "But I'm still worried." "Don't be," James said. "I'm with you now, and that's all that matters." **Later that day** Regine was walking to class when she saw Sarah walking towards her. Sarah was smiling, but her eyes were cold and menacing. "Regine," Sarah said. "I need to talk to you." Regine stopped and looked at Sarah. "What is it?" she asked. "I want you to stay away from James," Sarah said. "He's mine." Regine laughed. "He's not yours," she said. "He's mine." Sarah's smile faded. "You'll regret this," she said. Then, Sarah turned and walked away. Regine watched her go, feeling uneasy. She knew that Sarah was serious. She was determined to keep Regine away from James. Regine knew that she had to be careful. She had to protect herself and James from Sarah. Regine watched Sarah walk away, feeling uneasy. She knew that Sarah was serious. She was determined to keep Regine away from James. Regine knew that she had to be careful. She had to protect herself and James from Sarah. **The next day** Regine was walking to class when she saw Sarah sitting on a bench. Sarah was wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses. She looked like she was waiting for someone. Regine knew that Sarah was waiting for her. Regine took a deep breath and walked over to Sarah. "What are you doing here?" Regine asked. Sarah looked up at Regine and smiled. "I'm here to talk to you," she said. "About what?" Regine asked. "About James," Sarah said. "I don't want to talk about him," Regine said. "You have to," Sarah said. "We need to settle this once and for all." Regine sat down on the bench next to Sarah. "Fine," she said. "What do you want to talk about?" "I want you to stay away from James," Sarah said. "He's mine." Regine laughed. "He's not yours," she said. "He's mine." Sarah's smile faded. "You'll regret this," she said. "I don't think so," Regine said. "I love James, and he loves me." Sarah stood up and towered over Regine. "You're making a big mistake," she said. Regine stood up and looked Sarah in the eye. "I'm not afraid of you," she said. Sarah leaned in close to Regine's face. "You should be," she said. Suddenly, Sarah grabbed Regine by the arm and pulled her close. She raised her hand to slap Regine, but before she could bring it down, a strong hand grabbed her wrist. "Leave her alone," James said. James turned Sarah around and pushed her away. Sarah stumbled and fell to the ground. James helped Regine to her feet. "Are you okay?" he asked. Regine nodded. "I'm fine," she said. James looked down at Sarah. "Get out of here," he said. Sarah stood up and glared at James. "You'll regret this," she said. Then, Sarah turned and walked away. James turned to Regine. "I'm so sorry," he said. "I should have protected you better." "It's not your fault," Regine said. "She's a crazy person." James and Regine hugged each other tightly. They knew that they had to be careful. Sarah was a dangerous person, and she was determined to keep them apart. That night, Regine was walking home from the library when she heard a noise behind her. She turned around and saw Sarah standing there. Sarah was holding a knife. "I told you to stay away from James," Sarah said. Regine's heart started to race. She knew that she was in danger. "I love him," Regine said. "And I'm not going to let you keep us apart." Sarah smiled cruelly. "We'll see about that," she said. Sarah lunged at Regine with the knife. Regine screamed and tried to run away, but Sarah was too fast. Sarah grabbed Regine by the arm and held the knife to her throat. "Say goodbye to James," Sarah said. Regine closed her eyes and waited for the end. But the end never came. Suddenly, there was a loud noise and Sarah was thrown to the ground. Regine opened her eyes and saw James standing over Sarah. He was holding a baseball bat. "Are you okay?" James asked. Regine nodded. "I'm fine," she said. James helped Regine to her feet. He looked down at Sarah with anger in his eyes. "Get out of here," he said. "And never come back." Sarah stood up and glared at James and Regine. "You'll regret this," she said. Then, Sarah turned and ran away. James turned to Regine and hugged her tightly. "I love you," he said. "And I'll never let anything happen to you."
