Regine sat on the bench, crying. She didn't know where James was. And she didn't know if she would ever see him again. She thought about Sarah. She knew that Sarah was behind this. Sarah was the only person who had a motive to hurt James. Regine stood up and wiped her tears away. She had to find James. She had to save him. She looked around the park again. She saw a police officer walking by. She ran over to him and asked for help. The police officer listened to Regine's story and then nodded. "I'll send out a search party," he said. "We'll find your boyfriend." Regine thanked the police officer and then sat back down on the bench. She waited for the search party to arrive. But the minutes turned into hours, and the search party didn't arrive. Regine was starting to get impatient. She knew that every second counted. James could be in danger. She stood up and decided to take matters into her own hands. She started to walk home. She knew that Sarah lived in an apartment building nearby. She figured that Sarah might have taken James there. Regine walked as fast as she could. She was determined to find James. When she finally reached Sarah's apartment building, she took a deep breath. She knew that this was dangerous, but she didn't care. She had to save James. She walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. She waited for a few seconds, but no one answered. She rang the doorbell again. Still no answer. Regine took a step back and looked at the building. She saw a fire escape on the side. She decided to climb the fire escape and try to get into Sarah's apartment through the window. Regine climbed the fire escape and reached the second floor. She looked at Sarah's window and saw that it was unlocked. She opened the window and climbed inside. She found herself in Sarah's living room. She looked around, but she didn't see James. She walked into the bedroom. She saw James lying on the bed. He was unconscious. Regine ran over to James and shook him. "James!" she cried. "Wake up!" James slowly opened his eyes. "Regine?" he asked. "Yes," Regine said. "It's me." James smiled weakly. "I'm so glad to see you," he said. Regine helped James to his feet. "We have to get out of here," she said. James nodded. Regine and James walked back to the window and climbed out onto the fire escape. They climbed down the fire escape and reached the ground. They ran out of the apartment building and into the street. Regine looked around and saw the police car approaching. She waved her arms and shouted for help. The police car pulled over and the police officer got out. "Are you okay?" the police officer asked. Regine nodded. "Yes," she said. "But my boyfriend was kidnapped. He's in danger." The police officer looked at James. "Are you okay, son?" he asked. James nodded. "Yes," he said. "But we have to find Sarah." The police officer nodded. "We'll find her," he said. The police officer helped James into the police car and then turned to Regine. "Get in," he said. "We'll take you home." Regine got into the police car and they drove away. Regine was relieved that James was safe. But she knew that they weren't over the hump yet. Sarah was still out there, and she was still a danger to them. Regine took a deep breath and looked out the window. She knew that she and James had a long road ahead of them. But she also knew that they would make it through. They were in love, and love conquers all. Regine and James sat in the back of the police car, silent. They were both exhausted and traumatized by what had happened. Regine couldn't believe that Sarah had kidnapped James. She had thought that Sarah was just a crazy ex-girlfriend, but she was clearly much more than that. She was a dangerous criminal. Regine turned to James and looked at him. He was pale and still looked shaken. "Are you okay?" she asked. James nodded. "I'm fine," he said. "Just tired." Regine leaned over and kissed him on the forehead. "I love you," she said. James smiled weakly. "I love you too," he said. The police car pulled up in front of Regine's apartment building. "This is it," the police officer said. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" Regine nodded. "Yes," she said. "Thank you for your help." The police officer got out of the car and opened the back door. Regine and James got out. "Be careful," the police officer said. "We'll be in touch." Regine and James walked into the apartment building and took the elevator to Regine's apartment. When they got inside, Regine locked the door and leaned against it, breathing heavily. They were safe, for now. But Regine knew that Sarah was still out there. And she knew that Sarah would stop at nothing to get James back. Regine turned to James and looked at him. He was sitting on the couch, looking lost. "What are we going to do?" he asked. Regine shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "But we have to figure something out. We can't let Sarah get away with this." James nodded. "I know," he said. "But what?" Regine thought for a moment. "We need to find her," she said. "We need to stop her before she can hurt anyone else." James stood up. "I'm with you," he said. Regine and James hugged each other. They knew that they were in danger, but they also knew that they had to protect themselves and each other. They were in love, and they were not going to let Sarah come between them. Regine and James sat down on the couch and started to plan their next move. They knew that they were up against a dangerous opponent, but they were determined to win. They had to save themselves. And they had to save each other. "We need to find out where Sarah is," James said. "But how?" Regine thought for a moment. "Maybe we can talk to her friends or family," she said. "See if they know anything." James nodded. "That's a good idea," he said. Regine started to make a list of Sarah's friends and family members. She knew that it would be a long shot, but it was worth a try. Once she had finished the list, she handed it to James. "Can you start calling them?" she asked. James nodded and picked up his phone. He started dialing the first number on the list. Regine watched him for a moment. She was nervous. She hoped that they would get some information. But after a few minutes, James hung up the phone. "No luck," he said. "She's not answering." Regine sighed. "Okay," she said. "Let's try the next one." James dialed the next number on the list. Regine watched him anxiously. She hoped that this time they would be more successful. But after a few minutes, James hung up the phone again. "No luck," he said. "No one is answering." Regine started to feel discouraged. They were running out of options. "What are we going to do?" she asked. James shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "But we can't give up. We have to find Sarah." Regine nodded. "I know," she said. "But how?" Just then, Regine's phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Sarah. She answered the phone. "Hello?" she said. "Hello, Regine," Sarah said. "I'm so glad you finally answered." Regine's heart sank. Sarah knew where she was. "What do you want?" Regine asked. "I want James," Sarah said. "And I'm going to get him, whether you like it or not." Regine felt a wave of fear wash over her. She had to protect James. "You won't get away with this," she said. "Oh, but I will," Sarah said. "And there's nothing you can do to stop me." Sarah laughed maniacally and then hung up the phone. Regine looked at James, her eyes wide with fear. "She knows where we are," she said. James nodded. "I know," he said. "We have to get out of here." Regine and James jumped up from the couch and ran to the door. They opened it and rushed out of the apartment. They ran down the hallway and into the elevator. They pressed the button for the ground floor and waited. The elevator doors opened and Regine and James stepped inside. They pressed the button for the lobby and the doors closed. The elevator started to descend. Regine and James held their breath, waiting. The elevator doors opened and Regine and James stepped out into the lobby. They looked around, but they didn't see Sarah. They ran out of the lobby and into the street. They hailed a taxi and got in. "Where to?" the taxi driver asked. "Just drive," Regine said. The taxi driver started to drive. Regine and James looked out the window, scanning the street for Sarah. But they didn't see her. Regine leaned back in her seat and took a deep breath. She was safe, for now. But she knew that Sarah would be back. And next time, she might not be so lucky. Will Sarah be back? Will she be able to get her revenge on Regine and James?
