"Why can't I contact everyone? Shit! Did they abandon me already?" Jackson gritted his teeth. Jackson is currently in the interrogation room for questioning. He looked at his cell phone. Still no one called him. He has dialed his personal lawyer and all his friends and all the lawyers that he knows but to no avail. His eyes lit up when he remembered Jun. "Call Jun. He's my personal bodyguard," Jackson ordered the police who guard him. He immediately followed him. Jackson hit the table when Jun answered the call. "Finally! Someone answered!” he yelled. [“I am sorry, Sir Jackson. I have submitted my resignation letter. I am no longer connected to you.”] Jackson's nose snorted when Jun suddenly hung up. 'What's happening? Why have they all abandoned me?' he thought. "Later, the detective who will handle your case will come. Is there anything else you want to call? If no one wants to defend you in court, we can get you a public lawyer," suggested by the police. Jackson laughed out loud. "Are you mocking me? Do you not know me? I AM JACKSON GRAY! THE ONLY LEGITIMATE SON OF BILLIONAIRE JOHN VANDOLF GRAY!” His guttural cry came out. The policeman shook his head. "Are you always going to stick your name to your father's? How poor are you!" Jackson closed his eyes tightly while clenching his hands. His ears perked up at what he heard. He's smart without his father. He can close deals without his father. He has a name without his father. When he opened his eyes again, he immediately stood up and pushed the police guard with his body. The policeman was so shocked that he sat on the floor. "You are in a panic!" shouted by the policeman angrily. He was about to attack Jackson when Tamahome, the detective assigned to Jackson's case, suddenly arrived. "Ta...Tamahome, you're already here," the policeman said. Tamahome helped his co-worker to stand up. He patted him on his shoulder and signaled him to leave the interrogation room. "You should be thankful that Tamahome came because if not, maybe only your eye will be unscathed," the police said to Jackson before he finally left the room. "You are only brave because you have a gun and you are only fighting people who have handcuffs," Jackson whispered. Tamahome heard that. Tamahome put his gun down on the table and then walked over to where the CCTV was. He then changed the CCTV's direction before returning to where Jackson was. He took Jackson's handcuff key from his pocket and removed the handcuff from his hands. “I don't have a gun anymore. You don't even have handcuffs. We can fight each other now," Tamahome said in a low but firm voice. ~~~~ Jacob was watching the clouds without emotion when he felt Freya holding one of his hands. Although she did not speak, Jacob knew that his wife was worried about him. He turned to look at her. He smiled when he saw that her eyes were closed while her mouth was slightly open. "She still sleeps like that," Jacob said while laughing. He adjusted Freya's head. He was surprised when she suddenly lay on his shoulder. Now, he can see every part of her face more clearly. His eyes darted on her lips. He bit his lower lip when he felt the urge to kiss his wife...inside the plane. His whole body suddenly became numb when Freya kissed him on his lips, quickly. 'She's awake? She saw how I stared at her fúcking gorgeous face?' Jacob thought as he looked in the window. Freya was secretly happy with her husband's reaction. She saw how Jacob's cheeks turned red when she gave him a sudden smack kiss. She still didn't open her eyes. She suddenly felt sad when she remembered that everything she and Jacob had was just an agreement. She stopped in her thoughts when Jacob spoke again. "I can't believe that Jackson killed our parents, wife. He's too young. We're too young at that time.” Jacob knew that Freya was awake and could hear what he was saying even though she wasn't responding. "Soon, Jackson will be persecuted. It's too sad how his childhood...how his past dictates his present and his future. In the eyes of many people, he is almost perfect but in his eyes...I know he sees himself as a murderer. He labeled himself because of what happened. It's such a pity. I don't know but there is a part of me that feels sorry for him. All his life, he dedicated it to please our father...to please the elite. I don't even know if he was ever happy in his life. He may display a smiling face forever but his eyes and his heart cannot conceal what he really feels inside." Freya felt pissed off with Jacob so she removed her head from leaning on his shoulder as well as her grip on Jacob's hand. 'Why does he suddenly say those things? Is his half-blood brother more important to justice and our family? I don't understand him! Why did his heart suddenly soften to Jackson? Has something happened? His brother hasn't even been jailed yet, he's already making drama!' she thought in her mind. "Wife, what if..." Jacob took a deep breath. "What if Jackson is innocent? What if the culprit is someone else? Don't get mad at me. I'm just stating what's on my mind. Ever since I found out that Jackson killed our parents, I couldn't help but think about something. I mean, yes, he can make a fire but anyone can too! The distance between our kitchen and your house before isn't that much but isn't that close. Another thing, your entire house was destroyed by fire earlier than our house was. Isn't it odd?” Freya opened her eyes. Jacob's words made her think, but she still didn't feel any empathy for Jackson. "Until your brother is proven innocent, he will still be the main lead in the crime. Your father covered the case and fabricated some evidence. If he didn't do it, I may consider what you have said earlier. Let's make things clear, Jacob. WE ARE AFTER JACKSON. After your father's operation, I will go back to the Philippines. If you don't want to work with me anymore, I'm okay with it. I will still fight even if I am alone...for my mom and dad and what I will follow is the person behind Yael's disappearance." Freya got her shades on her bag and closed her eyes. Jacob grabbed Freya's hand but his wife took it away. "Wake me up when we reach the States. I want to sleep," Freya uttered. She opened her mouth a little. She pretended to be asleep. "I am sorry if I offended you, wife. What I have said earlier were merely some presumptions. I will not leave you alone in this battle...for my Mama Josie," Jacob said while taking off his coat. He put it on Freya's body before he completely closed his eyes. 'Jackson, I will talk to you when I go back. I want to hear your side of the story,' he thought.
