Chapter 80.1

Third-person POV
"Elyana is showing pre-eclampsia symptoms. She underwent a urine test a while ago and it has too much protein in it. Her blood pressure is too high at the moment. I'd been observing her recently and she was feeling the other symptoms. Aside from those, she was bleeding when she came here a while ago. I already gave her medicine to relieve those and she's under my observation," Doctor Chelsea informed him.
Felicity was the first person Chelsea told about her findings. Even Elyana still didn't know.
"What would happen to her and the baby if…if?" Felicity worriedly asked. He couldn't find the right word to complete his question, but she already understood what he wanted to imply.
"Most likely, she would give birth prematurely," Chelsea directly answered.
"So you're saying, she will give birth even though the baby is only six months old right now?" Felicity was quite confused at this moment.
"Yes. I might need to put her into an emergency delivery. The pain she's currently feeling right now is near labor pain," Chelsea answered.
"Oh gosh!" Felicity gasped. He already knew how painful that was. His older sister already gave birth twice and she bluntly described to him how painful she felt during the delivery.
"That's all I can share with you. I need to go back to Elyana to explain what is happening to her but wait, was the call last night real? She was feeling it?" the doctor said. She tried sorting things inside her head as to what she remembered from what Felicity told her on the phone.
"Oh, wait! Did you both—"
"Stop imagining things, Chelsea. That's not the right time for that," Felicity nagged as his face flushed red.
"I know, but I'm a doctor so I need information," she insisted.
Felicity rolled his eyes before being forced to tell what happened and he surprisingly saw disappointment in the doctor's face after she learned nothing happened to the two.
"Oh, what a waste," she muttered.
"What did you say?" Felicity asked after not hearing it.
"I said I should go," she lied and she immediately turned her back to him to go back to Elyana.
Felicity stayed where Chelsea left him. I am still trapped in countless thoughts that lead to fear. He felt weak on his knees, doubting if he could walk while in that state, but the thought that Elyana might need him at that time made him push himself to his limit.
He managed to go back to where he left his best friend. Chelsea was about to leave at this time and Elyana had already stopped crying. Although she only seemed well after the medicine given to her.
Felicity remained standing on the side of a metal pole where beds were lined up. All rooms were separated by thick curtains to give patients and medical assistants privacy.
While standing on that side, Felicity saw how Elyana gently caressed her stomach, and he heard her whisper, "Don't come out yet, sweetheart. Even though I'm too excited now to meet you, it's not the perfect time yet."
He was moved by what he witnessed. 'I will protect both of you, I promise,' he murmured before walking closer to Elyana to ask how she was feeling.
Elyana felt completely better as the hours passed. Her parents, however, refused to immediately send her home. They requested a private room for their daughter and allowed her to be discharged the next day.
She was given several new prescriptions. She was advised to change her diet, and since the day she was admitted to the hospital, all her movements in and out of the mansion have been monitored.
In her seventh month of pregnancy, things got more complicated, yet, Chelsea was certain that the child would not be born yet. However, two weeks before the baby turned eight months old inside, everyone in the mansion woke up to Elyana's agonizing scream.
Felicity was the first to hear because Elyana's room was directly across from the guest room where he was sleeping. He bolted, terrified. He immediately thought that something bad had happened.
"F-Felicity," Elyana called his name softly when the door to her room suddenly opened.
She writhed in agony. Elyana had no idea where to hold it, whether in his stomach or hip because the pain she was experiencing seemed to be spinning.
Felicity didn't think twice and lifted her from the bed. He did not ask any more questions after seeing Elyana's expression. It also did not matter how heavy she was or how much pain his back would get later
On the stairs, he ran into the reluctant servants. Their eyes were equally wide while witnessing how the gay matchmaker carried their boss into his arms.
"Ma'am Felicity is so strong," one of them uttered.
"Am I dreaming? Why did Ma'am Felicity seem straight right now?" another one of them asked.
"Get my keys!" Felicity shouted at them. They completely woke up to Felicity's loudness. Daldalita was the first to run upstairs to get the key inside Felicity's bag, just as he ordered.
"I-It hurts..." Elyana uttered. Her one arm was wrapped around Felicity's neck. Her hand was right on his back and moved lower. She pulled Felicity's skin right after feeling extreme pain.
They were right on the last step of the stairs when it happened. Felicity was already panting and sweating because Elyana was quite heavy. He nearly screamed when he felt it, but realizing how much pain Elyana had been feeling at that time gave him no right to complain.
He continued his phase and reached the garage. "Where is my key?!" Felicity asked loudly to make sure the servants behind them heard him.
