Third-person POV Felicity was still in the middle of his heartfelt prayer when his phone suddenly rang. It was her mother calling after she received the text message about what happened. "I-I was in the middle of sleep and dreaming about your father when I suddenly woke up and saw your message," Eugene nervously stated. "What is the update now? How are they?" Eugene asked with a sense of bewilderment. Somebody was coming his way; that was why Felicity immediately wiped his tears. "Elyana is already inside. They will start her emergency C-section in any minute," he answered after clearing his throat. "I will wake up your sister. I'm going there," Eugene announced, but Felicity stopped her. "Just come here tomorrow, Mom. It's late and we all need sleep. Elyana might need people to look after her tomorrow because I have work to do at the office," he said, feeling frustrated about those pending works. "If that's what you want," Eugene replied. Although she could feel how much Felicity's heart was breaking, she wanted to go to be there for him, but because he already insisted, she wouldn't. Besides, he was right; Elyana might need people to watch for her in the morning. "I'm scared," Felicity uttered. New tears formed at the corners of his eyes. "I can come there if you need company," Eugene told him gently, knowing that even if Felicity did not express her feelings, her mother could sense her fear. She got no response. All she heard was the youngest son's deep sigh on the other line. She decided to go to the hospital even though he told her not to because he was alone and had no idea what to do in such a situation. While Eugene was on her way, Doctor Chelsea emerged from the operating room after more than an hour and a half inside. Felicity immediately approached her to inquire about an update. "How are they, Chelsea?" he asked. Chelsea removed the surgical mask she was wearing, and she stopped and halted right in front of him. "They are both fine. Your baby is strong; he has his mother's courage. However, because he is less than nine months old, he will be in the incubator." Felicity couldn't help but feel emotional upon hearing the news. He was overjoyed to the point where no words could express how much happiness he was feeling at that time. "They will bring the baby to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, and the baby and Elyana will be directly taken to the private room they prepared for her," the doctor added. She was about to leave when she suddenly turned back at Felicity again. She forgot to say something, and that was the most perfect time to say it to him, "By the way, congratulations. You're officially a father now." "Thank you." Felicity smiled. He was thankful for the greeting and for what she did to make sure Elyana and the child would be safe. He even grabbed her hand and held it tight to show how grateful he was for her. The tears in his eyes became a sign of how much. "You're welcome, Bakla!" she replied before the exhausted doctor completely left him. While standing in the waiting area, Felicity's attention got caught when the huge two doors of the operating room opened. He saw two nurses pushing the wheeled bed, and a patient was lying down asleep. It was Elyana. He moved to the side to give them away. His heart was pounding. Not because he was still frightened, he was proud of her. After Elyana, another nurse was pushing a baby trolley. Felicity caught a glimpse of the child, who seemed to be sleeping soundly on it. He froze, and his pounding heart pounded more. He did not think that he would feel that kind of happiness when he saw the result of what he did. He wanted to block the way and look at the child closely, but his feet wouldn't move. He only satisfied his eyes by following the trolley with his cute baby boy. When the trolley was out of his sight, he was finally able to move his feet. He took that chance to chase his baby, but the nurse had already pushed the trolley inside a room where entering was forbidden. Felicity had no choice but to watch his son through the glass barrier while being transferred to an incubator by the nurse. "My boy..." Felicity uttered, tears rolling down his cheeks. He quickly wiped away those tears of joy out of fear that someone would see him. He went to the private room where Elyana was taken right after he got content staring at his son. Elyana was on the bed, sleeping soundly. He called the servants waiting in the lobby to tell them to which room they should go. While waiting for them, he walked closer. "I'm happy both of you are safe," he whispered and added, "Chelsea said it seemed he inherited his mother's fighting spirit, and I agreed to that. I know how courageous you are, and you also proved that again." He smiled when he remembered how cute their son was. He paused for a moment to look at Elyana's face, trying to find the resemblances their baby got from her, and realized the baby inherited so much more from him than his mother. Felicity smiled with that thought, but that smile also faded when he remembered he had a lie he was still keeping until that time. "It's a good thing he inherited your courage; if it were from me, he'd be a coward. Until now, I haven't been able to tell you what I did, and seeing the baby a while ago, I didn't regret what I did that day." He took advantage of the fact that she was still asleep. She wouldn't be hearing everything, and because of the medicine that was given to her, she would stay sleeping, probably until the sun went up. Eugene came and ran into the newborn intensive care unit right after checking on Elyana inside the private room. She was delighted to see the child, whom she confirmed had a lot of resemblances to his father.
