I was busy reading some papers in my office when I suddenly the office telephone ring and someone spoke from the internet protocol phone. I stop from my track when the office door sang open and reveal the person who wants to talk to me at this moment.
“ Lewis Vuitton is with his secretary are here. “ She said as the internet protocol phone ended its voice mail.
“ What can I help you? “
I asked formally.
The man who wears a business suit, the man that I encountered a while ago with the girl I help with the papers, are here at the office just to meet me. I smiled sweetly and stand up.
“ Take a seat. “
I said, and walk towards them.
I walked back to my office desk and grab my phone with me as I walk towards their direction and sat on the couch cross the couch that they are seating.
“ GoodMorning El, it's nice finally meeting you. I'm here to announce that I would like to pull out my investment in your company. “ He said and handed me the paper of agreement.
I looked at it and read the content without hesitation I signed it with my signature and stand up. The secretary he was with grab the paper and I looked at my paper, the copy of the agreement, and said.
“ You may take your leave. “ I uttered.
The secretary was busy putting the papers to the bag she is holding while Mr. Lewis said.
“ I'm not getting rude, El. I'm just being wise. “ He said as a mocking smile appeared on his lips.
“ Really? Good for you, then. “ I replied.
“ I don't know what is your capabilities is, but I know you can be greater than your late father Henderson in running a business. “ He replied.
“ Don't underestimate me so easily just because my father died, and I'm the new CEO. As you said, Mr. Lewis Vuitton, you don't know my capabilities is. When you will know about it, I hope you feel great. “ I sarcastically said!
I looked at him blankly and said.
Without saying goodbye they went out of the office, so I walked towards the internet protocol phone and press the turn on bottom and speak.
“ Attention all Employees, proceed to the assembly hall. Again Attention all employees proceed to the assembly hall NOW! “ I said and walk out on my office.
I enter the assembly hall after an hour or walking while my mind is blank because of what happened. When I enter the hall, all the employees from manager until supervisor departments are all here. The room was filled with silence. I cleared my throat to get attention. I sit on the chair In front of all them and said.
“ You all know that I'm the new CEO of this company, right? I'm here to announce my own rules and regulations will implement during my reign. “ I said.
“ √ Respect other, so they will respect you.
√ Don't be late and be on time.
√ Late comers are absent in a day of work.
√ Be friendly and don't too focus on work.
√ Uniform is a must for the employees, while I can wear what I want.
√ Call me in my internet protocol phone regarding on any unwanted visitor or guests that want to meet me or talk to me.
√ Do not let any person go inside my office without my permission. I know I'm the new CEO, and I'm still learning on managing the company, so I'm hoping there's no fake news or rumors I've heard outside the building regarding on me. “ I added.
They all nodded their head as they agree. I dailed attorney Jonathan's number, after a couple of rings he answered the call.
“ Hey wazzap? “ He said.
“ When are you coming back? “ I asked.
“ Aw, you miss me that much honey? “ He asked me back.
“ What no, I need you now because a business partner pulled out their investment in my company! “ I shouted.
The whole room was filled with silence, only my anger will be seen. The tension built up,, but it was interpreted by the manager.
“ Miss El, do you want to take a live? You can, I can sense that you were in a bad mood now. I will let Venice handle your works for days. “ She offered.
I exhausted right now, I looked at her and take a deep breath and said.
“ Sure will do, I'll be back after 3 days. “ I uttered.
“ I'll leave it to your care. “ I added as I pat Ms. Jackie's shoulder and walk out towards the assembly hall.
I went out of the building. I already wear the dress that Venice buy, and I'm already clean and fresh. It's still 12:51 in the afternoon,, so I decided to go to Ralph hotel to stay.
On my way driving to the hotel, my phone suddenly vibrate as it appear a callers ID.
BFF : Ralph calling …
I swiped and loud speak it.
“ Hey. “
I said while focusing on driving while I listen to Ralph in the other line.
“ Where are you? “ I asked him.
“ I'm at the hotel? Why? “ He replied.
“ Ready some beer, I'm coming over also I'm on my way to the hotel. “ I said as I end up the call and I speed driving the car.
After an hour of driving, I already saw the entrance building of the hotel. I park the car and hurriedly went inside.
I walked towards the elevator and went in. Furthermore, I was waiting for the elevator to closed when I saw Amelia and her Mom walked towards the elevator and saw me.
“ Mel! “ I called her name.
“ Ate El! “
She shouted and run towards me.
“ Where have you been? I was looking for you,, but your mom always say that you are in a trip. “ She asked as she looked down at his hands and play it.
“ Hey, I'm sorry. I've been staying in this hotel for a main time. Come, I'll make it up to you! Want to meet my best friend? He's the owner of this hotel. By the way, what are you doing here Mel? “ I responded as I looked up to her mother, who is already inside the elevator with us.
Amelia didn't response,, but she insisted to hug me and I hug her back.
“ We actually here to visit you, we're on our way to your room, good thing you're here. “
Ms. Alyssa said as she smiled at me.
I smiled back then I heard the elevator's ting a signed that we already reach the curtain floor which is the VIP second floor where my room and Ralph's room is located.
I walked towards my room and I can sense that Ms. Alyssa and Amelia followed me from behind.  It's been a long time since someone visit me saying that she missed me.
I type my passcode of my room in the screen scanner then it automatically scanned my thumb finger and the plain screen scanner turned color green means that it unlocked the door, and it opens.
Amelia run inside my room and went to the couch. When she reaches there, she jumped into the couch and smiled at me happily. I wouldn't help to laugh on her reaction, then jump again as she run towards the kitchen. Ms Alyssa, Amelia's mom, apologized in advance because of Amelia's behavior. I just smiled and wave my hand that it's fine with me.
“ Amelia, don't run. Whee, are you doing? “ Ms Alyssa shouted.
“ I'm looking for a cookies' mom! “ Mel shouted back.
“ Mel come back there, there are no cookies in the ref, but I can make one just for you. “ I said as saw Amelia smiling widely from ear to ear because if the happiness and excitement .
I also asked Amelia to bake the cookies with me, and it's fun and I feel overwhelmed because of Amelia and Ms Alyssa come over just to see me.
Around 6:30 in the evening, I decided to cook for a dinner and invite Ms. Alyssa and Amelia to eat with me. I made an adobo and Chicken Curry as a dinner, then I also made juice and bake a cookie for Amelia.
I stand up from sitting and get the plates while Ms Alyssa decided to help me clean the house
“ Thanks for coming over Ms Alyssa. “ I uttered as I wash the plates we used.
As Alyssa is just tarung at me and watching me. She was suddenly grab and hug me and whispered.
“ Thanks to you, Amelia is a silent and shy girl but when she meet you, she changed a lot for her personality and behavior. She become sweet towards me, and she talk about you most of the time. “
“ Your welcome Ms Alyssa, I can see my reflection as a young girl just like Amelia also it's nice knowing her changes, and she is not shy enough to approach the kids she wanted to play with. “ I replied and smiled at her.
I saw Ms Alyssa having a teary eye and attempted to control her emotions. I saw how happy she is for her daughter. She wiped her tears and smiled again at me and say.
On the way to this hotel where you are staying. She always asked me if we can come over often. Because she wanted to play with you and talk to you all day. She also asked if I can let her sleep over with you.
“ It's fine with me. Ms. Alyssa, Also I'm alone in my room and my best friend is busy doing his job as the hotel CEO and managing his business. "I said.
After done washing the plates. I heard the television show from here. And Amelia is laughing because of the show she watches.
I walked towards the Sala and Ms Alyssa followed me as she grab her bag and called Amelia's busy attention watching an on the TV.
“ Amelia! It's go home, your father is waiting for us at home. “ She said as she looked on her phone, probably she received a text from her husband.
I saw Amelia pout and turned off the TV after. She run towards me and hug me. I smiled on her sudden reaction.
“ Can I over again and sleep with you Ate El? “ She said as she endeavored to looked cute as she asked me.
“ Sure Mel. Your mom will text me if she drops you here, then I'll cook you a lot of cookies and teach you to cook too! “ I replied and pat her head.
She jumped up and down because of excitement. She smiled from ear to ear showing how excited as she is again in the next day she will come and visit me.
“ Yey, thanks ate. “ She replied and kiss my cheeks after.
I wave my hand and said.
“ Goodbye Ms. Alyssa, Goodbye Mel! “ I said as they walked towards the door and exited.

After an hour of being alone again, I decided to go in Ralph's room. I was looking for Ralph,, but he wasn't in his room. He still probably in his office at this time, continuing doing his job when I can do mine.
I went to his office and saw him there sleeping. I get out of the office when went back to his room to grab a blanket, a coffee in a mug also the coffee maker with the note on it.
After I put it on his table, he is still in a deep slumber. I guess at around midnight, he will wake up and do the paperwork again. This man is so workaholic than me. The prioritise the business than spending time with me always at the bars like I always do.
I closed the office door and went to his room. I looked at his ref and saw a bottle of wine in there. I grab and open it and poured the wine into the wine glass when I heard the doorbell rang in Ralph's room. I feel so dizzy because of the alcohol tolerance I've been feeling.  I manage to open the door but instead of a person I saw, I was disappointed when there's none. My gaze went to the floor and saw a bouquet of rose flowers with my name on it and a letter.
I grab it from the floor and closed the door,
I'm still wearing the dress that I wear to work. I was so lazy to go to my room and change. I put the flowers with a letter on it in Ralph table. Furthermore, I sit down, open to another bottle of wine. Ralph is already asleep on his room without saying anything. I end up getting lonely drinking alone and thinking some of my problems which is how could I manage to do my job as a CEO? And prove myself that I'm better than my father.
I drink another shot of wine when my phone started vibrating and a message pop up out of nowhere. It's from Ash Ron. It's been a long time since I last saw him. He seems so busy on his work as do I.

Great, it's a tiring day, isn't it?
Yep, it's stressing me out.
I sent my message and drink another shot before my bottle of wine become empty as I manage to drink all of them without anyone's accompany.
After a minute, my phone vibrates again and a message appeared on my screen.

When I read his text, I can't help but to spill the wine on my mouth that I was about to drink. Now Ralph's precious carpet are presently wet. Big thanks to Ash, Ron. I stand up from sitting in the carpet and grab my phone with me. I decided to reply before walked out in the room. Not only that, but I also bring the bouquet of roses and the letter with me as I went out of Ralph's apartment and lock the door. And open my room door as I enter and went to the Cr to take a bath. I already put the flowers in my vase in the dining area and I'm still holding the letter without opening it. I feel relief and relaxed after a tiring day and overthinking everything.
I don't want to fail my father on running the business alone with anyone's help. I'm just frustrated because attorney was nowhere to be found in the time I needed his help. I hope I can do my responsibilities when I being a businesswoman is not what I dreamed to be.
