Chapter fifty

I dumped the pillow and duvet right on top of him and headed for the bathroom.
Once I was done bathing I felt as good as new. Cold water really helps the body a lot.
Gregory dashed passed me and entered the bathroom, almost knocking off the towel from my body.
"What is wrong with you?!" I screamed at him.
"I am going to be first to use the bathroom. Haha! In ya face!" he shouted from within the bathroom.
Apparently, he doesn't just act like a child, he has the brain of one too.
Gregory came out of the bathroom later on, wiping his face with a towel and had a different towel wrapped round his waist.
When he saw me he made a questioning face.
"How come you're wearing clothes?" he asked me.
"Excuse me?" I said.
"You were wearing a towel before." he stated.
"And so?" I asked.
"Well... Now you're wearing clothes. New clothes. And you haven't taken your bath." he replied.
Oh God. Someone save some from this... Ugh! It's so obvious he just inherited daddy's company because I don't believe someone with such a brain could achieve half this much in life.
"I have." I simply stated.
"When?" he asked.
"Right before you were able to wake up." I answered.
"No way. That couldn't be. I... Oh... Right... I saw you wrapped in a towel." Gregory said, realizing his mistake.
"Oops. Sorry." he added.
I just walked out of the room to the living room in order to calm my head.
Few minutes later, Gregory popped up.
"So... Wanna watch tv?" he asked me.
"Do whatever you want." I replied and he immediately grabbed the remote from beside me, where it was, and switched on the tv.
I had my arms folded as I watched him changing channels.
And guess what he finally settled on? Barney and friends! That show is so old and was meant for kids. Why would a fully grown up man want to watch Barney and friends of all things?
What happened to the usual news, sports, or even documentaries of some sort?
I wanted to get up but I quickly changed my mind in order not to bring up a moment for him to start questioning.
"How do you like it?" Gregory asked.
I couldn't even believe that Gregory would actually dare to ask me such a question but I answered him anyways.
"No." I said in reply.
Gregory's facial expression changed from a happy one to a sad one. I just kept quiet and tried to pretend he wasn't there.
At the end of the show, Gregory got up and left. Like, left the house.
I got curious and wanted to know what he was going to do but I had a bit of pride at the moment and couldn't question him about his action.
So, after Gregory left, I waited till he got at a distance and then I followed him.
It surprised me that he chose to walk even when he had cars parked everywhere. However, I kept following until he came to an abrupt stop, looked left and right, then cornered into an alley.
Things got creepy for me and I was about to turn around and return to where I came from but I stopped.
Something urged me on to follow him into that dark alley.
What if it was dangerous? What if there were evil people lurking about there? Ever since I was a child I remember having that fear for dark alleys. I don't know why. I just feared alleys.
But this time I didn't run away like before. I followed my instinct and went same way I saw Gregory follow.
Surprisingly, to me, it wasn't really that bad in the alley. It's just a normal alley.
But now there was a problem. I had already lost sight of Gregory. Not just that but also, there was nowhere Gregory could have gone to after cornering to the alley.
Everywhere else was blocked and there was only one way out and that was the way I came in.
Where did Gregory go? I didn't see him come out of the alley.
When I was about to leave, a rat ran passed me and I almost screeched aloud.
I watched the rat as it entered a hole in a wall. I noticed that it wasn't just a hole ar the bottom but turns out that there was a long line of a crack in the shape of a door.
I moved closer to it and felt it with my hands. I then gave a light push and it shifted.
I pushed continuously but tried my best to keep it silent. When I finally made it wide enough for me to be able to pass, I stopped and then went in.
I walked only for some seconds before I found a door.
I opened it slightly and peeped through it. There was nobody. I went passed that door as well and walked in the one way path with nothing but walls at either side of me.
I reached another door but before even opening it I heard voices.
I then opened it very slowly and only a bit space, just enough for me to see what was happening.
What I saw with my own eyes shocked me. I could feel my jaw itself, drop to the ground.
What?!
At the other side of the door I had just opened, was a small room. And in that small room there sat on a round table, Gregory and Kira.
Kira herself was holding up a pocket watch and swinging it at Gregory's face while he repeated her words.
I've seen this in movies before. Right now... Kira was hypnotizing Gregory.
"You are in love with Kira... You are in love with Kira... You will behave like a disgusting little brat in front of her eyes only..." Kira was saying.
"Yes... Master..." Gregory replied.
I couldn't belief what I was hearing.
So... She wasn't really in any relationship with any of those men she made me marry? She just took random men and hypnotise them?
