I staggered back and the door I had only opened slightly and was peeping through made a screeching sound.
"Who's there?!" I heard Kira's voice shout.
I panicked and began to run back as fast as I could. I didn't even look back out of fear that it would most likely slow me down.
Finally, I got out and closed the wall. I continued running till I was back at Gregory's place.
When I got in I slammed the door shut behind me and started to breathe heavily.
I was shocked at what I saw and tired from running such a distance without rest. I just hope that Kendra hadn't seen me at all if not... I have no clue what step she is going to take against it.
My heart was pounding so fast as I went upstairs to my room. I paced to and fro in the room as I tried to think things through.
So now... All those men she got me married to were just strangers that she hypnotized herself?
And by the way I saw that she still had to go ahead in hypnotizing Gregory that could only mean one thing, which is that the hypnotic spells of hers on the men is temporary and needs to keep being renewed if not... they'd forget the past? I guess.
Oh my oh my! This is really a serious problem. It's a very serious case. Isn't what Kira is doing a crime? Mind control.
I think I'll have to leave this place as soon as possible.
I rushed to my closet and started to pack my things. When I was finally done, I took my luggage and went down the stairs and towards the door.
I stretched forth my hand to open the door but it ended up opening on its own.
To my horror, it was Kira and Gregory standing before me. They started to walk forward while I moved backwards slowly.
They stopped once they were fully inside and I stopped moving backwards.
Kira looked around the house, only rotating her eyeballs when she was done.
"So... Where do you think you were running off to sister?" Kira asked.
"That's none of your business you heartless soul." I replied Kira.
"Don't talk to madam that way." Gregory said to me.
I felt so sorry for him. So all this while he only behaved the way he did because he was being controlled to do so.
"Better you listen to your umm. 'Current' husband Kendra." Kira told me, laying emphasis on the word current.
"So you found out my little secret right?" Kira asked a rhetorical question as she started to walk circles around me.
"You are such an evil person! How could you do this to innocent people you have never even met?! What did they ever do to you that you should hypnotize these men into marrying me?!" I yelled at her.
"Haha haha haha!" Kira laughed maniacally.
"You really think I give a shit what happens to others? No Kendra! I don't! And while you go through the stress of marrying them and sitting at home doing nothing, I, on the other hand, receive more and more money into my account from them." Kira confessed.
"Why are you so full of hate?" I asked her.
Before I knew what was going on, I received a resounding slap across the cheek.
I held on to my cheek with my palm as I looked straight at her face.
"Never open your filthy mouth to ask me such a stupid question you fool. Asks your parents what sort of torture that they put me through every single day since when they adopted me and forced me to live your life!" Kira yelled at my face.
"What happened to you was done by my parents and not me. So why are you after me instead of them?" I questioned Kira.
"Because I know you are daddy's and mommy's little girl. If I harm you , it is same as hurting them too but even worse because you are their daughter. What harm do you think I can directly cause to two powerful billionaires without getting caught? I just decided to take the weak one." Kira said to me.
"That is where you have gotten it all wrong. My parents don't care about me in the least. All they care about is their reputation and the name they built for themselves. They had shown me their true colours already." I replied.
"Shut up fool! Do you think I am really that stupid?" Kira asked, rhetorically.
"It's nothing but the truth!" I yelled at Kira and immediately felt another hot slap on my face.
Tears came down my eyes this time.
"I told you to shut up! What do you take me for?!" Kira screamed again.
I looked straight into Kira's eyes with angry tears flowing down my eyes.
"I don't care anymore. I refuse to remain a victim of your evil deeds. And as for my parents, they are free to do whatever they want with me. They can track me down and kill me if they wish but I refuse to partake in this again." I declared and grabbed hold of my luggage then walked passed Kira.
"Do you really think it would be that easy? Fine. If you won't do it willingly then I'm afraid I have to force you." Kira said, hr back still turned away from me since I walked passed her.
Kira snapped her fingers and Gregory grabbed hold of me. Even my arms were not free as he held on tightly around my body.
"Now why don't we pay your parents a little visit? Huh? What do you say?" Kira asked and opened the front door then stepped out. Gregory also stepped out but didn't let go of me while he did so.
Kira got into the back seat of Gregory's car with a key she had and ordered Gregory to put me into the same place with herself of which Gregory obeyed and shut the door.
Gregory went to the driver's seat and started the car. In just a few seconds, we were already on our way to my parent's mansion.
