Homepage/Married To More Men Than Usual/
Chapter sixty two
I turned and saw the dismantled looks on Mr and Mrs Donaldson's faces as some men approached them from behind.
"And finally today she is free because these people will be going behind bars!" Richard shouted and waved his hands as if signalling for something.
"Ahhhhh! Let go! I said release me! Now!" I heard Kira's voice.
I looked to the the direction from which her voice came and as I had thought, Kira was the one.
Two men had grabbed her from each side and the scarf she had on fell off.
Everyone around gasped as they saw the resemblance between the two of us.
"Take them away." Richard told the men.
His words were immediately being obeyed when Mr and Mrs Donaldson suddenly spoke up.
"You can't do this to us!" Mrs Donaldson said.
"We will call our lawyer and you'll be sorry by the time we get out of this!" Mr Donaldson yelled but Richard ignored them.
"Trust me, with all the evidence I have, your lawyer doesn't need to speak a word. You'll all be sentenced." Richard said.
I stood there in amazement as Mr and Mrs Donaldson got dragged out of the wedding venue.
I just couldn't believe this was happening to me. It can't be. I... I'm finally free. I'm free!
Where did this Richard guy come from?
I looked around for him because he was no longer standing in an open space then I spotted him talking to some men about something.
Richard saw me then excused himself from their presence and walked towards me. When he got close enough I gave him a big hug and cried.
"Thank you sir. You have no idea what you have just done for me. Thank you so so much." I said.
Richard pulled me away from himself and looked deeply into my eyes. Only then did I know who he was.
"Kris?..." I said, almost in a whisper.
"I told you before that... Everything will soon be back to normal. Except your parents will be living in jail." Kris said and laughed then pulled off the mask he had on his face.
"Kris!" I screamed and jumped on him with a hugged and kissed him.
I stopped, surprised that I actually did that and saw that his eyes were widened in surprise and his face was all red.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"For what?" he asked with a flirty look on his face.
"Stop it." I said and pushed his face away then tried walking off but he pulled me back.
"Come here you." he said and kissed me.
"Sir." a man said and we both turned to him.
"Sorry to interrupt the..." the man said and coughed.
"reunion." he completed.
"But we have to go right now." the man added.
"Okay. I'll be right there." Kris replied to the man and the man left.
"Duty calls." Kris said.
"I don't understand. How did you even manage to pull this off?" I asked.
"I'm a detective with many connections. Also, when you do good to others it returns to you. I have helped a lot of people and they did not hesitate in returning the favour." Kris answered.
"I love you." I said to Kris.
"And I love you too. Don't worry. We will have a real wedding with your real name once this is all over." Kris said and went after the man that had called him.
I am so happy. Today it's all finally over. I... I have to see my daughter now. I can see her now can't I?
I rushed out of the wedding venue and only remembered I was still in my wedding gown when I had already entered the cab.
Who cares? I just want to hold my daughter once more.
I arrived at Charles' mansion and knocked on the door.
The door was opened by Charles himself and his face looked remorseful as he saw that it was me.
I noticed a little girl standing next to him. I knew it was my daughter. She could walk already. Tears fell down my eyes as I ignored Charles and reached out to my daughter.
She walked a few inches forward into my arms and I carried her into a hug. I can't believe she...
I started to cry again.
"I saw all that happened in the news. I knew you would come here for Mirabella." Charles said.
I looked at him. News?
I was so deep into everything that I didn't even notice the presence of the press at the venue.
It's no wonder that Charles wasn't surprised to see me in a wedding gown in front of his mansion.
"I... I want to apologize for everything. I didn't know that all that happened was being caused by a lookalike and your parents." Charles said.
"I mean, I hated you so much and it was all for nothing. I wondered what kind of mother would not want custody of her own child. I'm sorry for everything." Charles said.
I hugged him while still holding my daughter.
"It's not your fault. I forgive you." I said and parted from the hug.
"Thank you." Charles replied and smiled.
"And... I'm will to give you back custody of Mirabella if you want." Charles added.
"Actually, we can share custody of her." I said.
"Someone is here for you." Charles said.
"Hm?" I turned and saw that Kris had just parked his car outside the open gates of the mansion.
He came out and started walking towards I and Charles. I quickly said goodbye to Charles, handed him Mirabella, since she was still under his custody, and went straight to Kris.
"Well, how are you doing madam?" Kris asked.
"Great. What are you doing here?" I asked Kris.
"Nothing. I just saw you rush into a cab and decided to follow you just incase." Kris said.
"Okay. You can drop me home right?" I asked him.
"Sure." he replied and we both entered his car.
Kris looked uneasy as he drove.
"So... You were there to see your daughter right? How did it go?" Kris asked me.
"It went quite well. I just wanted to hold my daughter again and Charles was so kind enough to let me do so." I answered.
Kris breathed out as if in relief and focused on driving.
