Chapter sixty four
#####64
She came out once again and looked around but also making sure not to reveal her face to me.
She stretched her hand to open the door and I immediately flung the door open which actually seemed to have caught her off guard.
She quickly calmed down when she saw it was just me and turned her face to a sad one.
I looked at her awkwardly. I had no idea who this woman was.
"Hello..." she said, letting her voice fade.
"Why have you been knocking and hiding? Do you think this is the right place to play pranks?" I questioned her.
The lady started to cry.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted to know how the owners of this place behaved. I need help. My sister..." The lady said, through tears.
I felt bad for talking to her that way and I put my hand on her shoulder.
"Come on. Tell me what happened." I said, softly.
"Her leg got caught under a bin that had fallen from nowhere." the lady replied.
"Huh? Where is she? How did it happen?" I asked.
"I have no idea how it happened. Please help my sister." the lady begged, crying even more.
"Okay. Show me the way." I said, not having a clue in mind of what to do next.
I think I'll just call Kris if the situation is out of my hands.
I and the strange lady walked for some time till we reached an alley. We went in and it was a bit dark despite the day time.
I looked around and didn't find anyone else there.
"Are you sure this is the right place? There is no one here." I said to the lady.
She turned to me then wiped away her tears.
"I'm sorry. I... I just had to. I needed the money." the lady said.
"Needed to what? And which money are you talking about?" I asked, feeling a rush of nervousness.
"Good job." I heard someone speak from behind me. I knew it was Kira, I can never be mistaken.
I turned round and faced her and there she was, scattered hair and a ruined makeup which made her look like she had just wasted herself away in a night club and slept in a trash bin.
"What are you doing here? Are you not supposed to be in prison right now?" I questioned.
The lady that led me there walked passed me and straight to Kira.
"There, I've done as you asked. Can I get the pay now?" she asked Kira.
"But of course you can." Kira said with a sly voice.
The lady brought for her hand to collect the money and Kira gave her a small bag.
The lady opened it and at that instant, a snake sprung at the lady's face and held tight to her neck with its fangs.
I screamed loudly and tried to run away but the road was narrow and Kira had my way blocked.she grabbed hold of my hand and started to drag me along but I resisted.
I felt a strong and painful hit on the back of my head and I collapsed right there and then.
When I opened my eyes I found myself in a dark room with just a small window as a source of light.
I blinked some more just to clear my eyes a bit and then finally I could see everything clearly.
I tried to stand up but got pulled down, failing to even move an inch. I was tied to a chair very tightly and I could easily feel the marks it left on my skin.
It hurt badly but I couldn't even stay in any position that would make it less of a pain.
I suddenly remembered all what had happened to me before I found myself here.
Kira had just kidnapped me.
"Help! Somebody help me!" I screamed out my lungs.
I screamed and screamed but no one came for me. I stopped and took deep breathes then I felt my throat drying up.
I needed water badly and the shouting only made it worse.
I heard a creaking noise and I looked to the direction. A door was opening and through it walked Kira.
"You." I said, feeling weakened.
The ropes were too tight and I was struggling for air. I now regret that I screamed that much.
Kira walked forward and took a good look at me then started to slowly walk circles around me.
"Help!" I shouted after realizing she had left the door from which she came in open. I hoped that this time someone would hear me and I endured the pains caused by the tight rope.
"Haha haha, go ahead and scream Kendra. There's no one around to hear you. Nobody is coming for you." Kira said.
"I hate you." I said to her.
"Oh wow. It's funny... " Kira said and paused. She was standing right in front of me then held up my chin with the side of her index finger.
"I've been hearing that a lot lately." Kira added, pinched me on the chin and dragged it aside.
"You won't get away with this. Kris is going to..." I said.
"Kris is going to what?!" Kira interrupted.
"Huh? Tell me!" Kira screamed at me, already bent over me and squeezing the chair.
"I thought as much." she said, with a smirk on her face and standing up straight.
"There is nothing that your little Kris can ever do to save you." Kira added.
"What do you even want from me?" I asked.
"Nothing. I just want you to suffer! I want you to suffer as much as I did." Kira said.
"But why? I didn't even do anything." I said, trying my best to control my tears from falling.
"What other reason will there by except that I want to see you suffer?" Kira replied.
"But why?! What did I ever do to you?!" I cried out.
"Do I have to keep answering the same questions over and over again?!" Kira shouted. Download Novelah App
