Chapter 25 False Assumptions
Jeff Carlton's face turned into a frowned when he saw the luxury sports car parked in front of the Younas' residence.
He couldn't believe that the Young lady thought about exposing herself in that way. Isn't she thinking good enough? It's a freaking Luxury car that worth bunch of money and she's displaying it like it was just a taxi?
From there, a man who accompany her the whole day, got off the car and turn to open the door for her.
After few more talking, she walks towards the gate. The car took off when the lady got inside of the house.
Jeff also parked his car on the garage. After a whole day of following her everywhere she goes, this is the first time he felt tired after a long while.
He decided to take a shower but thinks about calling his first.
"The lady purchased a car today."
"A car? Why would she purchase a car? She didn't even have a driver's license." The First Madam's voice really sound so confused.
"She was with her assistant who do all the jobs for her." He answered. "She even purchased a penthouse unit at the Capital."
"A penthouse?"
"Yeah. But nobody knows it was under her name. Her assistant know how to pull some strings."
"I can't understand why she had to purchase a unit."
"The Young lady knows how to spend money well, First Madam. In just few hours, she spent two hundred million dollars alone."
He heard the woman grinning on the other side of the line.
"Keep a closer look on her."
"I will. " Then the woman hunged up.
Jeff put down his phone on the bed and go straight to the bathroom.
----------
Felix gaze wondered through the glass wall. The darkness of the night evoked the beauty of the bewildering twinkles of lights throughout the city.
He was standing behind the glass wall taking a good look on what hemis eyes could see down out there.
The sound of his phone ringing bring him back to his senses.
It was his secretary.
"The bank just called. The young lady spent over two hundred million dollars through the card."
He heaved a sigh. Far from the reaction he always had whenever he hear things about that brat.
"Okay. Tell them it's fine." He said with a monotone voice.
The person across the line bids goodbye and cut it off.
Two hundred million dollars.
That's an interesting amount for anyone who could hear. But for Siren, it was like peanuts in her hands.
His lips curved into a smirk.
If it wasn't for his plan, he would not mind her at all. Even if she was the daughter of his stepfather.
Since his mother learned about Siren's inheritance, she started became anxious. In just a snap, she sell her two boutique shops just to gather enough money as she planned to have a divorce with Greg Mendez.
But later on, Sylvia learned about his participation on the money and she threatened his mom.
He will not allow that. He won't let Sylvia ruin everything that his mother had. He knew he had to fight on his mother stead.
And he will use Siren as a weapon against her mother.
---------
The family was already having their dinner when I arrived. The noise they made were full of laughters and joy.
I stayed at the kitchen until they are done. Even if the two other helpers were ignoring me, I don't mind it anymore. It's been a while but the two of them were still unwilling to even say a thing to me.
When the dinner is over, the two woman quickly move to clean up the table. I was sitting on a high stool and just browsing on my phone.
"Hey ..."
I suddenly turn around when someone tapped my shoulders.
It's Claudia, smiling at me.
I gave her a quick glance from head to toe until my eyes focused on her neck.
She's wearing a diamond necklace. It was indeed shining on her.
"I think I saw you earlier at the mall." She said.
"Really? I was there earlier. " I agreed.
"So it was really you? The one who's with a guy while shopping?" Her face was having a smug look while looking at me.
I tilted my head. Just by looking at her, I clearly know what's going on inside her head.
"What's wrong? Am I not allowed to go shopping with a guy?" Unfortunately, I feel lazy to be a hypocrite today. This woman in front of me is clearly to project her assumptions on me.
"No." She furrowed her brows. "Why are you upset? In fact, I'm becoming your fan now. That guy is a catch." Although she was smiling, she still stares at me with full of disgust. "He can even give you a top brand new phone."
Darn this woman. She even caught a sight of her phone.
But that's too far for me to care about.
"Yeah, actually." I smiled at her before showing off my phone in front of her. "And he even droves a Lamborghini."
"What a gold digger..." She whisper but loud enough for me to hear.
"You think? But I guess it's just alright as soon as he was still single." I shrugged my shoulders. "Sticking myself with a married man isn't as good as playing around with some wealthy single men out there." I said using a tone with underlying meaning.
She scoffed. "And what do you mean by that?" She glared at me in an instant.
"Nothing. I'm just saying that, since I'm still young, it's fun to roam around with guys who can give me plenty of expensive things." I again, look at her necklace with a smirk. "Not just a necklace worth thirty thousand bucks..."
Her hand quickly reach her necklace and touched it. As if it was going to robbed from her.
"Aunty Claudia." We both turned as a familiar woman came in.
"Oh, Meryll..." I almost rolled my eyes with her quick fake reaction.
"What are you guys talking?" The woman smiled but I know it's just fake.
Why do I have been meeting this kind of women all my life?
"Nothing. I just asked Reena if she's the one at the mall earlier."
"Ah..." Then she looked at me. " Seems like you're familiar too. Have we met before?" She has a sour reaction that make me feel like wanting to rip her face off. She's too hypocrite!
"No." I simply said.
"Oh, now I remember. You are the one at the cafe earlier. And I remey seeing you too at the Japanese restaurant. You're even get in the VIP lounge." She commented.
"Oh really? A VIP lounge? I guess her boyfriend is really rich." A side comment from Claudia, the witch.
"By the way, are you also a friend of the family?"
"No. She's working here as a maid." Claudia quickly answers.
An obvious "Oh," came from Meryll's red lips. "A luxurious date earlier didn't give me an impression that you are working as a maid." A faint mockery was in her eyes as she looks at me.
Seriously? I thought that this woman is a kind person, but she's just another witch all along.
"Why so? Am I not worth of such a luxurious date, like you said?"
"Gold diggers are all acting like the same." Claudia said.
I scoffed. These two witches have the same attitudes as well. I wonder how Conrad could be so blind that he even go on a date with this kind of a woman.
"Being a gold digger is fine. At least no one will ever be calling me mistress whenever people are around."
I almost fail to keep a straight face when I saw how furious Claudia's eyes were. I could feel her senses killing me with her look. I look at her with a did-I-hit-it-right kind of look.
"I never met such a rude woman like you! Aunty Claudia is older than you, yet you are talking back at her!" Meryll's voice tone makes ear ache as she speaks. "Such an ill-mannered woman!"
"Watch your word, woman." I lowered my gaze on her. "We only meet here today, yet you are allowing that ugly mouth of yours to spit ill talks."
"What are you guys doing here?" Three pairs of eyes found the man standing at the kitchen door looking at us. Download Novelah App
