Todd frowned with what she said. "You're already living independently, and you are saying that you don't know how to do houseworks?" She must be kidding.
"It's true that I'm living away from my parents. But it doesn't mean I can't hire helpers for me." Her expression didn't show any sign of joking.
"Maybe it's time for you to learn. Besides, you're pregnant, and you must be having someone on your side to take care of you."
At the upcoming end of their conversation, Siren could feel that this guy in front of him didn't have any idea how she was living her life until now. Regardless of what he was seeing at her home. He still have the same impression that she was just bluffing and he can't take her seriously.
Like seriously? Isn't it obvious that she was living not just a comfortable life just by seeing where she lives? It's a freaking multi-million worth of a Penthouse in an exclusive residential building and he was thinking that way?
Didn't he have any idea that even the furniture, appliances and the couch he was sitting in worth more than what he can earn In a month?
Though she's not into bragging things, she still can't imagine how people can actually judge her regardless on how she was living her life.
"Thanks, but no thanks. As I said, I'm actually living a comfortable life. But if you want, you can visit me here anytime."
"Well, if that's what you want. I'm just concern. Just by looking at your place like this, I know it's not pretty necessary for you to stay here. In my place, you can actually save money." He suggests.
"My parents do have money. So I can pay my bills as well."
"Look, sooner or later you are going to be a parent too. Instead of wasting your parents money here, you should be keeping it instead for the child's future."
"I don't have to think about that. I'm sure you can give half of your money to the child."
"Are you for real? Do you think that I will do that while seeing you wasting your money alone?"
The longer they talk, the more agitated he becomes. But Siren felt the same way. As much as possible, she just wanted to live a life where everybody will look at her like a normal person too. But it's getting the wrong way every time. She was always misunderstood and it was really stressful.
"Look, the only reason why I ask you to meet me earlier, is to tell you my condition and ask about your opinion. I was just pregnant with our child. But I'm not your girlfriend or wife. Why are trying to convince me to move to your place? Can't you see that I'm much comfortable living here? This is my home. Not yours to mind, okay? So you better keep your opinions to yourself 'coz I don't need it. And also, if you are that reluctant to support the child, it's all up to you. But if you decided not to, you better keep your distance away from me. I don't need a man like you. Or my child even need a father like you."
Todd looks at her and he could truly see that she was serious not giving a shit about his opinions. And that made him speechless.
For the first time, he met a woman who can make him feel like he's not a catch at all. Unlike those woman whose always ready to hover him. Why? Because he was young, talented and a millionaire.
Money talks and he knew it. But it was not appealing for this woman. She was frank and straight-forward. She can say words as if she didn't give a damn if it can ruin anybody's ego or not.
"Alright then. I'll respect your decision." He heard her heaving a sigh. "I'll just come and check you from time to time. I will find a housekeeper for you too so you won't be alone here."
"No thanks. I have my own housekeeper here."
"Then, if you want, I can give a share for your bills too. I don't want you to be stressed with that. Besides, you're bearing our child, it's just necessary for me to take care of you too."
" You don't need to do that. This place is mine. And was fully-paid so I don't need to think about rental dues either."
Todd looked at her with confusion. Did she just say that she had fully-paid her place? Is she serious? The place worth a fortune to be paid and she was telling him that it was her?
"If you are confused, you heard it right. I owned this place. Everything you can see is mine. So you don't have to think about sharing me your money. If money is the issue, no worries, I can handle it. Just be a father to this child and wwe're setlled."
This woman might be from a wealthy family to act this way, he thought.

After the guy left, Siren called Harry.
"How is he?"
Harry sighed. "He's still sleeping."
With the thought of Conrad, Siren fell into silence.
Thirty minutes before Todd came, she used to call Harry when Conrad was knocked off being drunk.
Good thing that he arrived as early as she expected and he took Conrad to his flat.
Siren felt a pinch on her chest when she remembered how he kissed her at the bar. It was a heartbreaking kiss for her since she was still moving on from him. He was still the same. He could still make her feel like she only belongs to him. And her whole being was only made for him.
She felt it before. That's why she gave in to him. But things aren't too perfect and less, it only torn her apart at the end. The moment he said that he was about to get married to that blonde girl, is the same moment that her heart has been torn into pieces.
It was her dream. He was her dream. She dreamed about being his wife. And setting herself to love him all her life.
But it ends so soon. And now, she has the reason to force herself to go on with her life without him. She's already pregnant with Todd's child. And though they didn't have feelings for each other, they still have to get along for the child's sake.
"Tell him to leave when he wakes up." She instructed Harry before hanging up.
She fell silent for a couple of minutes. She felt mixed emotions inside her. She wanted to cry but no tears coming out.

Coming home from Siren's house, Todd finds Chad waiting for him while sitting in the living room.
"Where are you from? I've been waiting for you for a while." He says.
"I'm from the penthouse. I accompanied Siren home." He replied.
"Did you go with her? Why, are you her boyfriend now?" Todd laughed softly at what his twin had said.
"No. But she told me she was pregnant and I was the father of her baby."
When he turned in Chad's direction, he saw the unbelievable reaction on its face. Apparently his brother heard a deafening explosion because of what he said.
After all, they had almost the same reaction about the news.
"Wait, please repeat? I guess I heard it wrong."
"You heard it right. I'm going to be a Dad soon."
"But how? I mean, since when? I thought you just met again?"
"Something happened to us the night we met her at the Resort. I don't know how but we just woke up in the same situation. But even I can't remember it clearly, I remember myself as the on who brought her to the villa where I was staying. "
Chad was just shaken up in disbelief.
"In that case, you'll be a father soon." Later it says. "So what are you up to now? What did you two talk about?"
"Honestly, I still don't know. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the responsibilities as a father."
"What did she say? Did she demand regarding anything?"
"Not really. She said I just need to be a father for the child. Meaning, I should recognize our child as father."
"Don't you think it's just her scheme? Maybe sooner or later she'll be showing off her true colors and she can use the child to get whatever she wants from you."
Todd knew in himself that was unlikely to happen.
Siren is a woman with high ego and pride. He knew that she had a word and an honest person.
"I'm not sure of that. But whatever it may be she's still with my child. I can just turn my back on her at this point."
Chad shrugged his shoulders. " Yeah you're right."
"What's the news about the restaurant that I want to buy?"
"The price has come down a bit. But we can still get it at a lower price. A little more to wait."
Todd nodded as a satisfaction.

The next day.
Conrad got a headache as he got out of bed. He knew it was a hangover because of the amount he drank last night.
He first massaged his head to relieve the pain and then opened his eyes.
But he just wondered why the room he was in was unfamiliar.
He rummaged in the pocket of his pants, looking for his phone.
When he could not find the thing there, he looked around. He spotted the device on the side table next to the bed he was lying on.
He immediately picked it up and looked at the time. He got flustered to see that it was half past eight in the morning.
He immediately got off the bed and left the room.
He meets a familiar man on the way out.
"Good morning. I didn't thought that you are already awake."
""Where am I? Who brought me here?"
The man smiled. "I brought you here last night. You're so drunk that's why Miss Siren let you stay here first."
