Chapter 39 Secret unfold

After his urgent meeting with his business partner, Jeff sat still at the coffee shop while taking his time finishing his coffee.
He took his laptop computer and tried to insert the flash drive that the woman dropped on the elevator earlier.
He just want to take a hint of who the woman is and maybe he could meet her again and bring back the flash drive.
While it loads, he sipped on his coffee. After that, he tried opening the files to get some information. Until he spotted a file labeled as x-videos.
He smirked. Is she saving some dirty stuffs?
As a man who got curious with it, he open the videos one by one.
Only to be stunned with the third video he played.
It was a very familiar woman sitting on the couch. Looking so restless. She was with a man beside her who keep on trying to calm her down.
The man kissed the woman but she suddenly pushed him hard. Refusing his action. When she screams, suddenly, another familiar face of a man came in, he hits the other man's head from behind. Causing him to fell on the ground unconscious.
The next scene was, the man brought the woman inside the room. Now, the woman was really wasted and trying hard to kissed the man.
Until they both fell on the bed.
Jeff pause the video and closed his laptop.
His furrowed eyebrows along with his dark expression indicates that he was thinking about something that is not really nice.
He immediately looked at his watch. Before picking up his phone.
"Is the young lady there?"

Olivia asked their house helper to bring tea on the terrace. She saw Sylvia going there earlier so she thought about talking to her.
After the last time they talked, she tried so much to avoid her. But she knows that she can't do it for too long that's why she needs to settle things as soon as she can.
"Thank you." She said after the maid had served the drink.
Sylvia, whose sitting on the opposite chair, raised her eyebrow after taking a quick glance at her.
"I'm not in the mood to talk to anybody, so please, leave." She says. Leaning on the backrest again.
"I'm not here to make a fight or troubled you." Olivia softly speaks.
"Then what do you want?"
"I want to clarify things between you and me. I'm not going to demand you to befriend with me, but instead, I wanted to let the tension dissipate between us."
"I'm not threatening you for you to feel tensed. You are just acting like I am a monster to you."
"You maybe not realizing it, but you do." Sylvia looked at her when she heard it. "I am now Greg's wife. And he's my legally married husband. But, in the eyes of everyone, those people who knows who you are, and to you, I am just his pathetic second wife. For all these years, I had always been your poor silhouette in anybody's impression. I know I can't be compared to you, but, the fact that I am still Greg's wife, I guess, I deserved respect from you too."
Sylvia's eyes looks like she's bored hearing her rants.
" You better get your true self in front me. It's just you and me, and Greg wasn't around. Tell me what you really want and leave." She said.
"Got my true self?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "Hah! Do you really think I am that evil?"
"No. Nobody was born evil, right?" She smirks. "It could only happen when a person becomes greedy and ambitious."
"Then what are you actually meaning to say with that?" She's getting annoyed. "Are you saying that I am greedy and ambitious that's why I married Greg?"
"I'm not saying anything. You just speak for yourself."
Olivia's face turned red. Shes getting closer and closer from losing her self-control. Sylvia just know how to hit her sensitive part effortlessly.
"When Greg told me that he's going to marry you, I thought that you were just one of his flings. But I was wrong. He did actually marry you. Don't get me wrong here. Actually, I do sympathize you for some reasons when I learned about your past-life's story. You've been the real proof that Cinderella story really exist."
Remembering her life before their marriage makes Olivia feel ashamed. It was a part of her life she didn't want to remember anymore. But here she is, sitting and listening to Sylvia, who's kind of wanting to remind her how pitiful she was.
"It's a life that no one wishes to have." She said, with coldness in her heart. "I didn't know if you are trying to point out the difference between us, or you are just simply wanting to humiliate me."
"Either the two, I guess they will make you understand why you feel that way towards me." Sylvia crosses her arms. "I became Mrs. Mendez because of who I am. Nevertheless, you became Greg's wife, because he loves you. I know, and I could see it. But do you know why you feel threatened with me? It's because you are not getting any security if you can maintain yourself as being Greg's wife and continue your luxurious life that you are having right now. I know a woman like you. You just marry Greg because of his money."
"That's not true! I married him because I loved him so much." She scoffed. But suddenly gave her a grin. "Unlike you, who wasn't  capable to be somebody's wife and a mother to her child." She purposely tried to hit Sylvia's weakest point. She wants to ruin her calm expression.
"Olivia..." But what seems to be Sylvia's reaction was the opposite of what she was aiming. Sylvia remains calm. "Earlier, you say that you deserved a respect from me." She turned her head to Olivia's direction. With freezing coldness in her eyes. Olivia could say that Sylvia is indeed a person who cannot be swayed by just hurtful words. "How much respect are you expecting me to give you? Do you think that being my ex-husband's wife can give you all the right to act like that in front of me?"
"As you say, you are his EX-wife. I am his present and probably his future. So you better at least acknowledge my presence too. Besides, isn't letting you stay here enough as a proof that I am being kind to you?"
Sylvia, let out a dramatically evil laugh.
"I didn't know that you are such a great comedienne. I feel proud of Greg. He got a chance to marry a clown."
If anyone could hear how they savagely roasting each other, others will think that they are hearing an old radio drama leading by this two women.
Olivia, who found the entire thing so funny, leaned her back.
"Well, at least I can make people laugh. Not terrifying them."
"Otherwise, it's better to give a terrifying aura to someone so they will be afraid to do anything stupid on you." She quickly turn to the table and pour tea to her cup. "But don't you know that clown-faced people are the most scary than monster? Just like Joker and Pennywise."
Olivia suddenly frowned. Not liking what she says.
"I didn't know that you have such great humor." With a fake laugh.
After sipping a little on her cup of tea, Sylvia stood up.
"The next time you gonna invite me for tea, don't put too much sugar in it. I don't like sweet teas." She smiled sweetly at her. "And please, don't use this CHEAP tea cups again. I have good ones. It's more presentable and more INCOMPARABLE than these." She took a glance on the tea cups on the table. "I didn't know that Greg allowed cheap things inside this house."
Olivia gritted her teeth as she watch Sylvia leaving.
