CHAPTER 3: The Second Meet Up

While sitting on their thrones, Marianne's mother suddenly mentioned Harrington's Royal Academy, the most expensive and prestigious education among all Royal Academies, with only a few students able to pass the entrance exam. "Your father and I have decided to enroll you in Harrington's Royal Academy, but with one condition – you need to visit the prince to study together for the entrance exam, okay?" Elena said. When Marianne heard it, her eyes beamed with confidence and determination. "Okay, I will study to pass the exam! I want to go to that Academy!" she said. "By the way, may I know what happened earlier? Why did you kick Prince Ace?" her father asked. "Uh, he's so rude. He said that I am going to marry him soon, and he closed the door on me before I could reach it. He's no gentleman," Marianne explained. Vale let out a deep sigh and facepalmed. "This is going to be tough," he whispered.
Tomorrow morning, they visited the Sylvan Kingdom again, and Alexander greeted them in the grand entrance when they arrived. "Hi, hi, nice to meet you again, Vale," he said. "Nice to meet you too, Alex," Vale responded. Alexander then guided them to Ace's room, where they found him sleeping. Alexander let Marianne enter, and she went into the room. "How about we drink tea together, right? We'll be a family soon, so why don't we spend time together," Alexander said as he closed the door and walked away to lead Vale and Elena to his room. Marianne approached Ace in his bed and stared at him. When Ace felt like someone was staring at him, he opened his eyes gently and saw Marianne by his side. "You're so ugly when you sleep," Marianne said. Ace got up and stared at her. "Well, at least I didn't complain about your ugliness even though you're not sleeping," he said. Marianne felt a pang in her heart when she heard it. "Hey! I'm not ugly!!" she shouted. "You started it," Ace said while walking away. "Hey, where are you going?!!!" she shouted. "You're so stubborn, it makes me want to jump off the balcony," he said coldly. "Then jump off the balcony, so that I can't see your ugly face anymore," Marianne said. "Okay," Ace responded coldly while grabbing a book from his shelf. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Trying to figure out how to shut your mouth," he said.
Marianne was stunned by his words, and she stared at him. Ace then approached her with a book, "What school are you planning to enroll in?" he asked. "Harrington's Royal Academy," she responded. "Give up now, you're not able to enter that academy with that attitude of yours," he said coldly, but he was just teasing her. "I will enter that academy!" she shouted. "How about you? What school are you enrolling in?" she asked. "Same as you," he responded. "Huh? You're enrolling in Harrington's Royal Academy too?" she asked. "Yes," he responded. "Haha, give up now! You're not going to enter that academy!" she shouted. "I can if you shut your mouth," he said while opening the book. "You're trying to study, huh?" Marianne asked. "You're not studying? What are you? A genius?" he asked.
"That's the reason why I'm here! To study with you!!" she shouted. "Oh, I thought that you're here to disturb me so that I can't study," he said. "Of course not!!! Are you stupid?!!" she shouted. Ace then gave her the book coldly, "You should shut your mouth and study this," he said. Marianne accepted the book and opened it, "You can read and write?" he asked. While staring at the book, Marianne realized that she didn't know how to read and write. She was silent while staring at the book. "Read that paragraph," Ace said while pointing to a paragraph in the book. Keeping her pride and ego, she tried to read it, but she was struggling. Ace sighed and said, "I see," while walking away to open the door. "Where are you going?" she asked. "Follow me," he said coldly. Marianne followed him, but before she could reach the door, Ace closed it like he did last time. Marianne got pissed off and opened it herself. When she got out, she caught up with Ace. "I'm happy that you didn't kick me this time," he said. However, Marianne kicked his knee, making him fall again. However, Ace stood up immediately and stared at Marianne coldly. "As expected. You're so stubborn," he said while walking away. Marianne followed him, pouting.
In a few moments, Ace and Marianne arrived at a room. Ace opened the door, and when they entered, Marianne was amazed to see a very large library. All the walls were covered with bookshelves filled with books. "We are going to study today," Ace said. When she heard it, she suddenly became lazy, "Nah, I don't want to!" she said. Ace crossed his arms after he closed the door. "No! You need to study because you are so dumb," he said coldly. Marianne tried to make her way out, but Ace grabbed her hand and pulled her to a table nearby. He made her sit on the chair, "If you study, I will give you a reward," he said. "Really?!!" she beamed brightly. "No," he said coldly as he walked away to find a book for her. Marianne crossed her arms and pouted while waiting.
In a few minutes later, Ace came back with many books in his hand. Marianne was surprised to see a lot of books, "That's too many!!!" she shouted. He then put down all the books on the table, "What many? It's just half of the things you need to learn!" he said. "Half?!!!" she shouted. "Stop being lazy! Let's start with your reading comprehension!" he shouted while giving her a book. "Wahhh!! This is torture!!" she shouted. "Yes, it is!!" he said.
