Samantha stood there, meters away from them. She eyed them from a distance. She saw how Coreen’s hand were trying, touching Gregory languidly in his arms. A sensual look, stimulation. There’s only two of them left to sit on the table. She searched for Zion’s existence but she did not see him. Her eyes went back to gave Gregory a look. He was talking. He said something that made Coreen smile, making the woman moved her fingers to touch his arms again. She looked at Gregory. He didn’t do anything. He just gave Coreen a look. It was a tender one. Samantha smiled at she stared at him. But it wasn’t a happy one. There’s something. There is still that look of love from Gregory. Samantha alleviated the jealousy she felt through taking a deep inhale. It’s too early for that feeling to show up. Samantha reminded herself of it, of her place, and of everything. She was reminded by their marriage. She still didn’t know his reason why he choose to marry. But she was then again reminded by her own reasons of marrying a man she didn’t know. Samantha’s eyes went to them again. She suddenly saw them laughing together. Samantha who is completely conscious of what she wanted to do turned to the the opposite direction instead of heading back straight to the table where she left. She turned towards the exit not telling Gregory of her need to leave the place. She head out, detaching the thought of wanting to pull Gregory with her… It was an indication of the true feeling she had within her. She hated how she feels something like this for a man she just met. Closing her eyes she too another breath. She hated how she was receptive in feeling her feelings. Someone held her in her elbow, Samantha flinched and turned her head immediately. Another indescribable feeling flowed when she saw his face. Samantha however pretended. She hid her feeling of shock. “Yes?” She asked. “What do you need?” Zion looked, weighing her expression. He displayed the look of stoicism in him. His eyes equaled hers. “You’re leaving.” Samantha’s look tightened. It wasn’t worded as a question. “Yes. I am leaving.” She answered him calmly. Zion handed her his coat. “Here. At least take it with you.” He offered. Samantha was reminded by his innately kind nature. She stared at the thing he was handing her. She moved her head. Zion reached for her hand and let the coat be held by it. “It’s cold, Sam.” He threw a dismissive tired look towards her. “Look-I will not pester you tonight. We will have a talk, Sam. We can talk. We can talk anytime.” She wanted to evict the toxic thought that is slowly creeping in her head when she understood what he meant by it. “Talk? I am sorry but I think I don’t have any time to listen to you.” Her gaze was sharp. Her smirk was taunting. “Look, I don’t want to listen to your lies. You lied and now you’re starting to scheme lie. Does your fiancee even knows about Grace?” She accessed her look. “Oh, don’t mind it. Why am I even bothered about it. You already left Grace alone right?” She grabbed his hand to return the coat back for him to hold it. She turned her back. “How about your husband? You won’t tell him that you’re leaving.” Zion talked which forced Samantha to stop walking to turn her head to him. She eyed him. “I don’t see myself trying to give an explanation of my decision to leave, Zion. It’s not something for you to intrude. I don’t see the need for you to be concerned about this matter.” She just wanted to get away and be with herself to process what happened tonight. She walked, her heels were making its own sound as she walked away. She felt the cold air kissing her skin but she ignored the cold and continued to walk. She stilled when there was nudge inside her. She turned her head towards Zion again only to see Gregory heading towards the exit. Their eyes met making her avert her gaze. She fasten her walked. She reached the spot and moved her hand, the cab stopped in front of her. She hurriedly opened the car and head inside. She was abrupt to tell the cab her location. The vehicle started to move. She stared through the car window only to see the sullen look from Gregory when he tried to catch up with her pace but failed. She remembered her sister’s situation with Zion. Her head suddenly throb. She sighed. Her mind is reminding her of it again. Zion was always been a calm man. He was calm indeed but he was a walking representation of mystery. Her sister fell for him. But she always wanted to know whether he loved her sister as much as she loved him. Does he really fell for Grace? Zion was nowhere to be found. He was gone even after Grace’s accident took place. When the accident happen she tried to call him to let him know about her state but there was no answer. The only thing she knew is that Zion left and Grace didn’t even bother to explain anything to her about it. She leaned back. She was now feeling the stress act up. She closed her eyes and take breaths to ground herself. She have to maintain a healthy frame of mind or else she will fall again to the pit of melancholy. She couldn’t do that to herself. She has to look after herself. The cab stopped and she got out. She grabbed her phone out of her clutch bag only to see a lot of missed calls from Gregory. Guilt started to crept in to Samantha’s mind. She didn’t tell him anything. She just left him because she feels like doing so. She started to walk and entered the neighborhood. She’ll be staying in her own place tonight…
