Samantha pursed her lips as her and Gregory exchanged gazes in front of the dishwasher. She couldn't be mad at him. He was wearing her white shirt. One of those expanded large tees she hastily bought because it was on sale. Two, it was from her favorite brand. The three, her friend Cassidy was with with her. She was the one who encouraged her to buy the shirts because they'll be twinning. She mentally grimaced when the word “twinning” came in mind. She wanted to padded, to evict him out of her place immediately. But the man was persistent in his request to stay in her place for a bit. They ate breakfast together. For sure, they'll be eating their lunches in the middle of the day. Together, again... “Can you stay here? I'll go to Pedro's house to ask for help.” Samantha uttered. The man shook his head. “I can fix this. There's no need to for you to have another man here in your place.” Gregory was calm. He was calm when he said his utters. He was also calm when he looked Samantha straight in her eyes. Samantha couldn't be that amazed on how he was cool in her approach. He was able to maintain a certain level of primness in him. His even temper—something she couldn't successfully grasp to incorporate in herself. “Pedro is a plumber man, Greg. I'm sure it'll be an easy fix for him.” She nudged. Her eyes went to the disengaged pipes. The water was dripping on its sides. She stared at Gregory hoping for a positive answer but he shook his head languidly at her. She couldn't extend the warmth in maintaining her act of being hospitable towards him. “You're acting unreasonable.” She stated. Samantha was calm. She was able to calm herself even her insides are starting to boil in annoyance. Her temper is hanging loosely. She felt she was latching on the edge of the thread of her anger. It will burst in no time. It definitely will if Gregory will keep on insisting that he can fix the pipes even when it was clear as a day that the man doesn't have any hint of knowing on how to fix pipes. “We need to call a plumber, Gregory. We do need help from this.” She uttered. Her eyes maintaining their eye contact. Gregory was silent. He just plainly gave his stare without budging. Samantha on the other hand felt the desire to scratch like a cat. She's feeling irritated. Who knows that this level-headed gentleman who's blessed with almost everything a man could ever desire to have was gifted with an enough stubbornness to make her blood boil. She was wrong for thinking that this man was perfection. It was clear he isn't that perfect after all. There's still this one little thing—but it wasn't a flaw. Samantha thought for herself. It wasn't a flaw. She was reminded by her mind. It was something that's natural too in a human being. It's not a flaw. She hieved a sigh. Her shoulders were down. She doesn't want to create an argument between them. It's not something that she wants. What she wanted is, is for them to be at their best to have a great time together while the two of them are still married. She doesn't know when this will end. And there's such a massive uncertainty up in the air. The only thing that they can make this worth their time —is to make an effort to make it worthy for the both of them. She reside and moved her gaze up again. She stared at Gregory. He sighed too. He went closer to her. Gregory reached for her hand. He was staring intently to Samantha that she can feel the Loyd thumps inside her chest. “Alright. But it's you and me. We'll call the plumber together. You will not go there, alone.” He said in a fixed voice. It made Samantha nod. Gregory suddenly smiled because of it. He pulled her closer to him and planted a kiss on the top of Samantha's head while he was hugging her into his embrace. They broke from the hug. Putting enough distance from each other but they were still standing close. Gregory looked at her and something dance in his lenses as she stared. Which made Samantha's forehead knot. There's something wrong. She thought. She saw how his mouth moved and suddenly a grin was plastered in his face. Gregory pressed his lips and he suddenly was smirking. “But first, I would like to give this one a try.” He retorted making Samantha gasp. He suddenly moved and with sudden ease he managed to lift his shirt up. Gregory removed his shirt and squatted down, nearing himself towards the pipes. Absurdity. Samantha thought. She wanted to squeal. But she doesn't know whether it's because of his sudden removal of his shirt and that she saw how packed his stomach it —with the tones abs. Or is it because she was annoyed. Annoyed on how he managed to tricked her into believing that he wouldn't do something as surprising as this? She couldn't say anything. But instead stared at Gregory who wasn't paying attention to her anymore but to the pipes. When suddenly their eyes became alert. A scream was heard outside. Someone was shouting... Both of them stared at each other. Before Gregory was fast to stand up, following Samantha. Samantha stopped walking and turned towards him. She raised her eyebrows at him. “You will not go out without your shirt on, Gregory.” She expressed in a firm tone. It made Gregory's mouth moved. Her look tightened. “And don't you dare show me your smile. You” She poked him with her forefinger in his shoulder blade. “You need to put a shirt on.” They can still hear the screaming from the outside but the two seemed to be connecting themselves only to each other. Totally disengaging themselves from putting their attention to what's happening from the outside. When Gregory finally put his shirt back on. Samantha walked towards the living room to open the door. Gregory was behind her. She opened the door only to see her friend Cassidy running. She squinted her gazes, trying to have a clear look if it's exactly Cassidy who's been running in circles. She suddenly shook her head in disbelief when her friend suddenly threw her sandals to the man she's been running away from. She stared at Gregory who looked surprised at what's happening in front of the house. She quickly nudged her elbows at his stomach. “I think— I think we really have to help her.” She muttered in a low voice, almost whispering it to Gregory.
