They were already inside the house. Samantha and Gregory had finished their talk already. Samantha couldn't help but to notice how he still look sleek enough to be all that attractive although the night is ending. She smiled. This is one for the movies, the two of them spending their time together inside the house. She shifted for a bit. She stared at him. “Have you already eaten your dinner, Greg?” Samantha asked him. Gregory was fast enough to turn his head and said no. She paused and did some thinking. Before she then opened her mouth again to speak. “I wanted to cook for us but I'm really tired.” She uttered. But her eyes had a renewed sense of hope upon having another idea in her mind. “But we would order some food online.” She suggested. Gregory planned to break the barrier. He stared at Samantha. “I can cook for us. There's some ingredients in your fridge, right?” Greg offered to cook something for them. Samantha then had this engrossed look in her face upon hearing him. She suddenly felt hooked with his sudden suggestion. “You cook?” She asked her intrusive thought and let it out. Gregory displayed a sudden odd look in his face. Soaking up the reply he heard from her. “I cook?” He threw the question back at her. “Of course, I do.” He added. The rationality in his tone began to rise upon saying his words at her. Samantha raised her brows at her before she smiled at him. “Of course you do. I'm just teasing you, Greg. There's no need for you to be that serious.” She said it in a easing way that made Gregory exhaled immediately. She then clapped her hands before she stood up. “Then, there's no need for further postponing this. Let's head in the kitchen?” She questioned, while her expression looked at him happily. Gregory couldn't help but smile too. Her smile's contagious. Something his system couldn't reject. He stood from the couch too. -- Gregory's head slipped through the fridge. His eyes were merely searching through what's inside. Before he then stood up straight in his back and glance at Samantha who was waiting in anticipation for his next movement. He then went to looked back inside and started rummaging through what's left. His eyes caught one of the qualified ingredient he can use for tonight's cooking. He then closed the fridge before he moved to the cupboards. Gregory got the halsamic vinegar, somber scallions, onions, and garlic out. Samantha can only stare at him and the ingredients he laid out in the counter in fascination. “You look like you cook good.” Samantha suddenly uttered with a hint of teasing tone in her voice. Gregory only smirk at her in return. He's starting to be all focus on prepping the ingredients. -- Gregory was peeling off the skin from the chicken. He then placed it to the plate. Before he proceeded cutting the onions first. He was doing the things as if he was a skilled chef. Samantha was watching him, following through every move Gregory made. There's no self-denial of what's quite obvious about what's going on in front of her. A whiff of relief was suddenly felt by Samantha. His far way more different from her ex boyfriend who went behind her back. Gregory was different and the differences she can spot were the kind that were good. She leaned through the edge of the counter. “Do you need some help?” She offered. Gregory shook his head and smiled in return. Samantha was suddenly hit by the sudden activation of the rapid beating of her own heart. She stilled for a bit. Feeling that something before she stopped leaning from the counter. She then left the spot where she was at. Samantha went to the frige and started looking for what can be of use for her to prepare a cold beverage they can drink for the night. The two where now already in front of the counter each were doing their own thing. Samantha was so busy in cutting the apples when Gregory was then checking her, he was standing near. Gregory leaned. “Do you need my help this time?” He asked. His eyes where glued on hers. Samantha then turned her head and smiled at him. “I got this.” She chirped happily. Greg suddenly went rigid as he stared at her. His cheeks suddenly went crimson for a bit and Samantha caught it. She saw how he suddenly turned red. She blinked then her eyes suddenly looked at him in a confused stare. She went closer and touched it lightly with her fingers. Gregory suddenly coughed and turned away but she touched him through reaching his arms fast. She was really worried. “Gregory, are you okay? Is there something wrong?” Samantha was asking him if he was alright and he was nodding his head but he was avoiding her gaze. He was turning his head away, not even giving her a glance. “Are you sure?” She asked him softly. Gregory then moved. He then moved his head for a bit. His eyes were now back staring at her. “I am.” He answered. He then flashed his smile at her. Before he raised his hand and then he began to lightly touched her cheek. He was treading her cheek in a gently caress. “I have to turn of the heat of the stove so we can now have our dinner, Sam.” He suddenly uttered before he turned his back to where the stove was. Samantha was stunned. She then absent-mindedly touched her cheek lightly. Her mind was black. Her eyes where on him. She wanted to stopped the strange racing of her heartbeat but she couldn't do something to stop it. Her fingers then began to fuss. Samantha's mouth the quivered before she managed to smile. She turned her back and finished off the drink she was preparing for the both of them.
