Chapter 8: Breakfast

“Good morning.” Samantha greeted. It made Gregory immediately looked at her. His composure seemed unmoved. He didn’t flinched at the sound of her sudden greeting. Samantha smiled because of the way he remained calm.
“You’re up.” Gregory placed the cup above the countertop. “Good morning, Sam. What do you want for breakfast.” He asked her.
Samantha went closer to one of the chairs placed in front of Gregory. She took a seat before she eyed him. “Like the way you want your breakfast.” She answered.
Gregory moved away from leaning on the top and gave her a smile. “Would you like some coffee?” His smile went wide when he saw Samantha nod as an answer. “Okay. How do you like your coffee, Sam.”
Samantha began chuckling lightly. “Pitch black, Greg.” She chuckled even more because she finally pinned a nickname she can call him. Her chuckle made Gregory’s eyes lit up with something that can be compared to amusement.

“Smolting like a lava?” Gregory came back. Making Samantha flinched for a bit.
“You’re fast.” She replied to him. Gregory shrugged in return before he walked towards her.
She followed through his fine masculine movements. Samantha started to feel a little bit self-conscious. He looked effortlessly gorgeous. She wanted to go back and prepped herself in front of the mirror. She slept with excess of make up in her face. Gregory probably had the look of its cake-up. She frowned. Samantha went to look back at Gregory. “Do you need help?” She offered.
Gregory who was turning the stove turned to stared at her. He shook his head at her before he smiled. “Just let me do the thing, Sam.” He replied before he went with his movements.
Gregory was swift, quick to finish the chore he set for himself to do. The plates were now laid in front of Sam. She took her time to looked each one of them. “These looked salivating.” She stared at Gregory who looked proud with what he made.
“You’re going to love them, Sam. I cook good.” Gregory retorted.
He was smiling and Samantha playfully rolled her eyes at his comment. “Then, I think it’s now time to give these a taste. I do wonder whether they really taste as appetizing as they look.”
Gregory moved hus palm towards the food. “Give if try, Sam. My cooking will never fail your appetite.”
Samantha gaze at the french-toast topped with sliced bits of strawberries and some blueberries. This one is a basic recipe. It’s a classic breakfast and the taste completely depends on its maker. “Simply --elegant looking.” She commented.
She took a bite. “Mhmm.” She chewed it slowly, letting the flavor burst in her mouth. “This is good. I like how the toast was done.” She stared at Gregory to see his reaction. “I like its crisps.” She added.
“Well, I’m glad you like it.” Gregory took a bite of what he made. A smile of triumph appeared on his face. “I’m really good.” He said it in a playful manner before he stared at Samantha who smiled at his expression.
