"Rem, I'm surprised to see you here." A few of the she-wolves asked, their eyes tailing on me. They must have wondered who is this strange girl clutched behind Rem. "You're not on your secret mission now?" Asked another, holding Rem's hands. She saw me staring so she smiled at me. Rem smirked at them, "Oh, no. The alpha gave me a different mission." Their curious gazes stared back at me, and I wanted to gaze back but I gulped. "Who is that?" All of them asked. I could tell that even Rem was a bit nervous about why they asked about me so he tried to play it off, "You'll now here soon ladies, for now, we must be mysterious." all of them looked at each other with raised eyebrows, then decided to drop the topic. "Awee, by the way, the cake you gave us was delicious!" "Thanks, I got it from the town's bakery." Rem said, “If you want another, you can buy it there directly and tell the cashier that it is for me. She’ll give you a discount.” One of them scowled, “Discount? looks like you have another target of girls there.” Rem raised his hands, “Oh, I didn’t do anything, don’t blame me, blame my handsomeness.” All of them started ot burst into laughter, mumbling, “You never change.” As I watch them, they all feel so close to Rem. “Are they not done talking with you yet?” I whispered to Rem, wanting to get away here as I am feeling out of place now. Rem noticed my discomfort so he nodded, “Alright, I guess I have to leave now, ladies. They seemed to understand it and then walked away. “Who are those?” I asked. I feel a bit scared of dealing with my fellow she-wolves as all I got was trauma from them my whole life. First is Maya, then she-wolves from the Mdinights pack. Well, I could only count the she-wolves that I had made friends with. Amari, Alpha Kamilah, and Kira. So far, those three are the only female that I talked to and didn’t judge me. The rest of the she-wolves I encountered would always think I am their enemy and try to compete with me, thinking I stole something from them. “Some of them are my childhood friends, and the older she-wolves became my mother,” Rem replied to me, and I nodded. “Don’t worry, once they’ll know you, they will also take care of you and treat you like their family. They are kind and caring, they’ll love you,” Rem assured me, knowing that he heard my thoughts. Just then, a few children came running around and playing tag. "Rem! Look, he's fighting me again!" The pup was crying to Rem and Rem got something from his pockets and gave it to the pup. "Tsk, you need to train more than, be stronger so you can punch him back!" Rem advised, “Go to my room later, we’ll have our lessons in 101 basics of attacking our enemies.” “Yes!” The child high-fived Rem as if they loved and I scoffed. "I think that's not good advice to a child, Rem." I butted in and the child looked at me with his big adorable blue eyes. "Who is this she-wolf? Your mate? Rem glanced at me with a smirk on, clearly enjoying this and not bothering to deny it, "Oh, she is." I lightly hit him, scolding him. His lips formed a pout and frowned at me, What? It's true." "Don't go around saying that!" "Well, they would know eventually. He walked more and showed me more of their amenities. They had an incredible supply of food, and each herb was doing its role diligently. The deltas training, some deltas patrolling and scouting the area, the she-wolves in charge of the food, and the children playing around without any stress. Everyone was living in harmony, not having to think about their tomorrow for survival. I have to say, my father's ruling is much better compared to Zef and Kai. It is up to par with Alph Magnus and Kamilah to the west. Judging from Rem's interaction with the members, I can say he is famous everywhere. Everyone here treats everyone with respect. Something that the other packs lack. Everyone is diverse here and free to express what they want. Whenever we go, Rem was always greeted with warm smiles and I instanlty knew everyone in the pack loves him. They must see him as something precious to them. We walked around the pack. “So? What do you think?” “It’s nice. Much nicer than the Midnigtsn pack.” “I knew you’d like it here.” He said proudly, “Your father was never “you like my father. huh?” “Yes, he’s the best leader, the best alpha in the entire world.” “How would you know if he’s the best when you haven’t seen the others? You’re being biased.” “I had seen others, I have been traveling my whole life, Arya. I’ve seen worse.” He answered, “Some alphas were too proud and controlling and hungry for power that they would kill anyone who dares to take their seat.” He said, “Just like Alpha Elijah of the Red Crows. I am glad he died tho.” “Oh? Didn’t he escape from us when Alpha Ace arrived that day?” “No, I hunted them. I made sure he won’t leave a trace and spread his influence.” “So you also killed his wife?” “No, I took her as a prisoner.” I gasped. To think I was regretting that time for letting them loose. Looks like it was a good decision to have Rem watch me, he could easily track down the enemies for me. Knowing that Maya is alive and being locked here feels uncomfortable to me. I don't think I could handle facing her now. "She's under the care of the she-wolves. They "What if she dares ot do anything?" "Do you think we are that weak? We can fight anyone. The white claws are up to par with the Dark Crestpack in terms of power." I see so that's how powerful the White claws pack is...how come I didn't hear of this pack; as time? "It's cause we don't torture the weak. Alphas who had an incredible amount of power used their power to destroy the others and would spread their pack name around for terror. Alpha Leomourd doesn't do that. He wanted to create a haven for the tortured ones and develop them. The wind suddenly blew and a loud demanding voice echoed, "Rem! What do you think you are doing?" Rem gulped, slowly turning around to the source and he muttered a curse at the sight Alpha Leomourd was at the door of the packhouse just thirty feet away from us. "Get in here. Now!" "You think you can get away from this?” My father looked red now and the more we got closer, the more the air feels tensed. "Oh shit." Rem mumbled whole carrying me on his back, This might be my last day, and yet I still haven’t made you mine.” “You’re going to die and that’s your thinomg about?” I asked. “My only regret is not having you, goodbye, Arya.” "Good luck." I teased him. His eyebrows furrowed at me, "Why are you wishing me luck? You are also involved here!" "What did you do to my fighter?" My father's voice thundered off and Rem seemed to accept his fate as he walked to him.
