CHAPTER TEN (I WAS FORCED)

Taylor immediately ran outside and met Briana and Lace who also heard the noise from Nathanya's location. Behind the two were the prostitutes they had "rescued". After they heard the noise, Nathanya became silent, that's why they were in a rush. Their guards were held up high and just as they had expected, the guards were now surging towards them, bullets flying everywhere. The prostitutes started running for their lives and some were unlucky, falling down covered with bullets and blood.
"Fuck!" They exclaimed under their breaths. They quickly searched for the exit. As they did so, bullets from Lace's weapon were being thrown to the guards and those who approached them were either cut into halves or were beheaded on the spot. Blood splattered everywhere and heads were rolling on the floor. Upon reaching the exit, Briana loaded her crossbow and got ready to launch her killing attack, the BigBang. As soon as they exited, she released the bow with an explosive device connected to it. In a snap of a finger, the whole place was turned into a demolished area and flames started engulping it. They immediately rode their car and rushed to their condominium.
It didn't take them too long before they reached their destination. The three immediately rushed out of the car and entered the building. Seeing that the elevator was purposely destroyed, they quickly went for the stairs. Lace and Briana keep on hearing Taylor cursing. They were literally running now. Upon reaching their room, the front door’s knob was smashed and it was open. There was not a single light inside the room. Darkness reigns there.
“Nathanya? Where are you?!” Taylor started shouting once she entered, not even minding switching the lights on first. Same goes with Briana. Lace was the only one who had a clear mind and turned on the lights, only to see their room so messy and bloody. The plates in the kitchen were all broken, the small table in the living room was flipped. Taylor ran towards the place where Nathanya was supposed to be working. What she saw there was a dead body facing downwards and a trembling other. She grabbed Nathanya’s shoulder, trying to bring her to sanity again.
“He… he attacked… me.. I.. I didn’t mean to kill him ...him. I didn’t… please… Please don’t blame me.” Nathanya said. She was too scared to recognize the person holding her now. She keeps on crying and trembling. “I… I didn't mean to…” she muttered again. Taylor didn't know what to do but she hugged her and stroked her hair.
“Yes, yes. I know you didn't mean it. It’s okay. Calm down. Taylor’s here. Shh stop crying.” she said in an unusual soft voice. Briana and Lace were both stunned by the turn of events. So she also knows how to speak softly?
“He… he said he… he will kill me… I… it’s not me…” Nathanya continued explaining although no one is interrogating her. This is clearly the first time she had killed someone. Taylor just continued stroking her hair, remembering how it calms her down before when her mother is doing it to her, thinking it might also help calm Nathanya down. Nathanya hugged her back and was shaking terribly. She was almost covered in blood and it was not clear if she had no share in it.
“Ate Venice. I… I am scared.” Nathanya whispered although she was not sure who’s the person she’s hugging right now. It was at that moment when Taylor’s phone suddenly rang. A call from an unknown number but she still answered it.
“Hello there my dear. Did you like our welcoming party?” the person on the other line started.
“We already told you to look after her, but you didn't listen to us. Look what you’ve done to that poor little thing. You had started turning her into someone like you. What a shame!”
“Just where the fuck are you?! Once I find out who the hell you are, I will slit your throat open and I will pull every organ in your body out! Stop messing with us!” Taylor exclaimed and threw her phone to the wall, causing it to break. The two were just staring at her, hesitating if they should call a fire truck to stop the raging fire that was evident in Taylor's eyes. On the other hand, Nathanya started to calm down and she stopped trembling. She then suddenly became aware of the surroundings and looked around.
“A… Ate Venice.” she said in a very low voice and she lowered her head. Only now did she realize who was holding her. Taylor just looked at her with a straight face as usual but worry can be seen in her eyes.
“Have you calmed down now?” she asked and Nathanya nodded in response. She was about to stand up when Taylor pulled her again and embraced her.
“I’m sorry.” she whispered to her. Briana and Lace cannot believe what they just heard. This is their first time hearing Taylor say those words. They even thought before that maybe she doesn’t know those words but hearing her say them now without doing anything wrong towards Nathanya, they can't help but be stunned.
"I… I didn't take that text message this morning seriously. I thought it was just some sort of pranks. I… it's my fault." She said and lowered her gaze after she released Nathanya from her embrace.
Briana and Lace helped the two of them to stand up and started cleaning the whole house. They haven't changed clothes yet so Taylor is still wearing the now so short dress because of the show she showcased earlier. They called someone to pick up the dead man who had already been put inside a body bag. It took about ten minutes before a man showed up at the room.
"The elevator is broken so it took me so long before getting in here. How is she?" The man asked. Lace invited her in before answering.
"She was so scared but fortunately, she is more calm now. We will bother you about checking on this man's identity." She answered and pointed to the body bag behind the sofa. The man was none other than Drake Lorenzo, the leader of the subunit Brawlers.
"That'll be a basic task for me." He said and after he finished speaking, two more men came from behind, panting because they had used the stairs. They immediately carried the body inside the body bag and exited the moment they saw Taylor coming. Drake nodded to greet Taylor and the latter nodded back. She then handed over her broken phone.
"My sim card is still there. See if you can do anything about it. This morning, someone texted me but I ignored it because I thought it was nothing. An hour ago, someone called me. See if you can track them using that minimal information."
"I'll see what I can do. For now, you all know what to do." He reminded them. He started walking out the door when Nathanya suddenly appeared.
"That man. He actually… he actually asked me to kill him."
